OMG Wow. I've seen this clip almost a dozen times now. So beautiful so well written. These two are so in love with each other and yes they are definitely soulmates. I've never seen two people who love each other more than they do and each really shown the last 10 episodes of Burn Notice (from Better Halves on upward).
Wow, really beautiful and sad scene. I love a lot of different couples on different shows, but I don't think that many of them feel as powerful as this manages to pull off.
Most writers don't know how to keep a show fresh once a couple gets together, but Burn Notice has managed to completely avoid that pitfall (admittedly in part because they will/they won't wasn't a huge part of the show to begin with). As a result, at least in my opinion, Mike and Fi's relationship has had a chance to grow and deepen in a way that you don't see in most TV shows. To me that's beyond awesome because then you get the payoff of scenes like this one.
As much as I want to see Fi back out on the outside eventually, I'm enjoying her time in prison because I feel like this is really strengthening her and Micheal's relationship (plus I'm really enjoying watching how much it's effecting Michael and sending him out of control). As hard as it is for them right now, it's bringing them closer together and my guess is that after this nothing will be able to break them apart.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
