choose only two is not fare, very unexpected ending was hawaii five -o,sweet end fringe, little bit disturbing the mentalist, best character closure awake,..WHAT IN HELL GOING ON ENDING...bones...the began of falling or grew relationship...castle the best BROMANCE relation...house.
Hmm only two makes it difficule. Dexter had a very good finale, or at least very good parting scene, so that gets vote no 1, I voted for SPN as vote no 2 for the same reason, I liked how it ended....
BONES - There first official 'Cliffhanger' ending, so this one was indeed special!
CASTLE - Another great clifhanger and game changer episode, Castle and Kate hookup, more meystery surround her mother based on the conversation between Kate's assassin and Castle's contact.
FRINGE - An excellent finale which could have served as a series finale, featuring great performances by both John Noble (as usual) and Lenord Nimoy! Plus thefurther setup to Season 5 that we saw in ''Letters of Transit''.
NIKITA - Another excellent combination of both season/series finale meterial, Percy's byeond epic fall back into the cell he spent a better part of half a season in. Nikita and co in charge of Division, Amanda still on the run and planning something big.
PERSON OF INTEREST - EPIC, simply epic! Losts of stuff revealed in this episode starting with Carter and Fusco finally learning that they are both working for Reese and Finch, the reveal of the hacker codenamed 'Root' in 'Root Cause'
SUPERNATURAL - The end to the 'Big Bad' of the season, as with every other season. But the twist in the last few seconds with Dean and a back to normal Cas stuck in Purgatory sets up Season 8 very nicely and was apparently a re-write requested by new the showrunner.
ONCE UPON A TIME - A game changing season finale, Gold brings magic back to Storybrooke, Emma is now a believer and has broken the cures. Another great setup for what should be a VERY interesting second season.
TERRA NOVA - After a few so-so episodes in the middle of the series things heated up in what was an epic series finale and the discover of the ship part made what could of been a very interesting second season had FOX shown some balls like they did with Fringe and renewed it, I mean it was their only new show of the season NOT to ever fall below 2 million in the 18-19 demographic, should've count for something!
THE WALKING DEAD - I saved this one for last as it was, and always will be the BEST FUCKING FINALE THIS YEAR! After what was a lackluster second half the finale made it well worth the wait, the farm defense leading to its inevitable destruction, Andrea's gone all MIA on them, the deaths of both Dale and Shane. And, lastly, the reveal of the prison setting up Season 3!
The Vampire Diaries: Vampire Elena! Do I need to say more. Once Upon a Time: Magic is back and Emma believes. Next Season is going to be awesome.
Honorable mentions Revenge: Just shocking. Supernatural: Dean is stuck somewhere again. It sure will be interesting to see how he'll come out of this mess. Grey's Anatomy: I'm just curious about the reactions of the people who weren't in the plane. Nikita: It was awesome. Nikita, head of the Division. And I get the feeling we'll find out who her father is very soon...
Obviously I don't watch all the shows in the poll so I can't comment on them...
As much as I love Castle, it was a terribly underwhelming finale. Castle & Beckett get together finally, but they played it out for so long it was anti-climactic, and they have her lose her job?? Just sooo weak. Best finale so far this year, Revenge. I actually would put Castle 14th out of the 16 finales I can think of that I have seen in the 2011/12 season, Only ones that were worse Hawaii Five-O & Homeland. The top 5 of 2011/12 IMO Revenge Burn Notice Person Of Interest House How I Met Your Mother
honorable mentions - Community, The Big Bang Theory, Fringe, The Walking Dead, Once Upon A Time & Supernatural
Well, well,no question about it,Castle wins (always is going to be always lol special),and then Bones, this season finale leave me really excited for the next season.
-The Vampire Diaries finale was amazing! I can't believe Elena is going to be a vampire & also I loved the twist with Klaus taking over Tyler! -Revenge finale was so good! I can't believe that Victoria & Charlotte are dead & that Emily's mom is alive! Also Amanda is back and is pregnant-did not see that coming.
-Once Upon A Time: So happy that Emma finally believes & interesting how she was the key to break the curse b/c her mom & dad were used to make love potion that was spilled on the paper for curse. Also I love the ending with everyone remembering they were fairytale characters & magic coming back to Storybrooke.
-Other finales I enjoyed were: Glee, Supernatural & The Secret Circle.
Results here surprise me. I thought the Castle finale was the weakest one they've ever had. Perhaps it is winning because Castle and Beckett finally got together in the last 30 seconds.
