  1. So, please be the final season then! Still sad/mad about Tim Daly being fired, tbh.

  2. Okay this is definitely the final season then.

  3. Well, lets be honest, with the mediocre ratings and Addison leaving this better be the final season.
I love Walsh, so I hope she'll be successful after the role.

  4. I thought the season only has 13 episodes?

  5. Wasn't pp picked up for a 13-episode season anyway?

  6. Do you think that means she'll return to grey's afterwards?

  7. I honestly doubt it, especially if she wants to do other projects.

Plus, even with the departure of two cast members, GA still has too many.

  8.  It does, but depending on the ratings, the show could still continue.

  9.  Yes, but depending on the ratings, the show could go on.

  10. So, it's definitely the last season.

  11. As Tom_scavo said, it was picked up for 13 episodes anyway - if it goes longer, it'll be without KW and thus good luck...
I really hope it means KW is coming back to Seattle Grace. I really liked her there.

  12. Agree with that... And i think even if she doesn't come back as a regular she could appear as a gueat star. I would make sense and somehow her character would come full circle...

  13. So... They are canceling the show then?

  14.  Kate said she wanted to do other things, and with Grey's there is nothing for her there. The cast is big enough at Grey's even being w/o 2 cast members.

  15. Let's be real. This season is 13 episodes because it's the final season. She's leaving because they're all aware it's the end

  16. No big surprise as I thought it was only 13 eps anyway. Hope that gives them enough time to flesh out a half-decent final season.

  17. This has to be the last season then? I mean the show was created for her character as it is. They should just give the show a good ending and be done with it.

  18.  They need to "Old Yeller" this show before it ends up like The Office.

  19. I love this show and Kate Walsh, but with her character finally getting a baby it is over.  I think that they should spin off and focus on Charlotte and Cooper though, they have become very interesting characters and I have seen so much growth and development for them (and lets face it, they are the ONLY ones on this show that have grown as characters) It just seems like such a shame to finally have this one great couple, two great characters, and many stories yet untold for them and the show seeing its final 13 episodes.  I would be a fan of a Charlotte/Cooper centered Private Practice or some sort of spin off.  I have also come to kind of like Amelia as well and with her ties to Charlotte she could play in to a show centered on Char/Coop as well.

  20. Love that she going out on her own terms. They might as well close it when she is gone. When they need to use the final Addison scenes of episodes to make a promo and put the real episode in second they really can't hope to have a show without Kate Walsh.

Another proof that the show can't work with out her is who would do the promotional legwork so effectively as she did? When they moved PP to Tuesdays ratings went down. The following week she went out to the talk show circuit and they went up 29%.  That went to waste when they decide to give the A-story of the 2 final episodes to Tim Daly (good riddance) and Scorsone.

  21.  It would be such a great success, right? PP was the only show returning from Xmas at the same levels as in the fall, 2.7. The CharCoop arc lost all the viewers that the Addison brought back in the fall, ending at 1.7. Nobody  even cared to watch the ending of the arc and only came back the following week when it was over. To higher ratings than the last 4 episodes of the CharCoop arc, and in spite of being on a Tuesday.

  22. As much as I'd love not to say this, if the show goes beyond a Season 6 WITHOUT Kate Walsh, I won't stick with it. Addison IS Private Practice to me. I would love to see her pop up on Grey's every now and then, though. I love watching her interact with everyone there.

  23. I had heard this next season was only going to be 13 eps anyway.

  24. Well, without Kate this show wouldn't be good but yeah the ratings are going down and there is only going to be 13 episodes so it better be the last season. Honestly, i'm not sad about this because the writing has become bad and after two major actors leave there is no way that this show will continue past season 6..

  25. if that the case make it the last because i wont wacht private practice again

  26. I am a huge fan of Kate Walsh and I obviously stared watching Private Practice because of her (/Addison). But I gotta say that her storylines are lame lately. I am getting really tired of the whole Sam/Jake/Addison thing. I mainly watch Private Practice because of everything Charlotte/Cooper related (and to see Kate Walsh, but not her storylines, if you get what I mean), so yeah, I would still watch if they would go on without her.

But I think this will be the last season. When they anounced that PP was only going to have 13 episodes, I assumed that it's going to be their last season and that they're going to end it in a proper way.

  27. definately will have to be final season, unfortunately i don't think cooper, charlotte and amelia will be able to carry it through.

  28. If anyone transfer's across to grey's it will be Amelia Shepherd to cover her big bro while he recover's from his hand injury.

  29.  Anything is possible,but i doubt it.

  30.  She has been so annoying the last few seasons they could randomly have her get hit by a bus and go on as if nothing happened and I'd be fine with it :-X

The least they could do is bring Pete in for 3 o4 episodes if they're only doing 13.

  31. Is there an official statement?

  32. i think amielia will be going to greys and its the end for the rest
