Are they going to completelly recast? I hope not! The casting was one of the things that had me interested in the show...
ReplyDeleteI picked up the book a few days ago. First I'm going to finish reading the 4-boxset of Songs of Fire And Ice so it will be a long time before I start that one. LOVE the idea of a show about it!
ReplyDeleteSo there's still a chance we're gonna see it;) Worth a chance!
ReplyDeleteAccording to Pedowitz they are just trying to rework the show right now and get it in as fast as they can, so I'm assuming that if the reworking (for lack of a better work) works, then the cast will stay in tact.
ReplyDeleteThe book is quite good, finished it in about 2 hours. its a light and fast read :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping they hadn't given up on it !! :)
ReplyDeleteIs is being redeveloped with or without the current cast?
ReplyDeleteI read the summary of the book online and it doesn't seem like my thing.
ReplyDeleteaccording to deadline the cw like Aimee Teagarden but are likely to change alot of the cast
ReplyDeletei heard the Narnia guy had sort of been force casted on them by the network so hopefully they change him
Thanks for the info. I can't say I'm surprised about the cast upheaval. I distinctly remember not being all that impressed with the people they booked for this pilot.
ReplyDeletesupposedly they are thinking of going for a more serious tone focusing more on the rebel uprising and politics and deviating from the book using it mostly for the setting/concept and taking it a completely new direction
ReplyDeleteNo kidding? Damn. That's one hell of a redevelopment. They should be careful not to accidentally make it worse while trying to make it better.
ReplyDeleteHe was the only one I didn't know and as such wasn't too sure about...
ReplyDeleteBut Aimee, Ethan, Martin Donavan, Leonor Varela and Sean Patrick Tomas are all actors I know and like...
Oh! That would be an interesting approach with that story...
ReplyDeleteIt could also go terribly wrong, but if handled right it has the possibility of turning into something rather good.
I quite enjoyed the booked but didnt see how they could make a 22 episode show out of it. Hope that they can sort it out and get it up and running again?
ReplyDeleteim glad! it actually seems interesting so hopefully they will figure this out quickly!
ReplyDeleteI hope this show is successful and gets at least 1 season so they can hav the original pilot on the DVD to compare XD The book was ok and I think a TV show could go well if done right!
ReplyDeleteoh I'm really glad.
