    I think it was okay .. I actually this was the finale :P anyways, I love Jane's down moments.. Can't wait for next Thursday .. (btw, WTH was that in Lisbon's office?? o_O)

    I personally think Jane has some sort of plan. Make himself lose everything, including his friends, so he'll appear vulnerable to RJ. The trailer for next week shows the two of them apparently working together. I think he's come up with a plan for tricking RJ into revealing himself.

    I stopped watching after last year's season finale, once I found out Patrick didn't actually kill Red John, but some other bad guy. After that fake-out, I can't really trust the show to ever resolve this storyline. I think the whole Red John stuff is incredibly overplayed. This episode, the few minutes I saw, was as depressing as I thought it'd be.

    The problem is though that they have to stay somewhat true to reality. Like they said the confession would never be accepted in a court of law because it would be considered to be coerced or to have been obtained through entrapment. Not only that but lawyers in other murder cases could use it to cast doubt over the judgement of the team and the validity of the evidence or confessions.

    In real cases, confessions like this aren't allowed because even innocent people will confess to just stop be coerced/tortured/etc. It would be nice in a perfect world that we could use these methods when the killer was guilty, but we are human and humans make mistakes about thinking that an innocent party is guilty.

    So personally I thought it was refreshing that they actually showed consequences to Jane's actions instead of just portraying him as a hero for catching the guy. Too many shows portray things unrealistically, which tends to spawn ignorance (think the CSI effect-many people think that labs can process evidence right away because of CSI, but most labs are either so backlogged it takes weeks or they are so underfunded they don't have the technology to do certain things you see on TV).

    jane as red john meaning of course that he has a split personality and has gone mad at times due to the death of family and he cant deal with the reality of it all still so he goes "in and out" of both worlds anyone agree with this theory!?

    So what if it's depressing? about 20 episodes of each season are fun and light hearted, it's good to have the dark episodes now and again, especially around finale time. I really don't see this episodes sombre nature being a negative thing in terms of its quality.

    Anyway, I voted AWESOME cause, y'know...it was.

    The trauma clearly did something to Jane but making him dissociative is highly unlikely in my opinion (also the producers denied this I think). If he got mad and became RJ due to the death of his family, then who killed his family? And even more: who was the guy that strapped Jane to the seat?

    this episode was so creepy,weir,disturbing,kinki out of confort zone story line the best scene when jane speak his opinion about that chief imitation (blah) i know was very over the top but well deserved .that chief think he is a coke (original) but everyone is changing to pepsi

    It was like watching a tiger play with a mouse, then going for the kill. Jane can be frightening sometimes :-)
    He was totally playing Wainwright. Jane wanted to be fired.