Out of this list I HAVE to go with Revenge and OUAT.
Mentalist finale was decent, but there was something lacking and nothing really progressed.
Vampire Diaries finale was an utter trainwreck of stuff stuffed way too late(most of flashbacks gave us nothing new in terms of characterizations and should have happened way back in S1) with predictable "cliffhangers' (Elena's turning should have happened in end of S1, not this late when everyone hates her mary sue personality).A mediocre trainwreck conclusion to mediocre trainwreck season of Heroes Season Three levels of fail.
OUAT on other hand had an EMMY-worthy fianel performances and did not fear to actually do a finale that ACTUALLY changes EVERYTHING in the show. It was a flawless awesome rollercoaster ride.
Revenge finale was an intense, well-acted, interesting taste of things to come. I can only hope Emily remains on her revenge path as there are so many new possibilities and targets.
went with vampire diaires and supernatural although i wish i could have gone with fringe as well. IMO, vampire diaries had the strongest and most action packed finale of the three and thats what i love about finale, when everything is going on and its really intense and i'm shocked and happy and sad and feeling every emotion and thats how vampire diaries made me feel. on the other hand, both the fringe and supernatural finales were alot weaker than what those shows normally give us, even though i loved both of them. i ended up going with supernatural, the main reason being the cliffhanger. supernatural's just left me in absolute shock and anticipation of next season while we already knew both of fringe's so it was that exciting.
Dexter -Despite the season was more psychological and perhaps aesthetic, I really enjoyed the season and thought the build up to the finale was good one, as it really tied the family aspect of Dexter in a lot of ways to it's season 1 roots....
Person of Interest - Every episode was spectacular. It kept the great character depth of Bad Robot in tact, but also gave great great twisty-political drive like the Nolan Bros. Batman films. Best of both worlds.
Once Upon A Time: Once set out to do what a season finale should do, as the former LOST writers continue to pay great homage to their former production company, and beautifully built up to what was presented in the Pilot and came back full circle, but also left a few good interesting loose ends. It's a fun show, with interesting possibilities, since with 'magic' anything can happen!
Honorable Mentions:
Awake - Last night's episode was so interesting, I am truly disappointed that this gem won't be coming back. It plays with identity and reality in the best sort of way. It had nice production quality and good writing!
Boardwalk Empire: I still say Jimmy's not dead, but I may have to hold my breath a while...I thought there was this really interesting build up to Nucky and Jimmy's relationship in understanding whom Jimmy really was that IMO didn't match Nucky's alleged actions. But I thought the acting was great and how all the tables had started to turn once again.
Alcatraz: I think it had an interesting ending, but I wish Fox would have either picked up for fall instead of midseason and/or given them a full 22 episode order. I loved the series and where it was going. I just think 13 episodes was like an introduction to what might have been a really good series, especially when I read the format was going to be less procedural for the second season. Bad Robot always puts together interesting and appealing cast. I am sad to see it go, especially Sam Neill. I am hopeful that maybe Garcia and Jones could eventually turn up elsewhere.
True Blood: Most people were not found of the necromancy-ghost body snatching aspect that Alan Ball took upon season 4, but I highly enjoyed it, especially since I was reading a different C.H. series that deals with the ghostly-dead aspect of the supernatural. I thought Marnie was an interesting villain and I liked what the witch craft can add to series.I like how some of the relationships had broken down and left the characters in really vulnerable places. I think it will make season 5 that much better. Season 4 served as a nice bridge.
Fringe: With out knowing if a season 5 would come, I can appreciate the season 4 finale's subtle ending, but for the series as whole, in conjunction to the season 4 arc, I found the finale inconclusive and a lack of meaning. The last few episodes changed in a way where the science wasn't being explained and their wasn't a lot of inter mirroring story arcs. On one hand the irraticness of that could be intentional to the build up, or they just didn't have enough time. In any case I think it's not fair to harshly judge the finale, and the bigger problem I think is that we were introduced to a beautifuly produced-wider-scoped 'future' episode (Letter of Transit) that made us really anxious to find out how these current events relate and/or lead to that and the finale really left us in the dark, with the exception of Jessica Holt and the past, present, and future existences of the Observers themselves in time. I think whatever we don't understand about the season and how this relates to the series as a whole can be remedied in it's remaining episodes. I can't wait for season 5.
Castle was the best of all! Four years leading up to this point made it even more electric! Sorry, but no other show can top this! The emotions solicited in this season finale were like a roller coaster ride on the best coaster ever...scared to death, racing, ups, downs, spins around corners..into the dark - into the light..laughing, sighing, crying -.it took one's breath away!
