With the episode 5 ratings Continuum seems to have finally stabilized and stopped its downward trend, while it has fallen from its skyscraper ratings (by Showcase standards) Continuum remains the #1 rated Showcase series.
Ratings for Sunday 9 PM airing for each episode:
Episode 1 900,000 viewers.
Episode 2 670,000 viewers.

Whether or not it has stabilized, in my opinion, is still to be determined. A couple more episodes should be able to confirm that.
ReplyDeleteSeason 2, here we come!
ReplyDeleteIf they could count the number of illegal downloads of the show around the world then the show would have the highest ratings for the time slot.
ReplyDeleteTrue though it does look like it will be able to hold around the 400,000 mark.
ReplyDeleteWow. I don't know why there was such a viewership bump from episode 4 to episode 5 but the people involved with Continuum should consider themselves damn lucky it happened. The show lost another 41% of its audience between episodes 2&4. If that trend had continued, this show would have been done for.
ReplyDeleteWord of mouth getting around that this is actually pretty good?
ReplyDeleteIt's not just pretty good, it's AWE
ReplyDeleteSOME!
Had they waited until they'd sold the series to other countries and released it worldwide in one hit the illegal downloads wouldn't be a problem.
ReplyDeleteIt is one of the biggest downloads in the torrenting community though.
THANK YOU, CANADA!! This is is a show that people need to see!
ReplyDeleteI hope is not cancelled.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely good news. The show is still finding itself, but it's surprisingly ambitious and unafraid of telling unorthodox stories (or at least approaches to those stories).
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying recapping/reviewing it thus far...
I'm not sure how reliable this information is given Simon Barry, the creator of Continuum tweeted the ratings for ep 2 and 3
ReplyDelete"Data actuals for ep 102 - 897k Confirmed numbers up from 670k estimated. That's almost 35% increase. Woot!"
"confirmed audience for Episode 103 June 10 - 828k 9pm / 145k 11pm - Source BBM Canada, PPM Data - Nice!"
The numbers you posted for episode two and three were only estimates, I believe. Simon Barry tweeted that the actual numbers for them were in the 800ks. Episode four and five have yet to be determined.
