  1. Oh thank God April survived (sorry GA fans, but you guys had me scared for her!)

But I'm so sad (and surprised) Lexie died. I figured that she would have been alive if Meredith didn't renew her contract.

  2. All that hype. Fizzled like a wet bottle rocket.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I didn't like this finale at all!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Holy Shit... grow a heart Shonda...
I'm gonna sleep now and hope to wake up in October.
And we thought she was mean shoothing the entire hospital two seasons ago... gosh

    ReplyDelete
  5. Guess Chyler really wanted to leave. I am sad right now (though I am very happy that it wasn't Arizona, gotta be honest). I always hate when (loved) main characters leave.. :(

    ReplyDelete
  6. hated it. i cant believe lexie died! it just seems so unnecessary!! i don't think im going to watch next season

    ReplyDelete
  7. That was amazing! I loved it. And nooooooooooo, Lexie! I guessed it was going to be her, but then she did and I didn't like it. And Oh God, everyone else. Poor Mark. I thought they were going to kill them both off and make it an extremely tragic love story.

And I don't think anyone gave a fuck about anything back at the hospital, but way to screw up, Owen. They could have been found hours earlier if you had just answered your phone!

    Cannot wait for next season.

    ReplyDelete
  8. WTH??? Godammit!!! This is not a way to end a season!!! They were just lost there and no one knew!!!
Shonda, please don't kill anyone else when the new season starts!!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. i hate how she kills off people we get attatched to them and she brings new people i loved lexie sooo much she was my fav im done with shondaland just pisses me off

    ReplyDelete
  10. Worst season finale all year, worse than GG.. and that's saying A LOT!

Shonda has successfully turned me off from being a viewer. after 8 years, i'm finally done.

    ReplyDelete
  11. to have another "Grey" on a show called Grey's anatomy??? If so, I was thinking the same...

    ReplyDelete
  12.  the women that plays Lexie wanted to  leave the show

    ReplyDelete
  13. When Mark was in really bad shape i kind of wished they would kill him too! It would make more sense for me, even thought i don't really care about them as a couple, i think it would be nicer...

    ReplyDelete
  14. they just killed my favourite character. I'm going into mourning :(

    ReplyDelete
  15. the episode itself wasn't bad, it was just....pointless.  All this is doing is setting up for some serious angst next season that wasn't needed. Also, why the hell did you do all this back and forth with lexie and mark if you were just going to kill her??? i almost wish mark would have died too simply because i can't even begin to imagine him with anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I guess that was it!!!!!!! Mystery solved!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I think they killed the show, too.

    ReplyDelete
  18. i hope and pray that this is all some sort of dream sequence. way to rip one's heart out. lexie was one of my favorite characters.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I can't believe Lexie died. There seemed to be such a big hype about the finale but I didn't feel it lived up to expectations.

    ReplyDelete
  20.  it really just was an episode mainly to get rid of two characters and set up for next season.... other than that nothing really happened. Overall it was a pretty disappointing episode.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I never liked Lexie so I was not shocked at all that it was her who died and I saw it coming too. I am glad that Mark survived because I really didn't want Sofia to have no papa.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Okay, so let's recall this episode. Little Grey, Lexipedia, Lexie - whatever you want to call her - died. She actually DIED within the first minutes of the episode. I was so sad and I couldn't stop crying because she just DIED. Derek almost cut off his hand. World-renowned neurosurgeon Derek Christopher Shepherd did this to his 2 million dollar hand. His wife - HIS WIFE - had to stitch him up WITH a safety pin and WITHOUT any kind of anesthesia. After that, Meredith had to perform emergency surgery on Mark because he nearly joined Lexie on the 'Seattle Grace Mercy Death'-list.
And how does this episode end? The episode that included soooo many different moments - from happy to funny to incredibly sad - ends with the six victims ( including the pilot ) sitting in the woods looking like they might die any second and what do Cristina & Meredith do?! They sit there and just start cuddling. SERIOUSLY, you've got to be kidding me. The first 50 minutes were so intense and sad and heartbreaking and then it just ends like that.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still unbelievably sad that Lexie died but I simply couldn't cry during the last 5 minutes because I was so disappointed.
I'm really interested in getting to know if I'm the only one that thinks so?!
    Share your opinions please!
Good night and greetings from Germany!

It seems there going LOST next season.