Strangely enough while SPN finale was good, it wasn't at the top for me this season, and Fringe, while it had plenty of good character moments and it had that Fringe polish on everything, it pretty much glossed over the themes and issues of the season all to make a pseudo series finale that put characters where the writers wanted them to be. So It wasn't all that great.
The ones so far that have really got me was first Person of Interest. Fantastic, twisty, smart finale! Then actually with TVD getting so soapy about "who will Elena choose" I almost tuned out, but the finale was crazy. I had read that at some point in the books she was turned into a vamp but I didn't expect it would happen so soon in the series. The flashbacks and the Klaus twist was great as well.
TWD-what an amazing finale, bloddy, action packed, devestating.
SPN-looking forwards to seeing how Sam gets Dean out of Purgatory, the finale wasnt great imo but the potential for next season is huge. The writers have the chance to rewrite the storyline from back when Dean went to hell, with Sam this time pulling of the big save and kicking ass all along the way. Bring it on.
I'm glad there is not NCIs LA because I wouldn't have been able to choose (T.T). So I've voted for NCIS of course!! and Supernatural! (of course too! XD)
Fringe and OUAT for me, but Grey's was great too (altough it only made me cry and reminded me of LOST ). Also Criminal Minds and NCIS had an interesting finales, IMO, and Supernatural was fun.
#1 The Castle ending I thought was great, we've been waiting 4 seasons for that to happen and i'm excited to see where it will go from there. #2 The Nikita ending with her taking over division and killing Percy was great as well and another that i'm excited to see where it goes from there. I have others but those 2 are my favorite's...
The ending I was disappointed with was Bones. I just cannot picture the Bones we all know and love running from a problem like that. She's always so logical about things and that just didn't seem logical to me and I hope there's a quick resolution when the new season starts.
I voted Grey's Anatomy (yes I loved it) and Once Upon A Time. I liked also Fringe, TVD and The Mentalist season finales but it wasn't so great, may be because I expected too much. And I haven't seen Breaking Bad season finale yet, so I can't vote for this great show! Where are Justified, Community and Smash? Anyway I already know what season finale will be the best of the year for me and it will be GoT season finale!
Supernatural's coming in second!! Yay. :) I'm thinking Castiel's turning more chicken-shit... he just left Dean alone!! (Sorry, if it's a spoiler... not really though.)
Castle for sure as my number 1, then probably Nikita as both finales "changed the game" for all episodes to follow. Honorable mentions for OUaT (another game changer), and Fringe.
OK ... I give. I watched Person of Interest and for the life of me I can't remember what happened in the finale or a cliffhanger. So what did I forget already that was so great?
I liked they started to right some wrongs that was the season of Gossipgirl but I have to say Revenge was by far my favorite. I also enjoyed the Once Upon a Time one but Revenge just blew me away.
Sons of Anarchy has been the best show this year and the past 3 too. The Walking Dead is 2nd. And way to ignore comedy shows in this poll. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be number 1 in that case.
Chuck, Walking Dead and OUAT for the tv shows I watched. Those have to be my top 3. I know not everyone loved the ending to Chuck, but I thought it was perfect.
Walking Dead was great - but I'm not sure if that's me knowing what's next to some extent as a reader of the comments. The last shot made it for me.
Loved OUAT - it wasn't perfect, but it was one of the best for sure.
I agree with nearly everything you said. But for The Walking Dead, you're saying the second half of the season was lackluster? I'm curious because you're the first person I've run into that says the 2nd half was lackluster. But to each their own.
actually i really liked the finale.. it reminded me a lot of season 1.. which now made me to want to rewatch the whole series.. >.< and its 10x better than season 4.. the whole season was off!
Why? It was refreshing that Bones finally had a finale that was an actual cliffhanger rather than just a few unanswered questions. The only real issue I have with the killer so far goes back to his first appearance where he carved a fractal on a bone.
True but the only thing the Castle finale had was Castle and Beckett getting together. Since some fans like me don't care one way or the other about that aspect, you would expect there to be a decent plot to go with it. Instead we got no forward movement at all. It was frustrating since Castle finales are usually very good. As it were, it seems like people really like this episode because the last 32 seconds were what they wanted to see. Too bad the other 41 minutes were utterly forgettable. In all honesty, I barely remember the plot this season but I can clearly recall how we ended last season. That's sad for a finale.
