Update: 20th May You can now see what your banner looks like on the site by following these instructions.

1) Scroll down this post until you see the Banner that you want to test. Right click on the Banner and select "Copy Link Address"



2) Click the Help option from the Menu and select "Customise Site"



3) In the "Pick Your Banner" section, copy the link from Step 2) into the URL Field and click the "Click to Set Image" button



4) You can now see how your banner looks on the site.





Hey all,

It's that time again to give the site a bit a fresh new look. Each year since we started we've had a new banner.

You can see our current and previous banners below.





Now in the past our graphic designer did the all the work.

This time we're turning it over to you as I know we have a LOT of very talented graphic designers here.

Rules
The Rules are very simple.

1) You'll have at least 1 month to design a banner for SpoilerTV. (We'll give you plenty of notice before submissions are closed)
2) The SpoilerTV Team will then pick the best 20 Submissions and there will be a Poll for everyone to vote on.
3) The winner of the Poll will then be our new banner for the next year, and the winner will win a $50 Amazon voucher.
4) You can submit up to 10 Entries per person.

Submission Restrictions
Now there are some restrictions.

1) The Banner must include somewhere the SpoilerTV Logo. It can be any size you like within reason as long as it's visible somewhere. (You can download it here)
2) The Banner must be a PNG file
3) The Banner must be exactly these dimensions 1022px * 200px
4) The Banner must feature at least 4 different shows.

How to Submit
Simply reply in the Comments below and paste a link to your image. We recommend you upload your image to somewhere like tinypic.com or similar image hosting site so that you can post a direct link to your image in the comments. You can also upload them directly from your PC to the comments via the Image button on the comments form.

So what are you waiting for... get creating.

Oh and please Tweet/Facebook like/Google+ etc this post and send it to all your graphic friends!

    Oh, no no no no no no, that is risky.

    I am very very afraid that a Glee/Secret Circle/Gossip Girl/Pretty Little Liars/Two and a Half Man/Ringer/Are you there Chelsea fan wins, because it would mean seing these characters every single day on the banner. EVERY SINGLE DAY. FOR A YEAR. A WHOLE YEAR.

    Please please please, pretty please, consider a poll to decide which shows must be on the banner. You are the mighty Dark UFO Owner of Spoiler TV (to be read in a James Earl Jones kind of voice), can you give us any hope?

    Cathy, no one will be forced to use the banner. It will just be our default one.

    You can choose any banner you like. You can even put your own made banner on spoilertv for you personal settings.

    I'm not sure what you mean?

    The banner can be whatever you like but should include at list images from at least 4 different tv shows.

    It's pretty good. If you don't mind some constructive advice.

    - I think the "for the fans" text is a little messy. makes it hard to read.
    - I think the spoilertv logo is a little too large.

    But I like the choice of shows :)

    here is my first banners. I know the site and the previous banners had a more modern style but I went for a thing a little different... There's four different banners and for the first one (as always) I can't decide on the colors... For the shows I picked I try to chose the most popular ones on this site :) I hope you like it!

     Yeah it's on purpose I try to separate as much as possible the characters from the same show ;) And really Dean is front and centre because it was more easy for me technicaly :p with the position of his feet and all :) In fact the characters positions have nothing to do with who I like better it's more about the manipulation not looking weird :p
    for exemple : Regina from OUAT is one of my favorite but she's in the back (like Charming and Snow) I really don't like Rick from TWD but he's before Sam so we can see his gun... I absolutly love Peter and Olivia but they're in the back because it looked better that way ....
    (Sorry for my english i'm french)

    Yep, that's fine.

    When the winner is selected we will ask them to provide it as a PNG then. JPG for this submission phase is ok :)

    I'm not going to design one of my own because I'm not very good at it, but I want to give important tip to the designers: you may use the same background of the site, so it will suit well as a main banner. It looks more professional and it might give you some privilage (you can see that the last 3 banners that was chosen are with the site's background). And if you want to get my vote - you must include Fringe and Breaking Bad! Good luck everyone! ;)

    One of hopefully multiple submissions, a great competition to work on those photoshop skills.

    I tried to get some fairly popular shows in there, but as I went along I wanted to add everything :P Maybe next time I'll mix it up.

    1. Darker theme with blue smoke curving around characters, black background and light blue speckling texture. Features Dexter, Supernatural, Walking Dead, Vampire Diaries, Castle, True Blood and Game of thrones.

    Here's an other entry
     I tried to put as much shows as I can based on their popularity on this site (I use the articles "Most popular shows on STV" to be sure :p )
    The first banner is the "normal" one
    The second have a little nice (I think) effect. If you try to see what this banner looks like on the site by following the instructions, you will see what I'm talking about :) The banner sort of "melt" with the rest of the site design ;)