    ReplyDelete
  24. THAT WAS PURE CRAP !!!
That's not a storyline worthy of a finale, that's not a even a storyline worthy of a regular episode. Killing lexie after 20 mins, talk about a cliffhanger! Focusing on Teddy when no one cares about her because there's people dying all over the place. The end was not as poignant as the trailer promised. I thought we were getting a remake of (at least a little bit) the season 6 finale. But no.
So, that's when I'm done with Grey's. Been a fan since the beginning but they should have stopped last year. Now, it's all ruined.
An episode like this really makes me appreciate the other good shows still out there...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I know Arizona survived but if Shonda kills her in the season 9 premiere , I'll flip out! n yaa, RIP Lexie

    ReplyDelete
  26. Worst finale ever. So pissed right now.

    ReplyDelete
  27.  seriously Shonda failed in her experiment this time, really disappointing! and I hope Arizona doesn't die in the next season premiere

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think the season finale was overhyped. Personally speaking I have never really been a lexie fan but I was really sad that she died. And honestly it sucked but I would rather her than Arizona. All in all I think the reason why this episode was overrated was possibly because we were all warned in advance and speculated so much.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Funny Story: i was about to watch the finale and decided against it when I heard Lexie died. Too painful to watch. I mean come on, Shonda you barely gave the girl any storylines, I thought she had a contract till next season - that was why she was not mentioned in the beginning of year.

I'm done with Grey's Anatomy! - Shonda, I'm sorry but you just killed the show!

    ReplyDelete
  30.   I think people just psyched themselves out, expecting something "more" than what it actually was.Shonda wanted a buzz made about it and she got it at the expense of viewers.

I actually liked it,i thought as far as cliffhanger goes it was pretty good,it reminded me of the Ferry boat accident.
      I need some sleep,tomorrow in the a.m. i'll finish.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I hated the finale!  It was awful!!  First Lexi and she was my FAV character!  And to kill her off in the beginning and then make the rest of the episode pointless.  I think Shonda did a horrible job with this finale.  I don't think I will be watching it anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Maybe people were psyching themselves too much, but if so it's Shondas fault because she even said in an interview that this episode would be on par with last seasons shooting.

    ReplyDelete
  33. it was hard to see i never wanted lexie to die and mark almost die with her damn !!

    ReplyDelete
  34. SHONDA YOU SUCK. I AM DONE WITH THIS SHOW. KILLING LEXIE OFF WAS THE LAST STRAW FOR ME. OH YOUR EPIC FINALE SUCKED!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Is everyone missing the bigger picture here?
Arizona spitting up blood while Callie talks about her "happy life"......
Arizona is gonna die next season.

    ReplyDelete
  36. WHAT would have like her to do? shonda didn't know who was leaving or staying  and the women who plays lexie didn't want to be on the show anymore so get mad at her not shonda

    ReplyDelete
  37.  No she not the women who plays Arizona say she's coming back next season

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hype or no hype -- this episode sucked. Christina was right - everyone get as far away from Mercy Death Hospital as you can.

    ReplyDelete
  39. At this point they could just as well pull the plug on the show. A show can only take so many deaths of fan favorites until its ratings plummets

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm done with Shonda and with Grey's Anatomy! Two seasons ago Shonda said something is going to happen beetwen Lexie and Mark that is worth waiting for! I hate Shonda Rhimes from the bottom of my heart because she killed off Lexie! Even if Chyler wanter to leave the show, Lexie could have just left the town or something, but no, you had to kill off my favourite character, you created a senseless finale and broke Mark's and Meredith's heart by killing one of the most important person to them! ....

    ReplyDelete
  41.  Killing off characters, is not the only way for an actor to leave a show. Although Shonda obviously seems to think so

    ReplyDelete
  42. Very anticlimactic. Yes lexie died an that devastated me but other than that we just watched them chill in the woods for an hour while the people at the hospital stayed oblivious and had their own not very exciting storylines playing out. Left me going "that was it?" Well and Teddy being fired but I have no feelings either way about that particular character.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Agreed! Kind of blah.

    ReplyDelete
  44.  Great, earlier today I watched the PP finale which sucked, just watched this shit feast and about to finish the GG finale. LAME lol

    ReplyDelete
  45. There should be a new poll - Which finale was worse GA or PP. I'll say PP but this was pretty close.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The whole thing was just... stupid. I won't miss Lexie, and everything else dragged. Who cares about idiot Teddy or whiny April and her new boy toy? I'm glad Cristina found her shoe, and I hope Teddy's firing sticks. But this was mostly one boring mess, even with all the over-acting. Worst. Finale. Ever.

    ReplyDelete
  47.  PP Had me the whole episode then the end just... ugh. I'm so sick of Addison.

