  1. I loved it! So glad Dean has a new leather jacket. And aww at him not being able able to eat his food.

And oh shit, Bobby. I hope they find him. Holy crap at the end! Crowley better not align with the Leviathans.

  2. Wow... just wow... without a doubt one of the best of the season. It had the look and feel of old time supernatural. It had the laughs, it had the monsters and it had the angst. Sam and Dean felt like Sam and Dean the brothers for a change. I even heard a few 'Sammy's' in there. And Bobby.. oy... Bobby, Bobby, Bobby.. I fear this will NOT end well.....

On to the Alpha Vamp.. MAN was he good or what? He was perfect in all aspects. I really hope they do 'See him next season'. We still don't know where the bone is going to come from.. it's been driving me nuts. But for all those fans that have ranted all year that 'Sera doesn't know how to deal with Sam and Dean, or the Leviathans.. She is just making it up as she goes..' WRONG.. She has a plan and so far I'm loving it.

10 out of 10 for me.

  3. Ok, that was just freakin' AWESOME!
I was kind of worried going in that there would be too much to pull together in the final two episodes and it wouldn't work but man I've never been happier to be proven wrong!
And I have to say Dabb & Loflin have officially redeemed themselves for Time For A Wedding.
That was just classic Supernatural from start to finish. The full on Sam and Dean teamwork we've been dying for. Some great lines. The whole thing with Dean and the rabbit food was just too funny!
Vamptyonite...another great addition to our SPN dictionary.
Nice to see Crowley back. And I'm loving the addition of the Alpha Vamp to the big bad list...now THAT'S a big bad.
Though honestly, Dick was ramping it up a bit here too. And he was almost outdone by his henchman Edgar.
The continuation of the Bobby storyline is heartbreaking. Where is this going to end? Can't be good.
And the teaser for next week promises even better. Crowley and Dick...so who's going to screw whom?
Can't wait to see where it all ends. And I loved the Alpha Vamp's little nod to next year..."See you next season!" Can't come soon enough!!
    A definite 10 out of 10.

  4. I liked it a lot. They probably could have upped the scary and action a little considering it is so near to the end of the season, but it was still very good, and it was great to see smart Sam again and both Sam and Dean in character again.

  5. I was unimpressed. There was very little tension, I thought. Rick Worthy is entertaining to watch as the Alpha Vampire, though.

  6. The episode was wonderful.  I love that Sam is being aggressive in pushing his ideas.  I felt for Dean as far as his food goes. lol   The boys were brothers again.  How can you not like that.  I like that the Alpha Vamp gave them his blood.  What I found very funny was he remark to the boys, "I'll see you next season," and Dean', "You can count on it."  If that wasn't a play on having a season 8, I don't know one. It was funny.  Crowley can be such a louse.  I wonder if he is selling them out.

  7. I thought it was a lot of fun, and it was refreshing to not be swamped by artificial angst, and weighing every word out of their mouths. It could have been less wordy and more action, but it left me happy and SPN hasn't done that in a while.

And I think even Dean recognized himself this week.

  8. "Yo momma" jokes from Edgar? Really? Still, I chuckled a bit. Anyway, the rest of the episode was pretty great. It reminded me a bit of the old days. Crowley was fantastic, as always, and seeing the Alpha Vamp back was satisfying, too. I'm super worried for Bobby, though. I can't believe he took the extra step into vengeful spirit territory by possessing that maid... they're going to have their hands full with him in the finale, I'm sure. I'm interested to see what Crowley ends up doing - he's always in it for himself, really, so it'll come down to what's best for Crowley... looking forward to the finale!

  9. Is it just me or have they packed an awful lot of info and progression into the last three eps? Not that it's a bad thing, but I have to wonder why they didn't start these reveals a few episodes before. It was a lot to process.

