I hope Klaus makes an epic return in season 4. I love him too much to see him gone forever. He is just asleep for a long time right just like Mikael was. I cried like crazy haha
geez wasnt that the point of the season to kill klaus after all the destruction and evil he's caused. U r truly not a fan or good enjoyer of television if u r watching a show with the good guys trying to kill the bad guys and u dont like that. Thats the point and im glad they killed him off he was a good 2 season villain now its time to move on. If he returns one day i'll be fine with that but u cant stay on one villain to long.
I dont really understand that whole sleep thing. Yes they wanted to trap Alaric (which ended up happening to Klaus) like Mikael but Katherine was just able to wake him up by giving him blood and waiting a couple of days. Although they are dropping him down the altantic so thats pretty much impossible for him to ever come back....at least for a couple of century's.
I disagree. Klaus may have been the bad guy, but I liked him better then Stefan and Damon. At least he wasn't drooling all over Elena and went after a more intelligent woman who wasn't using the men around her. I don't like Elena. I do like Klaus, bad or not
- This week on inconsistency diaries! - two vampires who are not even remotely old can now overpower an Original! - Talking about originals, seriously, the show could not mess up more even if it tried to. Its hilarious that Plec calls them "villains" because they are just a vampire family of big crybaby woobies....What is so threatening about them? - Entire episode was filled with pointless Elena. And by pointless I mean REALLY pointless. What was her role? OH right, according to show her role was to be the most important person who is always right. - So the show expects me to believe that while getting slapped accross room by vampires and originals alike for 3 seasons did nothing to her, a little bump in the head caused her internal bleeding? Well this makes the finale even more obvious and predictable. You know, this plotline would be so EXCITING if Elena was a character. Considering she is a non-entity and has been pretty much TVD's version of Bella Swan for 65 episodes already...sorry, not caring on whatever happens to her and I doubt writers expected me to clap my hands and cheer for miss perfect darbord gettin hurt. - Really there's nothing relatable about her. And even turning her at this point would give no emotional reaction from the viewers at all. Why? Because its too little too late first of all, since we had dozens of character turnings already so there's no shock effect. Second of all, as mentioned before, Elena is non-relatable "character" with value and personality that of a piece of furniture.
I liked this episode but, you make some good points. I'm on the fence with Elena. I sometimes can tolerate her but other time I just want her to leave.
I was in that position last season, getting continuously frustrated at her NOT reacting to well...anything she should have reacted to. The horrible mess that was Sacrifice storyline finaly pushed me over the edge into outright despising every second of her screentime.
- There's nothing relatable about Elena - For soemone who is supposedly "the protagonist", she has no link, no connection to the audience.
- There's nothing flawed about Elena - Show keeps treating her as some sort of incarnation of perfection, reason and caring. She is the most one-dimensional character in the whole cast. Even moreso than Rose was.
- There's nothing INTERESTING about Elena - First season had her parent-search plot and mistery of how she looks same as Katherine. Now there's nothing at all. - There are no REACTIONS from Elena - The girl gets kidnapped on daily basis, stalked by vampire psycho at prom, sees Vicki dead, finds out she has a doppelganger and is somes ort of magical occurrence, finds out that she will have to die, gets isobel, john, jules, jenna dead because of her stupdity, GETS KILLED and dozens of other things....and she does not even bat an eyelash at all that stuff? Where is character growth? Reactions to stuff happening around her? For 65 episodes she has been a pure sociopath incapable of any human emotion.
- There's nothing RESPONSIBLE about Elena. For every stupid mistake or actions characters just instantly forgive her. No matter what she causes, there are no consequences to ANYTHING she does.
That in a nutshell, folks, is one of the biggest problems with this show, a horribly bland problem named Elena gilbert.
Guess Alaric is definitely lost. At first, when he didn't kill Elena, I hoped that something was left of his humanity. Now we know, he is tied to Elena. He dies only, if she dies (who created the spell? Oh, wright. It was Esther. Guess, she learned her mistake with Mikael). Problem. If she could use the ring than I wouldn't worry. But it doesn't work on her. The spell that Bonnie used to bring her back after Klaus killed her is useless, cause she doesn't have any family left (except for Jeremy, but she would never risk him). What about that potion that Elijah got for Katerina and then Elena? Well the only other option would be to turn her.
Wow. Alaric has totally blown Liz and Carols secrets. The council knows. Well if I would be Liz I'd say, that, yes, they were covering for vampires. And that it were these vampires who kept the town safe for the last year. And how is Alaric actually hoping to keep the town safe? By killing the vampires that actually protected the town. Sure he helped. But humans can never fight vampires. Humans are to slow and too stupid.
I knew they were going to do that with Klaus that sucks but if the spell kept Mikael down for 15 years maybe at the end of the 4th season he will be back
I just can't tell how much I enjoyed this episode! To see someone finally kicking Klaus ass! Finally Klaus got, what he deserves!
Why is Klaus complaining about his mother trying to kill him all the time? He started it! He killed her first. Why is it everybody else's fault if his actions have consequences? Seriously. He really needs therapy.
Klaus is actually not dead, so don't be too optimistic, boys, he can come back! He is locked away in a coffin. He's asleep. Sort off. You just have to make sure, no one is gonna awake him. I fill barriers. 10 of them, not just one.
Becca is p.o, cause she missed the dance? Why is she taking it on Caroline? Is it Carolines fault, that her mother possessed her and Alaric daggered her? Well it doesn't surprise me that she left. She finally (after 1000 years) figured that Klaus doesn't give a damn about her or his "family". He never cared for everyone but himself. And he never wanted a family, he wanted slaves. Well, she'll be back. Hope, she stays. Although she and Caroline hate each other, they make a good team. They could be friends.
One day without any vampires? Good luck! So glad, that Jeremy came back. Again. I can imagine, what he thought: "Oh, shit, not again"
And Bonnie. First, she hates vampires, especially Damon, for all he did (he made mistakes, got it), she want them to stay away and she want's nothing to do with the vampires. Now she is p.o. cause he didn't feed her on vampire blood to safe her? Make up your mind girl!!! Besides: She wasn't in danger anyway. And one more think. Bonnie wanted to use her mothers spell on Alaric (can't believe, she actually came up with an idea!). Why didn't she ever considered using it on Klaus? Bitch!!! That's why I hate her!
I know the popular thing to do in TVD land is to rag on Elena, and absolutely she annoys me too sometimes, but I like her, and episodes like this remind me why. She does the typical stupid heroine thing by walking into a known trap without telling anybody - bad choice. But once there, she ends up saving Caroline and the rescue party because she's smart enough to figure out what's going on and has the cojones to do something like cut her own neck on a hunch. Say what you want, but when a non-powered chick like her takes on an uber-vamp like Alaric and ends up saving all super-powered friends' asses, right after losing her sixth parental figure in a row ... well, I can let her have another week to waffle about whether she wants Stefan or Damon.
Alaric 2.0 is SUPER creepy. Poor, poor Caroline. I still think it's amazing how much they've attempted to humanize Klaus, too - all that stuff about him being lonely and insecure. I have to admit, I didn't see that little twist coming... using the witchy connection to put Klaus in stasis (or whatever the heck it's called).
I'm glad Elena was adult about her feelings for the brothers, too. It's nice to see that she was upfront about what she was feeling, especially to their faces. I loved the scene between Damon and Stefan in the car as well - despite everything, they've really become closer... they're finally brothers in a broader sense. It doesn't just begin and end with blood anymore.
She is not. She gets no character, development, no character growth, no dilemmas. She is just...there. tied to plotlines and love triangle. But as far as writing treating her, she is no more important than that soap bowl the moonstone was "hidden" in ..
And at the same time, she displays all classic traits of a mary sue.
I do like Klaus too. But there wasn't much to do with the character... They should have built up his friendship with Stefan but that only lastet one episode. They could have give him someone who really cared for him and whom he cared for, but they never did this and it didn't quite work with Caroline, because they already wrote her a wonderful thing with Tyler.
I like the idea that he is now imprisoned like Mikael was. That's a smart move and I hope they keep them in there at least quite a bit so that they can figure out what to really do with him - without turning him into a puppy like they did with Damon - and then bring him back with a storyline that isn't all about "Klaus needs to be killed"
this episode go beyond awesome & the suppose dismays of klause mmm,is not over yet i felt that something or somebody really dark will rise & the future havoc just began.
Wow.. this episode was AWESOME!!! I can´t believe Klaus is gone .. i didn´t see that coming just now. But it was about time, he was an amazing villain and i´m kind of sad that he´s gone.. but all good things must come to an end .. although, i doubt that this was the last time we saw him. When Rebecca finds out what happend to him she sure wants to save him .. i guess he will come back somehow in season 4.. and i´m sure it will be when we at least expect it.
Poor Caroline :( why does she always has to be the one who gets tortured? i loved the scene where Klaus told her to go home so she is save .. although i´m a Forwood shipper i enjoyed to see that Klaus still cares about Caroline
i was sooo proud of tyler when he stood up against klaus, and i´m glad that tyler is back in the group now.. he finally got his friends back, it was so sweet to see them all celebrating :))
i also liked that Elena sees that she is selfish and that she was honest to Damon and Stefan .. and i´m glad the brothers talked about it .. i thought they won´t talk about it til Elena chooses and then it will destroy their relationship .. but i still don´t believe that one of them will leave town after she picks one
so what do you think happend to Elena at the end?? do you think it has something to do with Klaus or is it something like a concussion? When Tyler tried to save her and Klaus attacked him she fell down and hit her head .. and later she said she just has a little headache .. so maybe it´s nothing supernatural this time ..
I didn't think the were ever going to get off the pot and finally get rid of Klaus. Ding Dong the evil dude's finally "dead". Please keep him that way. Although, if I'm honest I don't really trust that he's not getting out of that coffin next week.
Rebekkah shows that she really is the smartest one in the family. "Invulnerable vampire hunter in town. I'm leaving."Was surprised by Alaric's visit to the council. Wonder if they'll be alive next week. :-) They certainly seemed surprised to see his vamp speed move to block the sheriff. My other big question was...did Elena go down because she's not linked to Alaric as he is to her? If he dies does she? What happened there.Pretty good ep.
I really liked the episode but I do agree with you on many points. The basic problem with declaring a villain the 'most powerful thing ever!' is that there's no credible way to have the good guys win (or be foiled.) Their ability to put me on the edge of my seat wondering how a plan was going to work out died in the episode where Mikael died. The contortion of detail required to explain that one away never worked for me. As I said in my initial reaction, I don't trust these writers not to bring Klaus back next week. {I stopped trusting these writers the way I trusted Joss Whedon's story telling.}
As for your comments about Elena. Her character was much more interesting and stronger in seasons 1 and 2. At this point I consider her as a soap opera ingenue. I have no real problem with that...I guess because it allowed me to set my expectations appropriately. But I did I actually laughed when she started training with Ric.
Bonnie's character is the character that gets my dander up. They have marginalized her character to the point where she frequently fells like a prop; basically a handgun. I really want them to, either commit to giving her a story - for a full season and not half an episode - or just get rid of the character.
Give me more Caroline.
This, for me, is a flawed show. But it's a heck of a lot of fun. I'll happily keep tuning in.
i agree lol. leaving klaus as his is is a means to an end without killing off most of the main characters with him, and it always leaves room for loopholes later in case they want to bring him back lol
Decent episode. - First off, are they kidding with this Elena medical scare thing? Unless they're going to turn her to save her, we know she's going to be okay so what's the damn point? - It was pretty damn awesome how they took down Klaus. Kudos to the writers for pulling that off. That was really friggin' cool. - I really felt sorry for Caroline. She did not deserve that. - Screw you, evil Alaric. Out of all the supernatural people in Mystic Falls, you hat to rat out the two characters that have done the least amount of harm. Hell, Caroline and Tyler have done more to help keep Mystic Falls safe than the council has. - I liked the Bonnie / Damon / Abby scene. Good stuff. - Is Caroline TOO nice? She gave her condolences to Rebekah and then saved her from Alaric. After everything Rebekah has done, I was shocked how Caroline treated her. - Damon antagonizing Klaus at the Gilbert house was funny. (and a little childish) - Tyler finally got his "screw you, Klaus" moment. It was a long time coming. - Bonnie seemed to really get off on that dark magic stuff but, like all of Bonnie's subplots, I'm sure it will go nowhere.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
ARE WE FRIGGIN SERIOUS??????KLAUS GONE??????The show's gone to hell :'(
ReplyDeleteI hope Klaus makes an epic return in season 4. I love him too much to see him gone forever. He is just asleep for a long time right just like Mikael was. I cried like crazy haha

Told you:

He will

Just hope,

So sad, Klaus is gone. Hope it's only a decoy, cause he's part wolf it doesn't stick and he comes back.
ReplyDeleteYou might've misheard. Bonnie said Damon did heal her. She asked him if he was so upset with her why he fed her his blood.

ReplyDeleteDecent episode.