    ReplyDelete
  48.  I agree the PP finale was pretty bad, but this was just an outright suckfest. I think Shonda has taken both shows as far as they could go, and if there is any sense left in her, she will pull the plug on both shows after next season.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Lexie died....That was extremely disappointing.  I was hoping that the plane crash was a foil to the real death.  I wonder if Teddy's really gone, has there been any word on Kim Raver's contract?  I can totally see Arizona and Mark dying in the S9 premiere, opening up spots for Alex and Jackson as attendings.  And Cristina could take Teddy's spot as the cardio surgeon. I don't know if April could repeat her 5th year but if she could, I guess she could take Lexie's spot. And then if Shonda wants to keep the cast at 14, she can bring in 4 new people to shake things up.  Though leaving Callie as a grieving single mom might be awfully cruel.

    ReplyDelete
  50. i just read Shonda's super long  tweet, but she doesn't mention WHY did Lexie die.. did the actress asked to end her contract?
    im shocked, and angry
Chyler wanting to leave is the only thing that comes to mind as to why they killed lexie off!! has she said something official?
for the record, SO GLAD TEDDY IS LEAVING they should've killed her instead of Lexie...........

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well, Shonda's tweet cleared up my Teddy question.  I'm gonna say Cristina's going to be the new Cardio attending.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Do you guys think that she will come back at some point, like a ghost, i want to believe that....

    ReplyDelete
  53. she was supossed to be the Next Grey if Meredith leave, i think shonda knew that meredith was staying a lot of time before...

    ReplyDelete
  54. live_laugh_love120818 May 2012 at 07:05

They killed Lexie!!! WTF!? She was the last person I was thinking was going to die... And then they didnt even find them and the people at the hospital didnt even know that they were in a crash!!! Ugh... That disappointed me. But I have to say I am totally calling the hospital Seattle Grace Mercy Death from now on!!! I think that might have been my favorite line, along with Christina talking about how crazy all the stuff is that happens in the hospital.

    ReplyDelete
  55. it sucks, why did Lexie had to die? what has she done wrong?? I'm soo done with Grey's really

    ReplyDelete
  56. shonda does say in the super long tweet that her and chyler talked about the finale at length and chyler came to the decision to leave and this was the end of the road for her character. So i took it as shonda gave her the option to stay or leave and she choose to leave and be with her family.
Also rumors Chyler Leigh will be on broadway come this fall.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I knew they were going to leave us hanging completely. I have a feeling the deaths aren't over yet wouldn't be surprised if Arizona and Mark don't make it. She kept it secret from everyone that she coughed up blood. You just knew Callie was jinxing herself when she said i'm happy now :(
Then Teddy leaving too, it won't be the same next year. April will be able to stay with Lexie gone now, personally i would have much preferred having Lexie stay than April. I'm still surprised they went down the hand route with Derek after Burke suffering from a hand injury as well.

    ReplyDelete
  58. The thing we didn't see coming was Teddy getting fired, but that emotional hug with Owen at the end was a totally i know why you are firing me, to keep Cristina here.
When Mer was helping Mark, did you catch the little kiss on the cheek from her now very supportive husband? as a well done and thank you for saving my BF and adopted brother.
Yes the ending seemed a little dull, but i get it they are lost in the wood's who know's if they will survive.
Which ending was worse GA or PP well i'd say PP as who the hell has sex with someone only to say yes to a pathetic i don't want to lose you marriage proposal from someone else.

  59. nellymendezcolon18 May 2012 at 09:07

this is the most bipolar poll of all time i am agree with the result so far, the running story line between the accident & the hospital  ok but lexie dye that sucks

    ReplyDelete
  60. Really a wham episode, but, it really left me expecting for the next season. I'm rather wishing that Max dies in the premiere an meets with Lexie in the elevator.

But now we know for sure that the show ends once Meredith (and Ellen) leave, since we have no back up Grey, so this show might as well end the next season.

All and all, the episode was good, I think, and the cliffhanger managed to be so low key admist that chaos, that is something to ponder. At the end, it always comes to Christina and Meredith.

    ReplyDelete
  61. That finale sent me into a spin of emotions. I loved it. So sad Lexie had to die. I hope Mark survives. OMG they are going to be stuck there until September!

    ReplyDelete
  62. LEXIE SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???? WT*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Well I won't be watching anymore. It's not just because of what happened in this episode but it's a big part of it definitely. I was already kind of fastforwardind through every ep, not very excited to watch new episodes and with Lexie dead.. No fucks given for the show. I'm not invested in any other character on the show, I've grown to dislike most of them.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Welcome to the club!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Did Derek say Rose (his gf from S4) just before the episode ended?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I saw it coming but that doesn't make it any less sad...