I voted for Nikita, as well, and think it's time all those who voted for Gossip Girl come out of the woodwork and explain their reasons. I'm actually genuinely curious if people actually enjoyed that mess, or if it's purely Chair shippers' collective vote of relief that the Dair nightmare is over.
I also agree that Supernatural and Fringe finales were surprisingly weak. They were both far too pokey at getting to the point. It seemed like they both needed an extra episode so they could set up the action in one and then actually do it in the other. I give the nudge also to SPN but only because of the ending like you said. SPN has changed the game so to speak for next season. Fringe felt like it could have been a series final if not for the last couple of sentences.
Even though u can vote for 2 and I like loooads of those shows I still voted solely for supernatural :D not sure how we are losing to castle though lol always hated it!!
Gossip Girl and TVD voting is more about fangirl syndrome than stupidity. Some people just are so into their favorite(male) actors or ships that they turn the blind eye for every and every bit of BAD writing in the show, fangirling over it as it gets worse than Heroes ever got(not to mention that TVD also attracts Twilight fanbase).
Its just generall tendencies of how fangirls work. For an army of gleeful chipper teenagers who love them some twilight drama, it does not matter that Gossip Girl and TVD should not even be airing anymore or that the finales they are voting for have been horribly bad.
Just in case you don't know why the people that voted for Gossip Girl (I liken it to people who actually waste votes on a third party candidate in a presidential election personally) it's because the hardcore fandom that are the shippers of Chair got their wish for the end of Dair and set up Chair + Jack Bass (and honestly who doesn't love Desmond Harrington) teaming up to take down Bart Bass. The whole season was a giant waste and I write better fan fic in my sleep but to each their own and remember opinions are just like a--holes, everyone has one and most of them are pretty sh---y.
It's because a lot more GG fans vote on these kind of things. Obviously Awake's finale was excellent and GG was utter crap. But hey look Awake got 48 votes and GG 632
Let's all hope that is Jeremy Carver's actual intentions because that would really make me super happy. I need my old Sammy back but more importantly I need a good solid foundation for Team Winchester. I'm not sure that I want the Angels and Demons story back but if they can put a different slant on it, then maybe.
I am actually surprised it took them this long to turn Elena into a vampire. In the books it happens on like page 200 of the first book (but spoiler alert: she turns back into a human and stupidity ensues).
Oh dear. lol I thought that they would hold off on that for as long as possible since everyone on this show is either being killed off or turning into a vampire.
Bravo! Watching any episode of POI was like watching a mini movie .. only better than movies and I thought how could season finale top it's previous episodes ... boy oh boy .. was I so wrong!
Person of Interest - Season finale "Firewall" took my breath away! Awesome plot, music, acting.....Congratz to POI cast/staff for the best TV show on earth!
I could have placed Justified and Hell on Wheels in my list too.... and Game of Thrones' finale looms on the horizon most likely will be in my top 10.
Alcatraz, Blue Bloods, and Person of Interest were in the next group so there were a few decent network finales for me. Just none so far have rocked me. The cable series all had stellar finales to me this season.... but yes I prefer cable series overall I guess. XD
Person of Intrest and SPN. I wasn't sure POI would make it,how could they keep it interesting?? Wow, I am loving it, and the final was great!!! SPN, always my favorite and leaving Dean and Sam alone!!Can't wait for next year.
I know right, probably has a lot of clueless teens voting for it for some reason. If I wanted to watch a soap series, I'd watch one of the daytime shows (which I don't, for obvious reasons)
Best one for me was Vampire Diaries! So many twists and turns! Second and third are Chuck and Castle. Fringe was ok and Supernatural was very disappointing and of poor quality!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
CASKETT!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time and Person of Interest
ReplyDeletechoose only two is not fare, very unexpected ending was hawaii five -o,sweet end fringe, little bit disturbing the mentalist, best character closure awake,..WHAT IN HELL GOING ON ENDING...bones...the began of falling or grew relationship...castle the best BROMANCE relation...house.

ReplyDeleteCastle and The Mentalist for me! although Desperate Housewives and House were pretty great too!! :D
ReplyDeleteThe Secret Circle for sure! It was just so good!
ReplyDeleteDH, GA, Revenge & OUAT
ReplyDeleteHmm only two makes it difficule. Dexter had a very good finale, or at least very good parting scene, so that gets vote no 1, I voted for SPN as vote no 2 for the same reason, I liked how it ended....
ReplyDeleteTough choice though.
Only two? I have more!
ReplyDeleteCastle, Grey's Anatomy, OUAT, Modern Family, SPN, Criminal Minds, HIMYM, and NCIS are my favorites.
CASKETT
ReplyDeleteI voted The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy. Can´t wait to see Jax at the head of the table.
ReplyDeleteOne Tree Hill and NCIS!
ReplyDeleteNIKITA!
ReplyDeleteCastle!!! by far!!
ReplyDeleteVoted Walking Dead for a kick-ass, action-packed zombie armageddon and Fringe for nicely tying up a lot of the loose ends from the past few seasons.
ReplyDeleteIn order:
ReplyDeleteBONES - There first official 'Cliffhanger' ending, so this one was indeed special!

ReplyDeleteThe Vampire Diaries: Vampire Elena! Do I need to say more.
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time: Magic is back and Emma believes. Next Season is going to be awesome.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Castle, it was a terribly underwhelming finale. Castle & Beckett get together finally, but they played it out for so long it was anti-climactic, and they have her lose her job?? Just sooo weak.
ReplyDeleteBest finale so far this year, Revenge. I actually would put Castle 14th out of the 16 finales I can think of that I have seen in the 2011/12 season, Only ones that were worse Hawaii Five-O & Homeland. The top 5 of 2011/12 IMO

ReplyDeleteFringe and Person Of Interest.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural ! I can't wait to see what happen next
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that my criterion was not "best", but my favorites, hence Chuck and Castle.

ReplyDeleteSupernatural all the wayyy.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural!!!
ReplyDeleteCastle and then, Fringe
ReplyDeleteCastle, honorary mention to House for finishing the series in an appropiate way.
ReplyDeleteSince I could only vote for two, I chose Revenge and The Secret Circle. My third option would've been Once Upon A Time.

ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time and Ringer.
ReplyDeleteThe Secret Circle and Revenge!
ReplyDeleteCastle and COMMUNITY!!!! Can't believe you don't put Community on the main list! :S
ReplyDeleteDexter (Deb found out) and Supernatural
ReplyDeleteSame here^^; I'm having a hard time remember what the cliffhanger was actually and it was only 3 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteNothing deserves to be compared with Castle. It was amazing!
ReplyDeleteCommunity, TWD, Mentalist
ReplyDeletebest NCIS, CM and Grey's
ReplyDeleteSupernatural ! <3
ReplyDeleteStrangely enough while SPN finale was good, it wasn't at the top for me this season, and Fringe, while it had plenty of good character moments and it had that Fringe polish on everything, it pretty much glossed over the themes and issues of the season all to make a pseudo series finale that put characters where the writers wanted them to be. So It wasn't all that great.
ReplyDeleteThe ones so far that have really got me was first Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteSPN-looking forwards to seeing how Sam gets Dean out of Purgatory, the finale wasnt great imo but the potential for next season is huge.
XD)
ReplyDeleteCastle, no question
ReplyDeleteHawaii Five-0 was such an action ride. And when you finally could breathe again they really started with the cliffhangers. Just brilliant.
ReplyDeleteNCIS - Ducky! Is there even more to say?
Fringe and Nikita. The Gossip Girl finale shouldn't be anywhere near a best of anything list tbh.
ReplyDeleteFringe and OUAT for me, but Grey's was great too (altough it only made me cry and reminded me of LOST ). Also Criminal Minds and NCIS had an interesting finales, IMO, and Supernatural was fun.
ReplyDeleteMost finales I've seen this year have been fairly bad honestly... quite disappointing!
ReplyDeleteFringe, Nikita, Ringer, Revenge and The Vampire Diaries were all mediocre if I'm feeling kind...
Alcatraz had one of its better episodes so it may make the list, but....
1. The Walking Dead.
2. Boardwalk Empire
3. Sons of Anarchy
I voted for Grey's and The Walking Dead
ReplyDeleteOUaT and Castle came in 3th and 4th place :) but you can only vote for two
Desperate housewives was great too
Castle and Once Upon a Time
ReplyDelete2ndly is Supernatural, vampire diaries, and person of interest.
#1 The Castle ending I thought was great, we've been waiting 4 seasons for that to happen and i'm excited to see where it will go from there.
ReplyDelete#2 The Nikita ending with her taking over division and killing Percy was great as well and another that i'm excited to see where it goes from there.
I have others but those 2 are my favorite's...
The ending I was disappointed with was Bones. I just cannot picture the Bones we all know and love running from a problem like that. She's always so logical about things and that just didn't seem logical to me and I hope there's a quick resolution when the new season starts.