That being said, I really like my supernatural action packed. I liked that the Alpha Vamp was smart enough to realize Dean and Sam would not come into it just for kicks. He knew they believed what they were selling, but he had to confirm. I like the way that all played out. Of course, I didn't believe the girl at all. No one is that innocent on Supernatural. Maybe I'm just jaded. :/

Bobby is still reigning in his ghost power, but I'm not sure if even he can handle it for long. Of course, if they would just try letting him help instead of trying so hard to keep him out, he may actually be less frustrated and therefore in more control, but that wouldn't give us much drama, so I understand that this is how they must play it. Canon says ghosts go bad, but canon doesn't show it. Molly (from Roadkill) was a ghost for 15 years and she wasn't at vengeful. Of course she didn't know she was dead, but she's an example that not all ghosts go bad so fast. Still, Bobby took off and my guess is he's heading to Dick, which means he'll find Crowley. And, being a ghost, he does have the power to shatter that devils trap holding Crowley if he still has the energy after hijacking the maid, so I'm interested to see if Bobby turns out to be a help or hindrance.

The boys seemed a bit more intelligent, so thanks for that show! They were able to talk the Vamp into seeing things there way and even rescue the little boy. That was a nice touch. And it was a nice shout-out to Sheriff Mills. Glad to see they still have people they call friends.

Did the Levi's really let Kevin's mom go? What are they planning to do with him now that he's translated the word of God? Will Crowley strike a deal? I really can't see the King of Hell bowing down to Dick, but if he's offered the souls... would he actually be dumb enough to believe he'd actually get them? Dick made his opinion of demons pretty clear. I believe Crowley will end up helping the boys in the end. The big question is where do thy get that big bone? Can't be Dean since he's walking and talking, so I wish they'd used a different word than 'righteous'. They're confusing they're own descriptions.

Anyway, one more ep which will more than likely end in a cliffhanger? Will the boys defeat Dick? Will the Levi's fall once they take him out? All will be revealed in the finale!

Best line: Alpha Vamp: "See you next season." :)

  10. Intriguing...very intriguing especially with Alpha Vamp saying, "see you next season." Where in the world is Bobby? What happened to Kevin Tran? Where's the weapon coming from? How will Crowley escape Dick's clutches? Anyway can't wait till next week and the exciting conclusion to season 7. But before that the CW Upfronts of season 8.

Hoping the finale doesn't disappoint because this season has been one of my favorites.

  11.  Mary was a ghost for over 22 years and she never went bad.  Most of the ghosts in the haunted house where Annie died were non-violent. The ghosts who were patients in Asylum only wanted their story told, they did not attack people violently, on Dr. Ellison did and he was crazy to begin with.  So yeah, I agree assuming Bobby will go bad is jumping the gun.  Plus hunters deal with a scewed sample.  The only ghosts they hear about are those causing trouble.  We have no idea how many are just hanging around enjoying the afterlife and minding their own business.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I've really like dthe past few episodes, but this one was just..bland.  It had a couple small high points, but for the most part I feel like nothing interesting happened in the slightest.  And there were a few things that I couldn't even 'grin and bare it' because it was just ... a stretch of the imagination.  Oh well, every episode can't be a hit.  On to the finale!

    ReplyDelete
  13. There wasn't sign for Bobby either, for months, that he was going bad 'til he confronted face to face the guy who killed him and he's still breathing air. Mary didn,t exactly had a face to face with the YED since she died, the ghosts in the house I'm guessing they couldn't do much to take their revenge since the guy was already dead, and/or they were too afraid to do something

It was amazingly good paced and interesting episode for me.. just like the last one. Scenes were coherent without broken consistency. :D

Meta-jokes were subtle but made me laugh :D

Bobby issue is troubling but may be it would be solved in S8 (Yay S8)

Now that I look back... that whole Amy-angst was unnecessary plot. It's like a spin-off timeline that occurred within the show. Still no good dwelling in the past. :)

Good to see writers writing out subtleties like Alpha-Eve-Levia connections (I would've hated if they had missed it.)

And yeah... the brothers seems kind off dumbed down in last few episode including this... they addressed it being the food but it was not clear if the brothers themselves were infected or not (If it was implied than it was too much subtle... too shallow to be noticed in one go.)

