LOL! First anime, and now Tranformers? I guess everyone has a little bit of geek in them.  Suddenly, I feel so much better about myself...

Cas's hug was just so....I don't even have words.  The boys looked so awkward though, haha.
And kudos to Dean for actually saying "please" to Cas.  His plea for help still sounded like more of a demand, but hey, baby steps.

Sam's confused face is just too cute! I simply cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I'll side with Sam in this one..What?!?
If I'm not mistaken,Metatron is the name of an angel.Which is very interesting, since the Leviathans were supposedly created before the angels and from what Death said in the beginning of the season they never coexisted...This is gonna be interesting!

  4. Hmmm I guess I know where SPN is going with this... BTW those all who've heard Metatron for the first time- It is the name of the Scribe of God, who is second to God (Yes Michael is not second in command!) and originated in Hebrew mystical writings first.

He is also called the one who is like God.
I really hope Supernatural will twist something interesting!
And this season, it had been all about those awkward male bonding... LOL at Cas hugging the bros and their reaction was amusing. :))

  6. Not sure how they went with it yet but if they are going by what has been written of Metatron and not doing their own version then

"Metatron is one of the most important angels in the heavenly hierarchy.
He is a member of a special group that is permitted to look at God's
countenance, an honor most angels do not share"

or the other which he was a human named Enoch and was transformed into Metatron

Living during a time of great sins, around the flood, he had visited
Heaven more than once. However, the time was ripe for a most significant
trip. One night, two angels woke him up and commanded him to prepare
for his journey. They took him on their wings, and showed him all the
Heavens and their inhabitants, including a side trip to Paradise and to
the place of punishment and torture of the sinners, which strangely
enough was located not too far from paradise. He observed the activity
of the sun and the moon, and made a visit of consolation to rebellious
angels, the Grigori, succeeding in bringing them closer to God. After
the tour, the great Angels Gabriel and Michael lead him straight to God's Throne.

Sitting next to God, Enoch was instructed in wisdom, and using his
skills as a scribe, prepared three hundred and sixty-six books. When he
learned everything, a most significant thing happened. God revealed to
him great secrets -- some of which are even kept secret from the angels!
These included the secrets of Creation, the duration of time the world
will survive, and what will happen after its demise.
At the end of these discussions, Enoch returned to earth for a limited
time, to instruct everyone, including his sons, in all he learned. After
thirty days, the angels returned him to Heaven.  and then the divine transformation took place. Additional wisdom and
spiritual qualities caused Enoch's height and breadth to become equal to
the height and breadth of the earth. God attached thirty-six wings to
his body, and gave him three hundred and sixty-five eyes, each as bright
as the sun. His body turned into celestial fire -- flesh, veins, bones,
hair, all metamorphosed to glorious flame. Sparks emanated from him,
and storms, whirlwind, and thunder encircled his form. The angels
dressed him in magnificent garments, including a crown, and arranged his
throne. A heavenly herald proclaimed that from then on his name would
no longer be Enoch, but Metatron, and that all angels must obey him, as
    second only to God.

  8. It seem strange that Sam wouldn't know who is the metatron.

So Cas is not really insane; he just isn't emotionally repressed anymore?

Cas tone when he says "Metatron" at the end of the clip is very similar as the  "stop asking stupid questions." He still has no patience for human bullsh** :-)

  9. I thought the same thing about Sam not knowing the name Metatron.  I didn't know it either, but I haven't been battling angels for the past four years.  I would have thought Sam especially would have read up on all of the angel lore back in season 4.

  10. I think it is pretty clear that God is assisting on this one. Sam & Dean got their hands on something from God's personal scribe and Castiel wakes up from his catatonic state and then a kid gets hit by lightning which turns him into a prophet.

  11. To be fair maybe in Supernatural's world Metatron is not that well known or known at all.

  12. I might not watch this show yet,but i have to say they have the best titles!

  17. I love the rare occasions when Sam is the dumb one. XD

  18. Well I'm with you on Cas being resurrected, and then waking up from his catatonia, and probably the prophet thing as well, but idk if you can thank God for the tablet. They got that because Dick Roman dug it up (likely to keep it out of the hands of Sam and Dean ironically) and they stole it from him.

  19. Supernatural's really been geeking out recently haha.. I love it! And Metatron? Man, this might be bigger than we thought. Looking forward to tonight's episode!

  21. I like this angle. Metatron and his intense hatred for demons is now in the picture. I'm still a little confused as Metatron is the "voice" of god as is heard by the humans who claim god talks to them. How does Joshua fit in all this?

Is this leading up to a season eight Winchesters v god? Or are all the demons going to get wiped out first?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yeah, you're right. Metatron is an angel.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ha, love it! Dean's obviously watched Transformers. Makes sense between the girls and cars. lol

And I love Cas hugging the boys! :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. It was stated that Joshua "talks to God", even if they use the 'metatron is God's voice to humans' angle, it doesn't preclude another angel actually talking to God, too. Joshua said he was just a gardner, not the voice of God. :)

And they wouldn't wipe out all the demons, would they? I dare say I'd miss Crowley. :)

  25. After the preview I just saw I'm all for it. Chicago station said next week's episode is on Sunday. What about you?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Meh... Dean's always been in the know of pop culture, and Sam is a bookworm so noether was too out there.

  27. Aw! Now you have me missing Gabriel....

  28. When the poll gets up on how much I liked this ep, can something better than AWESOME be there.  Great ep, moved the story along, and laughed so hard with the Cas and the cat story.  Enjoyed Kevin, in fact from start to finish this was a classic SPN.