My Top 5:
ReplyDelete1 - Person of Interest (wow)
2 - Desperate Housewives (amazing series finale)
3 - The Big Bang Theory
4 - Grey's Anatomy
5 - The Vampire Diaries
Supernatural and Person of Interest
ReplyDeleteCastle (CASKETT!!!!!) and OUAT! :D
ReplyDeletePOI - what a spectacular season finale!
ReplyDeleteBest: Once Upon A Time and House
ReplyDeleteDisappointing: The Good Wife (Although i love this show, the season finale feels like a regular episode), and Ringer.
Also in my opinion the S3 of TGW wasn't very good. I really hope that they improve in S4
Castle !!! <3
ReplyDeleteChuck (yes I loved it) and Justified (not sure why it wasn't listed)
ReplyDeleteCastle Of course! what an ending!
ReplyDeleteOUAT and Smash <3
ReplyDeleteCastle, what else!
ReplyDeletevampire diaries and castle!!
ReplyDeleteI voted Grey's Anatomy (yes I loved it) and Once Upon A Time.
ReplyDeleteI liked also Fringe, TVD and The Mentalist season finales but it wasn't so great, may be because I expected too much.
And I haven't seen Breaking Bad season finale yet, so I can't vote for this great show!
Where are Justified, Community and Smash?
Anyway I already know what season finale will be the best of the year for me and it will be GoT season finale!
castle,supernatural,the mentalist,the vampire diaries,dexter,bones,fringe,one tree hill,chuck,ringer,sicret circle,house
ReplyDeleteI'm baffled as to why GA is so high?
ReplyDeleteNikita and Hawaii Five-0.
ReplyDeleteAs for SPN, I'm officially done with this show. Only one good episode the entire Season isn't going to cut it for me.
Supernatural's coming in second!! Yay. :) I'm thinking Castiel's turning more chicken-shit... he just left Dean alone!! (Sorry, if it's a spoiler... not really though.)
ReplyDeleteCastiels deep voice came back and he could have left to help Dean ...
DeleteSupernatural and Person Of Interest
ReplyDeleteReally? I loved TGW all season long. Although I wanted more Kalinda with a gun at the end of the episode...
ReplyDeleteThere was only one good episode the entire season?
ReplyDeleteWhich one was it?
On this list I went with House and Person of Interest. Close runner ups were Awake, Chuck, and Walking Dead.
ReplyDeleteBut where is Community on this list? The 3-part finale night was all kinds of awesome!
Ringer, The Secret Circle, Fringe, Nikita and Person of Interest.
ReplyDeleteCastle for sure as my number 1, then probably Nikita as both finales "changed the game" for all episodes to follow. Honorable mentions for OUaT (another game changer), and Fringe.
ReplyDeleteI am more surprised that kitschy stuff like Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl are so high. I guess fangirls gotta fangirl.
ReplyDeleteOK ... I give. I watched Person of Interest and for the life of me I can't remember what happened in the finale or a cliffhanger. So what did I forget already that was so great?
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time and Person of Interest.. The best new shows on television for sure !
ReplyDeleteFrom which I saw,Once Upon A Time.
ReplyDeleteHart of Dixie!
ReplyDeleteCASKETT FTW ! ahahah ! loved it !!!
ReplyDeleteChuck and The Walking Dead for me! :)
ReplyDeleteSCANDAL!!!
ReplyDeleteCASTLE! :)
ReplyDeleteI liked they started to right some wrongs that was the season of Gossipgirl but I have to say Revenge was by far my favorite. I also enjoyed the Once Upon a Time one but Revenge just blew me away.
ReplyDeleteThe question was 'best season finale' not 'best cliffhanger'.
ReplyDeleteI didnt like many SPN episodes this season myself, which was you one good episode just out of interest?
ReplyDeleteSons of Anarchy has been the best show this year and the past 3 too. The Walking Dead is 2nd. And way to ignore comedy shows in this poll. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be number 1 in that case.
ReplyDeleteI always support Supernatural, but the finale was a huge letdown
ReplyDeleteCommunity and The Walking Dead were my favorites of the season.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't Scandal on the list?
ReplyDeleteOther - Leave Comment Scandal
Because we can only have so many on the poll. If we included every show it would be over 100.
ReplyDeleteWell, the only other option was to let herself be arrested and go to jail. Basically, she had no choice but to run.
ReplyDeleteCastle #Always!!
ReplyDeleteFringe and H50 (and SPN if I'd had a third vote)
ReplyDeleteOther, Luck series finale was the best episode of the year so far.
