Whoa! Daniel, whatever respect you had gained from me was completely destroyed during that interview. I'm glad our girl is now including him as part of her revenge. Anyone who can hear something like that and not reveal it isn't worth forgiveness either.
Another awesome episode! Last week I wasn't at all surprised that the Grayson's had David Clarke murdered, but it definitely led to some great developments this episode.
Loved seeing contrasting sides of Emily. Lately we've seen Emily getting darker, but we saw that she still has soft spots this weeks. I loved seeing her understanding why Nolan had kept the journal from her when she realized that he was just trying to protect his aunt. And it to me it felt like she not only wanted to Daniel to tell the truth in the interview to expose the truth, but because she actually has fallen for him and felt like maybe she could have a life with him if he stayed true to wanting to be his own person and not follow in the path of his parents (you could clearly see hurt and disappointment when he didn't).
As for Daniel, I was really surprised that Conrad actually fessed up and told him everything. I kept hoping the whole time that he would tell the whole story and was sorely disappointed in him when he didn't. Over the course of the season, Daniel has become my favorite character because he refused to follow in his parents footsteps and stayed a good guy despite the shit storm around him. I thought the scene between Jack and Daniel was done well because it showed he was very conflicted. I hope that his conscience gets the better of him and he decides to the right thing. Then again that's part of what's great about this show is you never know what's coming next.
It was nice to see Jack not pining over Faux-Amanda (I really liked him in the beginning of the season and then he just became a character I didn't really care about so much and I realized tonight it was because of Faux-Amanda). I'm glad Declan ratted out Charlotte, hopefully that's the end of the drug storyline. And I'm glad that Victoria's painter storyline led to somewhere other than showing a different side of her-I didn't really care for that (it'll be interesting to see how much the Feds find out).
Really looking forward to next weeks episode and what's going to happen in the rest of the season!
Loved the episode. It was definitely one of the best ones yet.
Okay, Daniel. I totally despise him now. I understand not wanting to tear his family apart, but seriously? HIS FATHER CONFESSED EVERYTHING. And Daniel still let him get away with it. I can't pretend to even like Daniel anymore.
I felt so bad for Emily when Daniel took his father's side. I mean, just the look on her face. She had an awful childhood, and her fiance just betrayed her trust as well. Seriously, what the hell was Daniel thinking? Emily deserves the best, and Daniel is not it.
I think the scene with Nolan, his aunt, and Emily was cute, actually. I don't know, it made Nolan actually seem like a real person?
Okay, Declan officially bugs the living crap out of me. He's just making things worse for Charlotte. And speaking of Charlotte, I just wanted to say that I hope to god she's the one Grayson that comes out of this whole mess as a good person, as how she used to be before she found out about her father. I feel her pain, I really do.
Is it weird that I'm pleased Ashley and Conrad are working together? I just mean in terms that Ashley can finally get even with Victoria. And the fact that Conrad just gave her the car, and the job? I don't know, I feel like Ashley needs to get even with Victoria, so I don't care how she goes about it, even if it means working with Conrad.
Did I mention how much I don't like Daniel?
I thought it was sweet how Jack was looking out for Emily. He seems to care about her far more than Daniel ever did (at least from my POV). I want Jack and Emily together! They're soul mates.
Anyway, can't wait for next week's episode! Should be great.
Why I love Nolan? He's on the phone with Emily. Emily walks in the room. He says "I'll call you right back."
The car with murderer on the windshield is the weakest commercial break scene I can remember with this show.
Did not expect the Nolan connection.
Hell hath no fury like a women who's lover was chased off by her ex-husband.
Shocker of the season...Victoria noticed her daughter was in pain.
Absolutely not surprised that Daniel folded and followed in his father's footsteps. Nope, not surprised at all. Why is the phrase "I pity the fool!" running through my mind right now?
I'm kinda confused about something. Did Emily make a recording of the confession? I mean, she was listening in on the entire thing, she better have recorded it! Just leaking that one recording would absolutely destroy that entire family, Daniel along with it. That would have been it.
Granted, Charlotte would be caught in the crossfire. Besides having a pathological need to hurt herself, she is the only one in the family who hasn't done anything wrong.
Probably but I think he wants to get more of it versus exposing them. She knows that she can do more damage the more she digs because she is slowly starting to learn more and more details about the people that were involved. Plus she wants to shatter Daniel heart into a million pieces.
I liked this episode but I didn't LOVE it, like I usually do, I can't put my finger on it. I think it was because it seemed to me that Victoria saw that she had finally and truly lost Daniel, so she is trying to cling to Charlotte now. That whole scene just didn't sit right with me. But I can't believe Emily didn't consider that the riot was a cover up because I thought that ever since we've know that's how he was killed. Chaos is the greatest cover for wrong doing.
- Well this just confirms that Emily is about to go a whole lot more darker. Seriously, the episode end narration by her was chilling and ominous.-This also pretty much makes me sure that Emily will end up killing someone by the end of this season. Directly or indirectly.- So I guess Charlotte is set up to eventually go down as second "Emily Thorne", except that her target might end up being our Emily herself...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
it just keeps getting better and better

I couldn't believe that Conrad actually told Daniel everything. I'm not, however, surprised that Daniel stood behind his father and kept the secrets.
ReplyDeleteAwesome ep overall
Haha, yeah, Nolan has the best lines.
ReplyDeleteProbably but I think he wants to get more of it versus exposing them. She knows that she can do more damage the more she digs because she is slowly starting to learn more and more details about the people that were involved. Plus she wants to shatter Daniel heart into a million pieces.
ReplyDeleteRevenge seems to have really hit it's stride after the Fire and Ice episode.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I got a sympathy for Conrad in this episode. I must have hit my head somewhere.

ReplyDeleteSo much has happened!! It was amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThis was one of the best ones so far, I think. Everyone was especially duplicitous and there were a lot of reveals. Great ep.
ReplyDeleteOh Daniel.... baaaaaad move!
ReplyDeleteI love Jack/Nolan/Declan moments. I really do!
Great episode.
Fantastic ep!
ReplyDeleteIm kind of sad we didnt get to see Daniel's face while listening to Conrad.
Am I the only one rooting for Conrad/Victoria hatesex? :P
Guess, I like still Daniel. He is true Grayson after all. And I love Graysons <3
Show's getting better and better!
