YASSS TARA YASSS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm so fucking excited for season 5. Not just because of Tara, but that's a large part of it.
ReplyDeleteHell yeah!
DeleteHell yeah!
DeleteSo...Tara will be a vampire and Pam will be her maker, I assume.
ReplyDeleteHow does any of this imply that Pam will be her maker?
ReplyDeleteHmm, very informative, but I see no clue to the most important question of all: Which guy is Sookie going to be insufferable with all bloody season?
ReplyDeleteShe'll have her hands full with the Tara situation, but probably Alcide this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinkin
DeleteThe fact that we're hearing about Pam's past, tbh. Plus her arc last season kind of built to her becoming a maker. Tara seems like the obvious choice.
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, I certainly hope her hands are full with the Tara situation because Sookie has a lot to make up for on that front. She's been a less-than-stellar friend, to say the least.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of folks don't care for Tara, but I love her. Which is why I'm hoping beyond hope that she doesn't resurface as a vampire - I can't think of anything she'd hate more.
Sorry to. Dissapoint. I love her to. And I don't want her to leave the show
DeleteYeah, but logistically it doesn't make sense. What would be Pam's incentive for turning Tara? How would she be aware of what happened to her in time for her to save her? Why would she care? I get why people think that, but I just don't see how it could happen. I was thinking that Pam finds out that Eric turned Tara and that's what causes her to reminisce about her past.
ReplyDeleteShe really can't turn up any other way, there's really no other way.
ReplyDeleteI think she'll come looking for Eric but instead find Sookie and Tara. So that's the where part. As for the why, I think she'd do it to get back in Eric's favor. If Sookie is asking for help and Pam ignores it, Eric wouldn't be pleased when he finds out. So she reluctantly does in an attempt to make things right with Eric again.
ReplyDeleteEric and Bill seem to be busy with the Vampire Authority so they're set for the season storywise, which is why I don't think it will be them.
That all mostly makes sense I guess, but in a sneak preview scene, we see that Eric and Pam are on worse terms than ever, so idk how Pam turning Tara to get in Eric's good graces really turns out, but it's still possible. I guess we'll just have to see.
ReplyDeleteDon't really like the sound of this. Apart from the authority storyline, nothing interesting there. Was hoping to hear about Russell.
ReplyDeleteTara as a vampire has the potential to be interesting and I like how Bill and Eric are together in all 3 episodes.
ReplyDeletethink that is horrible, me thinks they just want to continue to prop up Bill, so sick of him...
ReplyDeleteI hate Bill most of the time apart from when he is with Eric and I would rather they keep them as working together rather than fighting over Sookie which is so damn boring
ReplyDeleteaah so very exited.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Waiting sucks! :-(
DeleteI like how these synopses only describe 3 or so storylines, compared to the 8 or so of last season. Hopefully this means a bit more cohesion for season 5, after the chaotic last few seasons? Although it could still be that there is still 8 storylines an episode, just that they aren't all mentioned here *sigh*...
ReplyDeleteyeah. lots of storyline last season and it will be this season too probably. But it's okay. one thing I like about the show is that it never really takes itself too seriously and while it's insanely addictive and entertaining, neither do I. It's a nice show that I watch when it comes on and don't really think about it when it's over.
ReplyDeleteTARA!! I honestly hope that Pam makes Tara a vampire. I would love those two snarking. Plus I'd love Pam to have a connection to someone other than Eric.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think so too. It will interesting to see the interaction between them, they've always hated each other and now they will have a strong bond. Besides Pam deserved to be a maker, specilly now that her maker (Eric) is being an ass to her.
ReplyDeleteso looks like tara has become a vamp.. poor thing shes been through so much and now she has become one of them.
ReplyDeleteBill and Eric bartering for their lives? That seems unpleasant. Maybe they should overthrow the Authority this season?
ReplyDeleteMaybe she turns Tara in an attempt to get back in his good graces and it backfires? Making Eric even more angry? For what reason, who knows.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the Authority vanish. They have an opportunity to do so, if they stick with a storyline from the seven books, All Together Dead.