ReplyDeleteMost finales were disappointing this season but Justified and Person of Interest had really great season-enders.
ReplyDeleteFringe: P/O enough said... :)
ReplyDelete61 people are stupid for voting Glee as the best finale. You must be a season or two behind.
ReplyDeleteChuck, Walking Dead and OUAT for the tv shows I watched. Those have to be my top 3. I know not everyone loved the ending to Chuck, but I thought it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteWalking Dead was great - but I'm not sure if that's me knowing what's next to some extent as a reader of the comments. The last shot made it for me.
Loved OUAT - it wasn't perfect, but it was one of the best for sure.
Fringe and Castle... and House, HIMYM, ...
ReplyDeleteI think people are out of their minds for voting for the Gossip Girl finale but I'm not prepared to call them stupid over a difference of opinion.
ReplyDeleteAgreed - Chuck deserves more respect for the story they told in their finale.
ReplyDeleteI know and?^^; Cliffhanger are very importants in finale
ReplyDeleteAnd when a finale is so-so,a good cliff can help a lot, but I didn't care much about Caskett, so with no cliff it was really ''meh'' finale
Of course The Vampire Diaries, but The Secret Circle was very good too, but it was the series finale too.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Awake and House because they were also SERIES finales and as such were very good on all accounts (episode, season finaly, series finale).
ReplyDeleteBut I'd also say Chuck, Castle and SPN had also very strong outings this year.
I agree with nearly everything you said. But for The Walking Dead, you're saying the second half of the season was lackluster? I'm curious because you're the first person I've run into that says the 2nd half was lackluster. But to each their own.
ReplyDeleteactually i really liked the finale.. it reminded me a lot of season 1.. which now made me to want to rewatch the whole series.. >.< and its 10x better than season 4.. the whole season was off!
ReplyDeleteCan we vote for the worst finale? hahah
ReplyDeleteSUPERNATURAL !!!
ReplyDeleteCastle, Scandal, Revenge! Caskett 4ever though, that speech Alexis gave just wow!
ReplyDeleteWhy? It was refreshing that Bones finally had a finale that was an actual cliffhanger rather than just a few unanswered questions. The only real issue I have with the killer so far goes back to his first appearance where he carved a fractal on a bone.
ReplyDeleteTrue but the only thing the Castle finale had was Castle and Beckett getting together.
ReplyDeleteI voted for Nikita, as well, and think it's time all those who voted for Gossip Girl come out of the woodwork and explain their reasons. I'm actually genuinely curious if people actually enjoyed that mess, or if it's purely Chair shippers' collective vote of relief that the Dair nightmare is over.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that Supernatural and Fringe finales were surprisingly weak.
ReplyDeleteIt was a poor finale season compared to last year. Only one that stuck out in a clearly positive way was HIMYM.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural & Vampire Diaries (:
ReplyDeleteRevenge HANDS DOWN.
ReplyDeleteHouse finale was the best imo. I think it was a perfect ending to this story, because it left me strangely at peace with the fact that it over.
ReplyDeleteEven though u can vote for 2 and I like loooads of those shows I still voted solely for supernatural :D not sure how we are losing to castle though lol always hated it!!
ReplyDeleteI was so disappointed with the series finale of AWAKE! What a cop out! A dream? Really! So much potential, such a let down!
ReplyDeleteThe secret circle was da best
ReplyDeleteRevenge
ReplyDeleteTwo!?!?!? TWO!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteyou guys are cruel.
Hawaii Five-0, Person of Interest floated to the top....
ReplyDeleteNikita, Revenge, Ringer, The River, Fringe, Criminal Minds
Gossip Girl and TVD voting is more about fangirl syndrome than stupidity. Some people just are so into their favorite(male) actors or ships that they turn the blind eye for every and every bit of BAD writing in the show, fangirling over it as it gets worse than Heroes ever got(not to mention that TVD also attracts Twilight fanbase).
ReplyDeleteIts just generall tendencies of how fangirls work. For an army of gleeful chipper teenagers who love them some twilight drama, it does not matter that Gossip Girl and TVD should not even be airing anymore or that the finales they are voting for have been horribly bad.
Sorry, TVD, Gossip Girl, SN far outrank Bones at being worst finale.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought most of the season finales were quite weak this year, compared to last year.
ReplyDeletegossip girl came third?are you kidding me?this season sucked BIG time!
ReplyDeletePretty Little Liars!
