Update: 25th May Thanks to our readers in the comments who have confirmed this is a fake.

Thanks to Shellie for the heads up.

This is almost certainly fake but if anyone has any more info on this please let us know in the comments.

    I also vote fake.  Even if The CW did a poster of Elena similar to this, they would have made sure she looked better.

    Most definitely fake, mainly because the CW hasn't officially said that Elena will be a vampire, they said that people will be trying to reverse it and such. This poster would give away too much.

     I don't think they're trying to keep it a secret.  Yes, Elena's friends are going to try and prevent the change from happening but I'm sure the show has every intention of Elena becoming a vampire.  Even though Julie Plec didn't say the words "Elena will become a vampire," it's quite easy to read between the lines.

    Fans have way tooo much time on their hands, in other words definitely a fake. Game on, Elena does not ring true to any type of CW marketing let alone the fact  she isn't super sexy with her cleavage gaping open.
