  1. Not sure if I like the idea of more separated Sam and Dean, but I'll reserve judgment until tomorrow.

  2. I'm so sick of them splitting up Sam and Dean.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Absolutely LOVE it!!!!

They should so do a gay episode like they did with a lesbian episode on Xena. Maybe the series finale?

    ReplyDelete
  4. I guess it depends on the why? Something obviously happens that keeps them apart so that next seasons premier sees them having to find and get back to each other again. They could do a Dean trying to get back to Sam episode and a Sam trying to find Dean episode then have them reunite. This allows equal story telling, equal POV and plenty of drama. It also allows for both the guys to have a little time off too. But after they get back together they need to be together. No more separating, fans dont really like it.

I wonder if Sam's hell is going to come into play in the finale, Jim Michael's hinted that Sam's arc wasn't done yet and maybe Dean gets himself into trouble?

  5.  I didn't really like the sound of this interview but until we see whats going on I''ll reserve judgement.

If it's a cliff-hanger thing that gets resolved in the first episode of season 8, I don't mind but if it's going to be trailed all through the season. Hmm!

  6. If they can produce some good stories by separating Sam and Dean, I see no reason why they shouldn't go for it.

Also, a wag of the finger to the author of this article for assuming that just because they separate that they're "at odds."  The fact that they're not working together doesn't necessarily mean there's any bad blood between the two.

    ReplyDelete
  7. She sure doesn't know how to handle the mic. Gotta be driving Jared crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Well, I am  not overjoyed over separated Sam and Dean, but I hope the complaining, we have to find fault fans will wait and see.  Jared seems highly excited about it.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Would like to see them apart because they HAVE to. Like way too many things to hunt for some reason. Maybe a big bad trying to run them ragged by flooding the market with monsters.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Jared says it in the interview towards the end.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Did Sera kill off one more beloved character on her way out the door? Seriously? Sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm nervous about saying goodbye to "more than one" beloved character. I'm expecting Bobby to die. And I know Misha said that he's going to be in season eight, and that he was talking like Castiel is going to get further character development, but I'm scared for him anyways. I'm pretty sure that Jim Michaels said that Crowley will be in season 8, and he's a huge favourite, so I can't really see him going anywhere. And I don't want Meg to go. She's been around since season 1, and she's badass, and keeps growing in her complexity.

    This show is so upsetting.

    ReplyDelete
  13.  Really?  I watched the darn thing twice and I didn't hear it.  I might need to get my ears checked.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why split them? I hate when that happens! I love Dean&Sam together!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jim Michaels also said he didnt know who would be back next season, it's something for Jeremy Carver and Bob Singer to work decide. My guess is they don't even really have next season fully worked out yet. I doubt Misha would know if he'll be in season 8 yet, he was probably just speculating based on whats happened this season.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Pretty sure its just Bobby going away for good

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm pretty sure Misha at least knows whether he'll be in the season. Since his answers have gone from "I don't know" to "we're talking about it" to "yes".

    ReplyDelete
  18. Wait, whaaaat? Just when they seemed like a solid unit again T___T Though i'm glad if that allows Jared some free time to spend with his family and i agree with him that sometines keeping the brothers apart gives the characters a change to breath and grow individually... I'm just a bit worried about the WHY are they separated on the finale or could be in S8. Gah, i didn't expect this for next season so now i'm even mpre curious about what will happen in the finale.

Goodbye to more than two beloved character mmmm i expected that and i still don't like ot but I guess Bobby will be one :((( Misha and Jared seemed pretty confident about Cas coming back so i guess that leaves Crowley or Meg.... i love Meg right now but please PLEASE let her be the other one, Crowley simply can't die without being the big bad of the season lol.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Misha did an interview on wanting to be back n Season 8 if asked and it's been twisted so many times  to say he is coming back. Jim Michaels when asked at a rent convention about Misha being back in Season 8 said "he does't know yet"

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's Sera for you, taking away characters you love until the last minute. I expected one because it's a season finale after all... but more than one, just not cool! :/

    ReplyDelete
  21. I doubt they would refer to  Crowley or Meg as a beloved character.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes they would. A lot of people love Meg and Crowley. Characters don't need to be morally good to be "beloved" by the fans.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm not sure about if Meg would be considered a beloved character, but Crowley definately is. I don't think missing anyone else other than these 4 characters.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Can you tell me when he said "yes" that he would be in season 8? Just wondering.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I rewatched it again and he does say "at odds" but the way he said it makes me think he could just be referring to them being apart, not necessarily that they are fighting. That'd be odd since it seems like they've been getting along well lately.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm talking about a report from convention where Misha said that Cas would probably be more in S8. Plus, Sera Gamble herself said they were leaving the door open for him to return, so that doesn't sound like a definitive goodbye in the finale, at least.

And yeah yeah... we know you think they should get rid of the character and the storyline, we read it the first 50 times...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well Sera Gamble did let us know exactly how  the boys relationship will be left at the end of Season 7  (anything else is just speculation)  I thnk the boys separation  might just be like you said not of thier own doing or choice  And here are her words.