Rick Worthy is awesome... he just bring out a certain 'Grace' and 'Primal Instincts' in playing the Alpha.

    Edgar maimed... LOL!
Dick seem to had good henchmen and one of them is off. (I would love to see the offing of Doctor-TV Anchor-[etc etc] switched out by Levia in finale).

And 1 more thing I believe (may be I'm imagining things) is that since S6 they have used bright camera filters... it just not have that earlier atmosphere and with this bright filter 'Carry On My Wayward Son' just seems wrong (Sorry for saying it 2 seasons late :P )... but hey

CHANGE IS REALITY. CHANGE IS LIFE.

    I can take it.

Watashi to gamanshite arigatou gozai masu. :))

    Looking forward for season finale.

  15. Also, the episode was rife with really icky consent issues. Taking a stoned guy's blood is assault. Dabb and Loflin always have really gross behaviour in their episodes, and I wish they'd just be fired from writing TV forever.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah. Let's fight vampires with sticks and stones because it's too horrible sticking a needle in some zombie dude.
He'll thank Sam and Dean for restoring his sanity.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If Sam and Dean had just discussed the fact that it was horrible and wrong, and come to the conclusion that their hands were tied and they had to take the guy's blood, that would have been an improvement. But no. The fact that he's not in a state where he can consent is made into a joke.

Dabb and Loflin are just really bad when it comes to stuff about bodily autonomy and consent. This is a pattern with them. "Time For a Wedding" and "Sam Interrupted" are other examples. I just really wish they'd go away and stop inflicting their grossness on the show.

And don't you ever forget that, Dean.

  21. I could listen to the guy playing the alpha vampire talk for days.  I love his voice.  Vamptonite.  hee hee.  Mostly a fun ep.  I'm curious how they're going to manage to keep Bobby from swirling down the drain into poltergeist-dom, but I gotta say...I don't really care about the Leviathan.  I think the problem is that, unlike, the last few season finale's there were personal stakes for the boys. This time it's just a monster hunt....and the monster is a little gross but not really  worth worrying about.   Still, like I said...fun ep.  Favorite bit...Dean realizing that he would have to actually eat fruits and vegetables.

  22. I vote for Crowley.  Dick basically called him poor white trash.  Crowley is NOT letting that one slide.

awesome episode i am not sure for me was medium average one, very jumpy & slow for my taste it was a funny dean quotes central because the good &funny scene turn up around him

  24. I loved the episode and thought it was really well done.  I don't think the boys need to talk about everything they do, even if it is wrong.  It doesn't need to be discussed, they just do what they need to do.  I have really enjoyed the whole season and Leviathan storyline.  Actually it is personal for them, because the leviathans killed Bobby and of course they need to protect the world from these things.  They have saved the world loads of time already.  Bobby is angry, but it doesn't mean he is going to become a poltergeist or an angry spirit as has already been pointed out not every ghost, goes bad.  However I do agree, keeping Bobby to the side doesn't really help him.  Loved the alphavamp and his confrontation with Sam and Dean and the Leviathan.  Glad to see he helped them out.  I don't think Crowley will sell them out, I think he will help them out, however the leviathans won't make it easy for them.

i really loved this episode, i've thought these last few have been amazing and are taking the story far very well but maybe its just me but  i feel as if there has been something missing in these last few episode. i don't know what it is but i find i'm often waiting for more.
on the whole i still thought this was an incredible episode. i loved crowley, loved the alpha, loved seeing the leviathans plans in action and the extra addition to the plan that the corn syrup kills all monsters that try to eat humans.
the whole bobby situation is getting interesting. i'm not exactly sure what i feel about it. i think when the boys next get the chance, they need to get rid of bobby. even though i love seeing him around, as hunters, they need to stop him.
    can't wait for the finale!!

haha, i loved that "next season" comment too, i thought it was hilarious

  27. I think Crowley too, until he finds out that Meg and Cas are on Team Winchester now and turns against them.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Awesome as always! I loved what the Alpha Vamp said as Sam and Dean were leaving-"See you next season." That had to be one of the best comments made out of last night's show! I thought we might see Cas last  night and a little more of Crowley, but from the previews for next week, it seems everyone comes together at the end to fight the Leviathans. I think it is going to be quite the cliffhanger once again. I hope only the bad guys are destroyed and the heroes shine in the end. Can't wait for it, but then it will be a long summer of reruns, but they are always something good to look forward to each and every week, too. It has been an awesome season and I am truly pleased that the boys will be back in the fall.