ReplyDeleteJust in case you don't know why the people that voted for Gossip Girl (I liken it to people who actually waste votes on a third party candidate in a presidential election personally) it's because the hardcore fandom that are the shippers of Chair got their wish for the end of Dair and set up Chair + Jack Bass (and honestly who doesn't love Desmond Harrington) teaming up to take down Bart Bass. The whole season was a giant waste and I write better fan fic in my sleep but to each their own and remember opinions are just like a--holes, everyone has one and most of them are pretty sh---y.
ReplyDeleteIt's because a lot more GG fans vote on these kind of things. Obviously Awake's finale was excellent and GG was utter crap. But hey look Awake got 48 votes and GG 632
ReplyDeleteI think the season finale of Scandal was brilliant! And it's my second choice for the poll...after Castle!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, interesting trend you have going there, all cable shows, I see
ReplyDeleteHouse and Once Upon A Time
ReplyDeleteLet's all hope that is Jeremy Carver's actual intentions because that would really make me super happy. I need my old Sammy back but more importantly I need a good solid foundation for Team Winchester. I'm not sure that I want the Angels and Demons story back but if they can put a different slant on it, then maybe.
ReplyDeleteI am actually surprised it took them this long to turn Elena into a vampire. In the books it happens on like page 200 of the first book (but spoiler alert: she turns back into a human and stupidity ensues).
ReplyDeleteHomeland
ReplyDeleteSupernatural obviously... !!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear. lol I thought that they would hold off on that for as long as possible since everyone on this show is either being killed off or turning into a vampire.
ReplyDeleteExactly. And what is so exciting in Castle?
ReplyDeletedamn.....
ReplyDeleteBones had a cliffhanger, one of their best cliffhangers, did we actually watch the same finale??There were lousy finales but this wasn't one of them..
ReplyDeleteAnd really, that wasn't the question..
Bravo! Watching any episode of POI was like watching a mini movie .. only better than movies and I thought how could season finale top it's previous episodes ... boy oh boy .. was I so wrong!
ReplyDelete"Firewall" took my breath away!
Person of Interest - Season finale "Firewall" took my breath away! Awesome plot, music, acting.....Congratz to POI cast/staff for the best TV show on earth!
ReplyDeleteWhat?? The GG's season finale was good? I hated it! My favorite was Revenge finale, it was epic!
ReplyDeleteCastle!! There is non other that can compare...BEST SEASON FINALE EVER!!
ReplyDeleteSupernatural and Hawaii Five-0, most definitely. Cannot wait until the new season gets here to find out what happens next!
ReplyDeleteCaskett ♥_______________________♥ O casal mais lindo da TV!!!!
ReplyDeletecastle of course
ReplyDeleteHawaii Five-0!!! Nonstop action and great reveals and cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteBest ones for me: SPN, Once Upon a Time, HIMYM and Person of interest, but there were a lot of great ones too, like Revenge or Castle...;)
ReplyDeleteI could have placed Justified and Hell on Wheels in my list too.... and Game of Thrones' finale looms on the horizon most likely will be in my top 10.
ReplyDeleteAlcatraz, Blue Bloods, and Person of Interest were in the next group so there were a few decent network finales for me. Just none so far have rocked me. The cable series all had stellar finales to me this season.... but yes I prefer cable series overall I guess. XD
I thought the best season finales were from Fringe and The Walking Dead.
ReplyDelete"hahah"
ReplyDeleteAre you just trolling?
Hawaii Five-0!
ReplyDeleteCan't really answer that one. It's one of those shows that I never got into when it began.
ReplyDeletePerson of Intrest and SPN. I wasn't sure POI would make it,how could they keep it interesting?? Wow, I am loving it, and the final was great!!! SPN, always my favorite and leaving Dean and Sam alone!!Can't wait for next year.
ReplyDeletelol at GG in #3 by now XD it was the worst finale ever XD nothing made sense!
ReplyDeleteI know right, probably has a lot of clueless teens voting for it for some reason. If I wanted to watch a soap series, I'd watch one of the daytime shows (which I don't, for obvious reasons)
ReplyDeleteHawaii 50 had the best season final :)
ReplyDeleteBest one for me was Vampire Diaries! So many twists and turns! Second and third are Chuck and Castle. Fringe was ok and Supernatural was very disappointing and of poor quality!
ReplyDeleteCommunity and Supernatural
ReplyDeleteCastle, Fringe and OUAT :D
ReplyDeleteThe finales for Scandal and Once Upon a Time were my favorites.
ReplyDeleteCASKETT and Once Upon A Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete
