  1. Yay! Love the October 3rd start date for SPN! Hate that we have to wait that long, though. At least it's still early in the month!

  3. there is still so long to TVD :(

  4. is it me or does everything seem to be pushed into october. ? what happened to september start dates. SPN started sept 23 or around there last time...others started around Sept 15th...
is it a production issue or is the cw looking to get out of sept ..????

  5. Hopefully this late start for the CW will help shorten the Hiatuses there so famous for this year.

  6. I think that it is more of a desire not to have premieres when all the other big networks have their premieres. I think that it is the first year that they have put everything in October though-- maybe it is to test if the premieres do get bigger numbers this way.

  7. Arrow premieres with episode 2 of SPN? That's weird..Why not together?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Gosh Nikita - October 19th that's too far away.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Woo! Early Hart of Dixie premiere! I can't wait to see the aftermath of the Zade hook up. Grr such a late Nikita start though, how will I survive? At least there'll be less breaks :)

  10. October 3rd, that`s still so damn long till Supernatural is back ;(

    ReplyDelete
  11. Arrow will only have 22 eps (if picked up for a back 9) I assume and Supernatural will have 23 so then they'll be on par to have the finales on the same night.
It would make a lot more sense to start them together and then catch Supernatural up during the season though.

  12. They're probably trying to catch all the people who aren't impressed with the premieres of new shows and are looking for something else to watch.

  13. OCTOBER? THEY MAKE US WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  14. SPN started in october for S3 too

    ReplyDelete
  15. Really excited for Nikita and TVD and 9O21O.

Looking forward to B&tB and maybe I check out Arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Super excited for Nikita. But why do we have to wait so long? I mean... October? Really? ;__;

    ReplyDelete
  17. wonder why arrow starts a week later but woowoo supernatural

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, I know. But in the past they have always had most of the premieres in September with a few in October. This year it seems that all of the CW shows are starting in October. I think that it is a new strategy to see if they can't improve on the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I knew we had to wait till October for TVD but everything else too! :\

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's true. I was expecting Supernatural to premiere with 1.0+ audience retaining audience from Arrow's premiere which is for sure gonna be huge.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That's what I would do. too.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Figured Supernatural would be Oct 3

    ReplyDelete
  23. This purposely late start for CW's premieres had better help because this extended hiatus is a pain. If the CW makes its viewers wait this long and the revised scheduling doesn't have a long-term effect in the ratings then the move was a loser, two fold. It will annoy viewers and sink ad values even further.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just think everyone. Soon, Gossip Girl will be at an end forever. It's a mercy killing to be sure.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I also wonder with Mark Pedowitz being a huge if we might get a "The Road So Far"
documentary at 8 with it being the the 150th episode.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think since the plan with the whole late premieres is fewer breaks I think at least there is a good chance for the ratings to be steady throughout the season. Lets just hope they're also a tad higher....

    It's so far away :-(

    ReplyDelete
  28. *nods* definitelly a relief that HoD is one of the relativelly earlier premiers....

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, the network needs the boost.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes finally the return dates of Hart of Dixie and TVD! The long hiatus is a bummer. It will only help me become more patient...

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't blame them for avoiding the returns on the big networks, but I hope they don't screw with us as much as they did last season. I was super annoyed by their (many) decisions to extend the small hiatuses within the season.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Depending on the show there, will be 4-7 fewer opportunities to schedule repeats than there was in the 2011-2012 season.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well that's a relief - I felt like I was a cat being teased with a piece of string for a lot of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Nikita almos in the end of october!! WTH???

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's an interesting idea. That'd be pretty cool.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love that Supernatural is the first week. We don't have to wait like we used to do.

    ReplyDelete
  37. One can hope he will. I would love to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Woo hoo! I was hoping for Oct. 3 instead of Oct. 10. At least I can pretend it's still premiering in Sept. this way. I wonder if they will be airing the season 7 finale in front of it. Surely they will make it a SPN night.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Awesome idea! I think we should spam the CW comment box with this suggestion. How much time could a clip reel and some interviews take?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm actually good with the longer summer hiatus. Having such a short winter hiatus really came back to bite them. We definitely need fewer breaks throughout the year and since they can't do 24 episodes in their time schedule, this will have to do.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think it is to make the most out of their marketing dollars. If they premiere at the same time, then everything is blitzed out. If they premiere a few weeks later, they can capitalize on other networks' pilot failures and have all the attention to themselves. After all, media people who have a chance to buzz about an ABC show or a CW show are far more likely to give the attention to ABC. This way when CW shows premiere, they are gauranteed to get at least a bit more press.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Why is it so late??

    ReplyDelete
  43. Don't get me wrong. I support this. I can deal with the long break because of the viewing schedule benefits. When winter comes around I'll be glad The CW made this decision but that doesn't make the wait any easier. :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. woohooo!!!! so excited!!!!! it seems so far away

    ReplyDelete
  45. It's a promotional strategy. Since ARROW Has no lead-in, having SPN premiere one week early can give SPN fans a new episode where promo spots will air continuously for ARROW so that when it premieres the following week hopefully SPN fans will tune in an hour early for the show.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This is premiere schedule is much better than the one over at NBC.

However, the best CW pilot I've seen is Carrie Diaries, suprisingly.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Can't wait for Supernatural, Nikita, and Vampire Diaries. Looking forward to seeing Arrow too. And Beauty and the Beast. Yes I just said that. :P

    ReplyDelete
  48. This pisses me off so much, for once i would have been able to watch my favorite shows while still on summer break but noo, of all years they had to choose this one to push everything back to October.
Does anyone even know the reason of this? And is this the same for the other channels?