ReplyDeletethey have been killing people... for these past months... When we saw that last ep with her getting the back of her head blown off.. My husband must had hit the rewind button on the dvr...a 100 times...Leaving people chopping at the bits... wondering was she dead.. then finding out she would be in the next season and then wondering what freak.. are they going to turn her..or heal her or what..I cant wait but I have to admit that I am torn.. its going to start after the Game of Thrones is done for the season.. and i don't want that to end.. but I cant wait.. for the blood.. either.. Oh the horror of it all.....
ReplyDeleteTara "resurfaces"...I swear she's going be some screwed up vudoo-ghost-vampire! (as in using both magic and vamp blood)...I hope she's not just a ghost. I would like her to have some physicality to her.
ReplyDeleteI think Pam's rage comes at being incredably lonely. She's relied on Eric's company for so long, she really doesn't know how to reach out...I like the idea of her being put in a mother figure role, because it would down the road give her a deeper connection to Eric and all the choices he has had to make...plus I think Pam has na attraction to Sookie too, so Tara would be a way to closer to Sookie, which also could like you said, in the immediate be a way to get back at her...but at any rate I like possibilities of such dynamics...
ReplyDeleteBut isn't that point in a show that explores xenophobia, -to "face" the thing we hate...isn't that how we learn? -And then it has potential to also force Pam to look at herself (there was just too much a build up between Pam and Tara to not use it)
ReplyDeleteI am not saying she has to be turned to do that, but it would be this great fun irony, but I am also willing to bet that if she gets turned it won't be a traditional turning...Magic could also be involved making her a different kind of vampire...(Discussing this with Miss Ford, brought us to the idea that maybe she could become the "bubba" of the series?)
I would be sad if she was just a ghost, because Tara has this energy about her that would just be sad to see that aspect of her further restrained...
If Tara comes back as a vamp and not just healed as Sookie always is, I think she will make a bad ass vamp. Her attitude and the wildness that comes with being a "baby Vamp" will be freakin hilarious
ReplyDelete'Jason reunites with his old high school teacher', makes me think of the graphic novel (which I can't remember if was deemed show canon or not).
ReplyDeleteSo, I am still unsure if Tara is a vampire or not but glad to know they didn't get rid of her. I just hope they try to make her a little more like season 1 Tara this season.
I love Pam (I love the character and I LOVE the actress) so I can't wait for her flashback.
I really could care less about The Authority but thank goodness Russell is back, that should be great for some laughs.
I am highly skeptical about this season, they have a lot of cleaning up and streaming lining to do but they have yet to do so at this present juncture so I doubt they ever will.
Still a fan, just not a FANATIC like I use to be.
How are the graphic novels? I haven't had a chance to purchase any yet and was wondering how the art and stories were, how much do you feel they add wait and "hints" to the series????
ReplyDeleteIf you have the cash to burn and LOVE graphic novels and miss the season 1 feel of True Blood, I think it's worth it. But nothing ever helps the waiting. Waiting Sucks! The story lines are completely different from the show but the dialect and character attitudes are pulled from the show (IMHO) so if you love the books and are always complaining about the show, you might not want to read it. But if you LOVE the show then definitely, this is for you. If you can find them in a public library that would be the way to go. Volume 2 is drawn differently but still nicely done. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteCool Thanks! -No I haven't read the books, I read a different Harris series instead, and I love True Blood they way it is...so this def sounds like something I would like (:
ReplyDeleteOH GOD.TARA WILL NEVER DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE
ReplyDeleteOMG, I can't wait for 5.02.
ReplyDeleteEpisode 2, can't wait to watch you!!! Human Pam...
ReplyDeleteSo it's sure that Tara survived, in a way, at least.
ReplyDeleteI find it quite funny how in ALL 3 episodes there's Bill AND Eric. They seem kinda inseparable;)
OH GOD.TARA WILL NEVER DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE
