  1. It was a very exciting episode!
I loved the scene where Mary Margaret was acting so like Emma's Mom :)

Jefferson being back was great but I thought in Hat Trick he went through the hat Emma made? They never said what happened :(

Henry sacrificing himself to save Emma so she can break the curse.

So looking forward to next weeks finale! It looks so amazing!

  2. Great!!! Season Finale is gonna be amazing!! wow!!

  3. I loved this episode so much! Henry and August were so cute in their scene.

My favorite was Mary acting all motherly towards Emma! That was awesome.

And holy crap at this entire episode! I cannot believe Henry did that. Maybe Emma's love for Henry will help break the curse a little and wake him up.

I cannot freaking wait for next week!

  4. Regina and Snow/MM were perfect. Emma and Henry were pretty annoying though.

Lana Parrilla completely owned this episode. Her facial expressions kill me every time. The look on her face when she sacrificed the ring Daniel gave her... and that whole scene back at the Stables and at Daniel's grave... wow.

  5. Honestly, I thought it was pretty boring. The Storybrooke scenes were okay, though predictable.
Fairy Tale scenes had no suspense, since we knew what was going to happen. Excited for the finale though!

  6. A lot of really dull parts, mostly with Emma and Charming. But any scenes with Regina, Gold, Red or Snow/MM really sparkled.

  7. Weren't they? I didn't realize how much I wanted Snow/Regina scenes until these last few episodes.

Question: Snow told Charming when they first met that she ruined the EQ's life. I assumed that meant she knew about Daniel, but obviously she didn't until the events of this episode. So what did she think the EQ was so angry about before this? And why, in the pilot, did she say 'She poisoned an apple because she thought I was prettier than her', which clearly isn't true? Could just be a plot hole, but I have a hard time accepting that. What else happened between Snow and the EQ?

  9. I wonder if we'll see an episode with Snow under the influence of the sleeping curse. It would be interesting to see her regrets.

  10. I wish the Snow/Regina conversation about Daniel was longer though was longer though. There is a lot more that could have been in the scene.

    ReplyDelete
  11. How did Snow think she destroyed Regina's happiness? She didn't know Daniel was dead until Regina told her. So what was that letter she had the Huntsman deliver to Regina about if it wasn't about Daniel?

  12. Awesome episode!

I loved August and Henry's talk. I feel bad for August. :(

Loved the fairytale world attack on the castle. Snow has great friends. And Granny was kick-ass. lol

    Loved Mary snapping at Emma.

Loved seeing Jefferson again. Hopefully after this he won't help her anymore because with the plan back firing Regina won't fulfill her end of the bargain even though he did his part.

Speaking of backfiring, I don't want to see Henry die/get hurt but I'm glad he did what he did. Now Emma has to believe. She has no choice!

  13. Loving SNOW & CHARMING scenes. Touching hands.....EPIC
    And Snow / Regina
    And Snow / Emma
    I didn't care for Jeff....

  14. And the Regina vs Emma stuff..........BORING.
Anyway, this epi has many epic scenes

  15. Weirdest opening scene EVER. I enjoyed the scene between Henry and August, and loved the scene between Mary Margaret and Emma in the kitchen - great mother/daughter stuff, even if they might not be aware of what they really are to each other. It was cool to see Mary Margaret being so assertive! I like how it paralleled the return of badass Snow back in the fairy tale world, too. That's my favorite side of Ginnifer Goodwin on the show for sure. The fairies looked absolutely ridiculous in the siege of the castle, though.

The scene between the Evil Queen and Snow at Daniel's grave was chilling... and holy crap, Henry! I can honestly say I didn't see that one coming... the finale is going to be fantastic... I can't wait!

  16. I think that Snow though that she made Daniel leave and that ruined EQ's life. Now she knows that he died because she told EQ's mother the secret.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If Regina took another lover after Daniel and Snow again got him killed... lol

  18. Not the best episode of the season, but it was clearly a set-up to next week's finale.

The fairytale plot was predictable. I actually disliked the idea of a parley between Snow and Regina. It seemed so anti-climactic, and Snow's decision was SO quick. I don't know, I guess I expected something more emotional. In Storybrooke, Henry was finally useful when he crashed the yellow bug. August was great, and I actually understood where Emma came from. I mean, we know the truth, but asking for an adult woman to believe in fairytales is clearly too much.Overall, a good episode. I voted "Awesome" because of the visual appearance of the castle, Gold's scenes and Jefferson's return, but it's pretty sad that the only exciting part was Regina's dream in the beginning.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I loved the way Henry and August were talking, and i actually feel bad for August!  I don't remember did the fairy ever say if he would ever be able to turn back into a boy/man?

The dream did absolutely nothing for me i thought it was all filler. For that matter the show as a whole didn't do much for me,sure things sprinkled here and there but i thought it could have been better.

Mary having the talk with Emma after Emma came back was cute.

I knew from the promo that Henry was going to eat the turnover,so now Emma can't leave but lets see what lie Regina gives and what can be done for Henry.Whatever it is Regina will somehow doctor the report..