  29. Can somebody please explain to me how Bobby was able to do his ghost thing to scope out the mansion even though the flask was in the car, even though only a few scenes before Dean left the flask in the car and walked with Sam only a very short distance to get away from him to start talking about him? One minute he is only 'able to haunt' the direct vacinity of the flask, next minute he's going a very long distance. Did I miss some explanation? if not, that was really sloppy writing.

I loved the episode. I always know that the episodes leading up to the finale will really deliver, and this was no different. I can't wait to see how the plan plays out and I am super scared for it too (as I usually am)

    ReplyDelete
  31. loved the "see you next season" remark

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, I'd say the odds are pretty heavy in Crowley's favor.  He doesn't take anything lying down!

    ReplyDelete
  33. They did pack a lot into the last few episodes but then that's pretty much a trend with Sera as she did the same thing last season.  And she managed to pull it off well, so I'm assuming next week will be a great capper too.

As for the use of the word "righteous", I think Bobby explained it pretty clearly when he was talking to Dean in the bathroom, "Someone who is as good and light as the Leviathan are dark and evil".   Can't imagine at this point who that's going to be but I think it's safe to assume it's not Dean.  I was kind of hoping they'd clear that one up this week but we've got to keep on waiting.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Uh...I don't know what you were missing with the food, but I don't think they could've made that whole more clear.  Dean was pretty much going into withdrawal because he couldn't eat his pie and other junk food.  Didn't you see the whole exchanged with them in the store "then what do we eat?" and Sam  holds up the shopping basket with Bananas and other fruits.  No, they weren't infected becase they never ate any processed food after they realized Dick and co. had begun to taint it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't disagree with the travesty that was TFAW, but I think you're overreacting to the guy on the bench.  They did have an exchange about that, with Sam thinking t was wrong to just take his blood and Dean basically saying they didn't have time for the soft sell approach.  Under the circumstances, they really didn't.  Under normal circumstances I certainly don't think it's something Sam and Dean would even consider doing.  They're trying to save the world from the Leviathan...you pretty much have to do what you have to do.

    ReplyDelete
  36. That was like one of the most awesome lines ever! :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. Crowley will do whatever helps Crowley...and in this case I think that's going to be leaning toward the boy's side of things.  At least I hope!

    ReplyDelete
  38.  Good episode.

Dick just let the prophet kid go? Hard to believe.

Bobby fall is hard to watch. Especially through Dean "I'm the king of denial land" eyes. Having to kill somebody he loves is a no-no for Dean. We saw that with Sam, with Cas, and now, with Bobby.
I don't think the writers will go so far, but if needed, Sam will be the one to salt and burn Bobby.

Crowley: "unless you have an angel up your sleeve"
Dean: "well, that'd be convenient but no"
Dean is lying to protect Cas. Love it!
Was Crowley fishing or does he knows about Cas?

I find a little disapointing that the task of building a weapon useful again the leviathan isn't that hard after all.  Why didn't the writers came up with that idea sooner?
They could have build that arc slowly, make the boys think and figure things out. Have them fail and be stuck before resolving that challenge. That would have been better than rushing the weapon quest in two episodes.

So, when push comes to the shove,  Dean and Sam also chose the greater good (saving the boy but letting the girl in the Alpha griffes)  Why do the words "Cas" and "double stadard" keep popping in my head?

Crowley trapped by dick!!! How in hell are the boys going to get the blood of ... Maybe Crowley left a vial "in case of emergency" for them?

    best quotes :

Dean: "I can't live on rabbit food, I'm a warrior!"