Will Bobby make another spectral appearance? Gamble won't say, but she promises that the bond between Sam and Dean will deepen. "After [years] of extreme physical and psychological torture, they finally realize they're doing the best they can," she says. "They're a team, and that's the place we are happy to get them to again - which is a nice place to leave them."

    ReplyDelete
  28. Saying goodbye to beloved characters. You'd think these words would stop making us nervous after 7 years and yet...I'm still scared.
Bobby is the obvious choice, sadly.Other than that,I don't know.
I'm ruling Cas out, cause even though there's not a final answer about Misha's involvement next season,Sera has at least confirmed that they're leaving it open for him to return.

Which leaves Crowley and Meg.I can totally see Meg dying, but I don't know if she qualifies as a beloved character. She is to me,but I'm not sure.
    Also,please,not Crowley!Please!

    ReplyDelete
  29. She's in the finale?!
    I didn't have enough people to worry about,thank you!    : p

    ReplyDelete
  30. No, I didn't mean that she wad in the finale. But sometimes we don't know who will show up.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Crowley is beloved. IMO he belongs in the same grouping as Chuck and Trickster. I am wishywashy about the new Meg--much like Ruby, the blond one was awesome, the next version, not so much. But if they kill Meg they can always bring her back. Crowley without Mark Sheppard would be a disaster.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My wish - the whole Sam/hell/boy king story wasn't really forgotten but instead resurfaces after Crowley dicks them around. They use Sam's blood instead, and this is the cause of the separation. The two deaths are Lisa and Ben being eaten by Leviathans offscreen.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ROTF! I wish the Sam/Boy King issue to resurface too - not that I have any hopes that it will - and two thumbs to L&B being eaten by Leviathans. I think I disliked L&B (and what they did to Dean's storyline!) more than I dislike Castiel ;).

    ReplyDelete
  34.  goodbye to two? Whos left to kill.lol
I wonder will we get a separation feel like the finale of season 4, just without the conflict between the bros.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I agree with you both, and I think most fans think Crowley is a beloved character.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah, at this point I don't who's going to back (besides J2) for S8. Both MC and JB have said they "intend" to be back in S8 and on this show even death is frequently only minor inconvenience, so "we're going to say goodbye to two beloved characters" in the finale could mean permanently or only temporarily.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think a lot of fans love him, but the way Jarad's quote reads is that Sam and Dean have to say goodbye to two beloved characters, and I don't think Sam and Dean would shed any tears over Crowley or Meg. Plus, the characters are too good to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yeah, the quote doesn't even say they die, just that Sam and Dean need to say goodbye to them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The "tease" came right after he was talking about losing the Cas's and Bobby's and Chucks and Tricksters and Mark Pellegrinos .... so my opinion is that Crowley is in that beloved group same as those guys.

I agree he is too good to lose. But I would have said the same thing about Bobby, so I have no idea what Sera will do.

    ReplyDelete
  40.  What I find force fit is your compulsive need to repeat in every single thread that Castiel need to go :-/

    ReplyDelete
  41. didn't read your respond. Just said the same. I try my best to be respectful of every fan opinion but enough is enough :-/

    ReplyDelete
  42.  Jared: " I love the episodes like 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' where I met my wife"

I bet you love it you adorable married ♥moose♥
    :-D

    Dean : You married fake-Ruby ??? #615

    ReplyDelete
  43. Misha will be in season eight.

I predict that it will be Bobby and the impala :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree... the difference in my liking/not liking the boys' separated is what precipitates it; for the finale. if it's beyond their control like the scenario you describe, it's one matter, and I like this idea because its as you said equal for drama both; if it's because one brother gets angry at the other for whatever reason, that I won't like. We already know from the promos that Dean and Sam will split up at some point (because of the "don't get killed" speech) where Cas and Sam are together and Dean (and Meg/Crowley?) will be doing something else. Is this the last point in the episode the brothers see each other?

I think Dean will get into some kind of trouble that he can't get out of easily - I think in a previous interview JP said he cried (or Sam cried).

    ReplyDelete
  45. The only reason I could see for the bros to be "at odds" at this point is Bobby. Disagreeing on how to deal with him maybe?
What if Bobby possess one of the bros like he did with the woman in 7x22?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Great point! My guess with this ^^^ in mind is that Ghost!Bobby "crosses over" either voluntarily or by either or both brothers deciding to burn his flask (I'm assuming they find it) and CrazyZen!Cas does "something" redemptive - I don't know what - and decides to the angel equivalent of a "walkabout" to clear his head and try to forgive himself. And *leaves*.

This type of" Cas exit" would be consistent with Robt Singer saying months ago that "Cas's 'god'-damage arc" would be closed in more satisfying way then the show left the character in 7.02 and still leave the door open for future Castiel appearances.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I could see that causing dissension, but not causing them to physically split up.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Chelsea_blue8718 May 2012 at 02:24

I think if they split up it should be something new and different that hasn't been done, not just another falling out. That's been done to death. Maybe one of them gets very ill or permanently injured and has to take a step back from hunting temporarily and the other one decides to keep on fighting or something to that effect.

  49. I love Jared interviews! I do!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I don't trust Zap2it at all. Jared seems
exhausted in the video. And the interviewer won't shut up long enough to let
him get out a full sentence.

(Honestly, he told you that he's on a
"baby time" and he said that he has been traveling a lot and you have
to interrupt his every other word to say something pointless and stupid instead
of letting him answer the question. No wonder she's reporting for a website
that has little credibility and takes so many things out of context.  I don't think it would be a stretch to say
that if the reporters of Zap2it were to write about their own jobs that it
would turn out to misconstrued and false.)

He's saying what he is hoping for and it's more
of the personal and character reasons than anything else. I didn't get anything
official out of Jared's statement like the article is presenting nor did I get
any real spoilers concerning tomorrow's episode. He hopes that Sam and Dean are
apart more for character development and one of the brothers is in a sticky
situation at the end of tomorrow's episode for the cliff-hanger.  I don't think there is anything to worry
    about just yet.

I'm tired of the brothers being apart, but I
wouldn't mind the show becoming more like “Buffy” or “Smallville” in the sense
of adding new characters and move towards an ensemble cast style with Sam and
Dean as the focus, but not the only characters in the series.  I do think that we need more character
development on the show and new "normal" recurring characters. I
wouldn't mind Sam and Dean being apart if it meant that Sam or Dean had loyal
down-to-earth-staying-alive friends/allies (especially for Sam in order to help
balance with Castiel). I don't want the brothers to be fighting each other, but
working on their own things due to individual story lines I think could work as
long as they keep Sam and Dean close with plenty of good brother moments.

Or the show could do something like “Smallville”
and “Buffy” did which is show what the bad guys are up to instead of keeping
the viewers in the dark.  Look at “Buffy's”
third season with the Mayor and Faith and “Smallville's” ninth season with Zod.
It would lighten the workload without taking too much away from the Winchesters.

I don't think we're going to get any real
    spoilers until Comic-Con.  So, I wouldn't
take anything said until then and even then too seriously. Right now, it's
    speculation and wishful thinking.
Nothing is official and everyone is on break.

I'm not worried, but I'm not
sure how I feel about the new showrunner.
I wish we could get an interview with Mr. Carver, because despite the
fact that he was working on the show for three years, I don't think I've ever
read a Supernatural-centered interview with him.  I've read an interview with him about
"Being Human," but nothing about Supernatural.  I want to see what he is thinking, but I
don't expected to see anything from him until late July or early
    September.

P.S. Maybe it’s just me, but Jared and Jensen both look so tired in
the pictures and videos. It’s a total mystery to me how someone can look that
good, hot, and tired all at once!! It’s like 7x17!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Chelsea_blue8718 May 2012 at 04:13

Someone really needs to bring the interviewer down to earth. No one cares what you have to say, they want to hear what Jared has to say...stop interrupting him and let him talk. What is this The View?

    ReplyDelete
  52. At AECon 3 last week. It was just a tweet about it. But Misha seems much more confident about Castiel returning to the show and talking about the character's continued development than he was a couple of months ago.

    ReplyDelete
  53. live_laugh_love120818 May 2012 at 07:38

I said this in Jensen's interview post but YAY for interviews!!! This was really good and it makes me even more excited for tomorrow and next season... It doesnt really bother me too much that their gonna be apart as long as it doesnt happen for like all season or something. And I love Jared with his "Im on baby time" So cute. =]

    ReplyDelete
  54. That makes sense and it could be what they're refering to. At least, we don't have to wait too much to find out what he means... i'm nervous and curious at the same time lol.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I read this and thought some fans will go crazy. lol  I have enjoyed the eps that focus on one of the guys, not only because they are usually very good, but it gives the other a small break.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Katadams has a good point about adding a more ensemble feel, but SPN always kills them off. I can't stand the current Meg, the actress has such bizarre delivery; I think she thinks it's cool or edgy or something.

Agree if the brothers split for a bit I wish it would be bc have to for a job not bc mad at each other. Been there, done that.

    ReplyDelete
  57. He may have meant a number of different things...I think that's why they put it in quotes in the article. But I agree I'm not sure he meant fighting, maybe just on different paths.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Jared say himself: he likes it because it strengthens the characters.

The hug between the bros in 4x01 wouldn't have happened if they hadn't been separated first. The better part of the separation is when they come back together.

Fans should listen to the moose ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  59.  Or listen to Jolly Green. lol  I love their reunions when they come to understand they are stronger together.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I agree for the most part with both of you - it does give both the Js time off and does make their reunions more meaningful ... as long as the separation is deemed necessary by both characters (as in FTBYAM), or they're separated because they "lose" each other involuntarily,  and not because a character (usually Sam is "mistreated" by the writers in this case) storms off mad at the other brother.
