Sherlock - PBS exec Rebecca Eaton "No more than three episodes a year"
2 May 2012
Sherlock
PBS exec Rebecca Eaton has insisted that Sherlock will always be comprised of three-part series. Three 90-minute instalments of the Benedict Cumberbatch detective drama aired in 2010, with three more debuting in January 2012 in the UK. [Digitalspy]

I think that sucks!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind. Rather 3 episodes of the quality that we've been getting, than more episodes and reduced quality.
ReplyDeleteI think that's smart! Having three 90 minute installments means the people writing and acting in this thing don't have to stretch themselves, thin in order to fill up the time....
ReplyDeleteI was literally just discussing this with my father. We both agreed that as much as we'd love more Sherlock episodes per series, we'd rather have a small amount of amazing episodes than a lot of mediocre ones.
ReplyDeleteThey're producing 3 fantastic episodes every series - I'd rather than this than possibly having the quality drop with more episodes.
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with it. Though waiting is quite painful, it is totally worth it.
ReplyDeletePlus, we can always read our favorite Sherlock Holmes books again and watch other projects this marvelous cast take part during the year.