    Alpha: "see you next season!"

Dean: "keep calm and carry on"

  39. My favourite line would have to be "see you next season" "looking forward to it" . Thought the episode was awesome. Knew something was up with that girl! There always is something up with kids on this show =P. I love how Sam wouldn't leave without the little kid, reminds me of season 1 and 2 Sam. Finale will be epic especially with the Metallicar back in action :D

  40. I almost forgot about "Carry on Wayward Son", the THEN recap with that song is heartbreaking not only cause the song fits this show so well but it means hellaitus is coming up! I honestly can't listen to that song without feeling sad.

  41. Crowley will help himself and try to take advantage of the situation.

Can wait to see Crowley and Cas reaction when they will meet again :-)

  42.  "Dean realizing that he would have to actually eat fruits and vegetables."
    :-D

Where did Sam acquired a taste for healthy food? It's certainly not Dean who taught him that. Dean must have fed his little bro with junk-food all the time. It's a chance Sam had some demon blood to help him grown ;-)

I saw that episode again. You're right. :)

  44. I really liked the episode. Some of the backstory they gave was really interesting too. especially about EVE. It was funny watching the Alpha Vamp get pissed at Edgar calling her a whore. Gave some backstory some light.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I usually love leather jackets but I find this one doesn't fit well on Jensen. I think it's the cut.
Green shirt is still a win though.

Yep. All the junk-food quotes were gold. Dick made a fatal error. You don't go in the way of Dean/pie love story if you want to live. ;-)

Sam: "definitively the pie" Dean: "bastards!"

    ReplyDelete
  46. The girl was clearly attached to the Alpha, so even if they did take her with them, she would have returned.  She was beyond their help and both Sam and Dean knew that.  Right now killing the Alpha wouldn't have helped them either, so they do what is best for the world.  Last I they tried to stop Cas in the first place, but he wouldn't listen until it was too late.  Now they are trying clean up the mess that wouldn't have happened if he listened to them.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not much to say about this episode, really.  For a penultimate episode, it was surprisingly boring.

  48. I am so mad, the CW station in Houston had weather alerts and not the kind with the crawlers, but LOUD tones that went on a long time and then an idiot talking.  Could not hear any of the dialog and if I had not put CC on, would not have known what they were saying.  It won't happen to me again, I now have CW from LA, so if this stations screws with SPN again, I can get it 2 hours later.  I email the station and asked them if they had never heard of a crawler.  Sorry for my rant, I am still mad enough to chew nails. lol  Looking forward to the DVD.

  50. Just didn't get the motor revving. Alpha Vamp needs a bigger neck or smaller shirt. Makes him look less imposing.  I thought an archangel was supposed to wipe out any threat to a prophet. The angels sent were no match for the Leviathan.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think I'm the only one who thought "See you next season." line was tacky. Like they're not even trying to pretend this is real anymore. It's just a show full of jokes and gimmicks and it's sad when compared to what it used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  52.  I don't think anyone ever pretended this was real, it is just awesome fun, entertainment and my favorite TV show with the best brothers(not real) best monsters(not real) and best Angel(not real) on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Of course, not us. But the character damn well out to act like this was real. The best stories about brothers and monsters are the ones that make you believe their brotherhood and their monstrous-ness are real. The more authentic, the better.

Compare this to the first or second season and you'd see the difference.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Its just the writers trying to be cool and clever. Maybe they should concentrate on writing decent characters and storylines instead of silly and tacky Meta moments. Not to mention they've dont the same thing before, it was maybe funny the first time now its just an eye roll moment.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Loved it! So good to see Crowley and Alpha Vamp again. Poor Dean - he's not allowed pie! That's gonna push him over the edge. Poor Bobby - I hope they can save him!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I liked it. Not in love with it, but it was a good episode (though just like the one before, I felt it also showcased the show's age way too much... but it held up regardless and that is why even so far in the game the show still works.)

One thing I could have done without? The meta wink.... it was totally 100% out of place in the episode.