Emma may not want to save the town but she better start waking up to the fact that this isn't going to go away just because she doesn't want to deal with it,or that she isn't capable of it....

I'm hoping i'm just tired, maybe i'll like it more tomorrow?

Ah, forgot about him 'running away'. Yeah, I guess that could be it. Still, really wanna see more back story with those two. There's gotta be more history there we're not seeing. Not necessarily any more big traumatic events, just...history.

My thoughts exactly. Read my post above and the replies, might shed a little light.

At least we know now why the EQ put her under that curse instead of killing charming - it would take away her love AND force her to think about all of her regrets forever and ever. Seems like a pretty fitting end, and Charming gets punished, too, because he thinks his true love is dead. I was wondering there for a while why she wouldn't kill Charming, so I'm glad the writers gave us a plausible scenario.

  23. She said he'd stay real as long as he was good/honest in the last episode as soon as she'd made him into a real boy.

  24. Another GREAT episode.

    - Just as I guessed, Emma's buildup is the "restricted" kind of. Not even once she did deny the existence of it all verbally in the episode and henry falling down in the end of the episode was the event that starts the avalanche.

    - Snow's castle attack was awesome. Now I am even more convinced that Blue Fairy is behind it all since she participated in pretty much every major event, just as Rumple did.

    - Speaking of which, its nice to have confirmation that he wants something that will happen once curse breaks. i wonder on what the hell is it.

  25. Dream is clearly not a filler.

We had apples rotting this episode and the promo for next one shows Emma with a  sword.

Its a metaphorical dream, but its clearly prophetic, at least partially.

    ReplyDelete
  26. He wants the curse to fall so he can leave town and try to find his son.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Henry eat the turnover and becomes under the spell. The only way now is for Emma to break the Curse to save Henry! That is so Cool!

  28. Oh, god. This episode was fantastic. I loved every scene.

I'll admit, the ending scene made me tear up. Just that Henry and Emma were both like...I don't know, it was just so sad. I really hope Emma believes at least SOMETHING now.

I also loved the scene between Henry and August/Pinocchio. I like August, and I hope somehow he'll be able to be fully human again.

The MM/Emma scene was great, too. I could practically see Emma as being a kid being scolded by her mother.

I'm sorry, but I loved the scenes between Regina and Mr. Gold.

YAY, we saw Jefferson again! I really like him.

Snow White was badass again in tonight's episode. I missed that. It was so sad to see her bite the apple and fall into a deep sleep. Prince Charming to the rescue!

Speaking of which, I still hate that damn king that tried to control Prince Charming. UGH, gag.

    NO, Henry.

Okay the scene where Snow White and her helpers attacked the castle reminded me of scenes from both Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian. I don't know, it was somewhat like Deja Vu to me.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE. It's obvious there'll be a season 2, so I'm not going to be all sad and mopey that the season ends next Sunday. I'll just wait (impatiently) for the second season. This show is SO GOOD.

    ReplyDelete
  29. We do not know that.

he could obviously leave to pick up henry, so I guess there's something else that would happen once it breaks.

    ReplyDelete
  30. OMFG! NOOOOOOOOOOO! It can't end like that!!! I need the Season Finale NOW!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. No, but she did think that Daniel ran off because that's what Regina told her.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I was so much happier with this episode.  The battle was really cool.  Regina's eye make up when she was giving Snow White the apple was really cool.  I called Henry eating that turn over to prove a point.  I love Jefferson!

    Great episode.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The possibility of Henry is probably the only thing that could motivate her to believe.

I think the episode is very much a set up episode and then the back story was something we know already, so there wasn't much to that...

But the best part I thought was learning more about the magic in Storybrooke, the stuff that Regina was able to take with her...but also that Jefferson's hat can not just lead to the other lands, but he can use it as a portal to reach through one's memories...he can reach for object through "time"!

I love Jefferson. I thought he was so kind to ask Regina to not let Grace remember, because of how horrible it is to remember two sets of lives. I still hope Jefferson has a trick up his sleeve and will help Emma in some way. I am still hoping she has to go to fairy tale land or wonderland at some point, just because it would add a welcomed colorful dimension to her current state of not being able to do anything much.

    ReplyDelete
  34.  I love Jefferson too,and last night i missed some of it so i'm definitely re-watching. I think the only show i don't move, answer the phone or anything else is you know, Fringe! Let me watch it again, then i'll get back to you sometime today.. off topic but can you tell me the name of the comic Josh wrote, someone asked me about where they could buy it and the name...

  35. Awesome episode.

The moment Regina gave Emma the apple pie, I knew Henry would be the one eating it, but I didn't expect that he was going to do it willingly. That was a courageous move.

I can't wait to see how Regina will react to Henry being it by her own spell. I suppose she will blame Emma anyway.
As it seems there is no magic left, I wonder how Henry will be cured. Maybe by the kiss of a loved one just like snow-white?
I hope Emma will open her eyes now. Maybe then, the curse will be weakened enough to stop August reversing into woody pinocchio.

I like mary margaret in this episode; she is more spirited. I wonder if she is somehow merging more and more with her bad ass counterpart. Her conversation with Emma was totally a mother/daughter one :-)
Gold/rumpelskin actor still steal the show every time he is on screen.

    Fairies! Attack!

  37. I have a theory about this...Lewis Carols basically has two villains in both his Alice novels....he describes the Queen of Hearts as a "fury" never listening always killing ("off with your head")...he says people always confuse her with The Red Queen, which he described as " a fury, but a different kind" -more calm restricted like a "governess"...

So I think Cora is The Queen of Hearts and I think the Blue Fairy wants to get rid of her and become the new queen of Wonderland...perhaps that is what the curse is about, over throwing Cora, since interestingly none of the characters that seem to live in Wonderland (Jefferson may have still been on Regina's reality at the time of curse) are not in Storybrooke...

  38. Great episode!
Snow was really kick-ass when she broke into the castle. She was really good with the sword!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wonderland is a separate dimension from FTL. The curse targeted fairy tale land. Wonderland inhabitants are still in their world and most likely play important role latter on since we only saw them with masked faces for now.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Everyone has been acting more and more like their FTL counterparts. David seems to be more assured and more confident, MM is way more tense and stronger figure overall.

I think thats because Emma "believes" but does not want to. Never even once did she deny the curse's existence this week. Henry getting hurt might be exactly the needed push for her to accept the truth she denies due to her own insecurities.

  41. that's what I am suggesting. that's why I use the words "reality" and "universe", because clearly we have several!

  43.  Thanks!  She will be so excited,i'm thinking of getting it too.I had no idea EBAY has a comic shop..cool! I'll be back in a bit! I see your busy!

  44. Awesome episode. The castle fight was cool, but it felt like it lacked... something. I don't know. Could've been better.

Lana Parilla kicks all kinds of ass.
I love this show, but my only problem remains Jennifer Morrison. She is just so wooden, she'd be a better Pinocchio :P But seriously, I would like the Emma character so much more if she was played by someone who could actually act :\

    ReplyDelete
  45. Lot of people have "stores" on EBAY...but if you just type in "Beyond the Fringe Comic" you should get results both from individual sellers and the stores!

    ReplyDelete
  46.  I think i need to read my fairy tails again! In Once i don't remember why the EQ killed her farther, can you remind me i do not have the episodes recorded anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not back to life. Queen of Hearts shrunk him the same way Alice shrunk from the food in Wonderland story.

Also by hatter's hat there are at least 13 different worlds + "World without magic".

    ReplyDelete
  48.  Ha,now you can tell how often i even look on EBAY. :P

    ReplyDelete
  49. Regina had to rip out the heart of what she loved most to enact the curse. She didn't see how she could ever be happy in FTL and chose to kill her father and use the curse.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Agreed. Part of the reason I root for the villains so much is because they are the best actors on the show, whereas I get bored watching Emma as she really doesn't have any kind of acting skills or charisma.

    ReplyDelete
  51. If my life depended on it i wouldn't have remembered.
Thank you David, you saved me some brain cells!  :)

  52. It was an okay episode.  Not great.

     - To ABC promo department:  If you knew the last scene in this episode was going to be Henry eating the turnover and collapsing, why the hell did you put that in the promo!?  Anyone who saw it knew what was going to happen at the end of the show.  What kind of morons spoil their own program?
     - I'm a little disappointed that the mob scene was a nightmare but I can't say I'm surprised.  That would have wrapped things up too nicely.
     - Mary Margaret showed her "angry mom" side.  She really let Emma have it with both barrels.
     - That Henry is a bit young to be such an adrenaline junkie.  He runs into collapsing mine shafts, breaks into houses, runs away across state lines, crashes cars, and willingly ingests poisons.  The kid has issues.
     - We've had a lot of mother / daughter time this season with Emma and Mary Margaret.  When are we going to get some father / daughter time?
     - I loved the fact that, no matter what she said or did, Regina couldn't rattle Gold.  Even when she thought she "won" Gold still sat back and silently thought her to be quite foolish.
     - I almost feel sad for Regina because her goals in life are so pathetic.
     - The Jefferson subplot turned out to be disappointingly predictable.
     - The Henry / August scene turned out to be the best one in this episode.
     - Question:  So Regina knows that Emma is the "savior" but she doesn't know Emma is Snow's daughter?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oh, why did I think she got his heart out of a heart box and used a spell to restore him?

    ReplyDelete
  54. I would like see more Emma and David time too....IMO she's a lot like him, so it's kind of a shame that they haven't really had any kind of good moment together.

And I am not sure about your question either. It seems like it doesn't matter that much, because Regina has yet to intentionally hurt Henry (so who knows what this turn over will do magically?!) and because they can't kill Emma, or the curse will break.

    ReplyDelete
  55. :) Look like many people loved the last 2 episodes, I really need to see those two. The finale will be great

    ReplyDelete
  56. She knows that the savior is SNow's and Charming's daughter. Rumple said as much to her in Ep2. So yes, she knows who Emma is.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I really don't like the actress either. All I see is Zoe from HIMYM. But looks wise she is perfect casting to be Snow and Charming's daughter.