    ReplyDelete
  67.  I wouldn't say fault. Was what Shonda said in All the interviews misleading no i don't believe she did,she said someone would die and it did,and it did affect the group, and it will continue to affect the group, they are all in shock, and the other half do not know about it.
Could Shonda have toned it down when she gave the interviews, possibly. But it was a feeding frenzy,b

    ReplyDelete
  68. back up Grey jump 25 years ZOLA.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Honestly, I think it was probably the best episode of Grey's since the last finale, which was also just a masterpiece, it annoys me that so many people are like 'oh, I'm not watching any more' because they don't like the outcome, it really was an excellently crafted hour, and I just can't wait until it comes back. Brilliant.

    ReplyDelete
  70. now that ive come down off the initial um idk even know the feeling all i can say is
That episode was maddening, Shonda is maddening (Bailey voice)
Ill wait patiently to see how the writers come back from this.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Rachel Lockwood18 May 2012 at 12:38

I think why people seem disappointed is because the finale was hyped up.

Rumours were going around about which character was going to die, and people had expectations and hopes. At the end of the day you will always have those fan bases that are upset. If another surgeon would have died it would have been that fan base up in arms.
Yes I didn't think the finale was a good as it was hyped up to me, but it was still good, would have been even better if it as a two parter but....
There are a lot of story lines that can come from this that can make season 9 really good.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I disagree with that entirely. In the very same episode, was Teddy killed? No, but she still left the show.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Rachel Lockwood18 May 2012 at 12:41

I agree with you here. When things are over hyped people have more expectations. which makes the fall harder.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Rachel Lockwood18 May 2012 at 12:43

    great response. Agree with that.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Well I thought it was great. Maybe too overhyped, but it certainly wasn't a dull episode. The hospital scenes jarred with the plane crash scenes admittedly, but they'll be more enjoyable on rewatch and added to the suspense when we were watching the plane crash.

    ReplyDelete
  76.  Thank You Rachel!

    ReplyDelete
  77.  Agreed. With Lexie gone also Slexie ends, and my fav (but underused) character died, and Mark nrly following her - damn! *is still sobbing*

    ReplyDelete
  78. Couldn't stop crying when Lexi died, damn you Shonda

    ReplyDelete
  79. I'm not pissed, just sad. But I tried to mentally arrange myself w/ Lexie's death before I even watched the finale, and I'm just happy they gave her that scene with Mark, and Mark - how cute he was. I'll miss them together, their scenes together as well as being a couple.
For me it was a good finale, cliffhanger and all, and not out of the woods yet -  literally. Sorry for the pun, need some humor atm :p

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'm so devastated by the death of Lexie...

    ReplyDelete
  81.  Your right, they aren't out of the woods yet,and who knows what's still to come? Arizona is spitting up blood,Mark is hanging on by a thread barely breathing, Meridith's head is bleeding and we don't know how bad,and Derek's hand is badly damaged. We don't know if the fallout is even over yet?
It was sad that Lexie died, but she wanted out and really can you blame her? She has been on the back burner for what 2 seasons now, secretly pinning away for Mark,so if your going to kill someone off might as well do it with someone leaving..
I agree,it was good, not the greatest and thank goodness not over the top, that is what i thought it was going to be,so glad it wasn't..I'm glad you weren't bummed out! So now comes the wait, but soon enough we'll start getting promos for the new season, and we will pick up where we left off,and the comments will start flying once again.....   ;)

    ReplyDelete
  82.  She wanted to leave the show,so if Shonda was going to kill someone off why not Lexie? Would you rather Lexie leave and have Shonda kill someone else off who wasn't planning on leaving?

    ReplyDelete
  83.  You mean like Izzy,Denny and George,no,she is gone. She wanted to leave the show.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Haha, oh dear, all the craziness will start again!! Ahh! *gg*
And you're right, Lexie's character was so underused, I didn't like that. All the best wishes to Chyler for her next projects!
I'm just happy that Christina found her shoe *lol*

    ReplyDelete
  85. As devastated as I am about Lexie's death I gotta say that was one of the most heartbreaking and as the same time heartwarming death scenes I've ever watched. This sounds crazy, I know, but...yeah...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Rachel Lockwood18 May 2012 at 13:53

I agree with your response to the finale.

I'm glad it wasn't Arizona, mainly because Callie and her had a whole near death experience in season 7, so where it would be interesting to see how Callie would cope in the the position Arizona was in, i'm happy that she didn't die. Though saying that we don't know what S9 will bring.

    ReplyDelete
  87.  Ha! Poor Yang, always in control,so focused, nerves never getting to her...not! See,never know how one reacts to something or anything, when in shock..

    ReplyDelete
  88. now i officially hate shonda rhimes...

    ReplyDelete
  89. Indeed! If Arizona or Mark (not that I particularly care about Mark) die in the season opener, that would be a horrible way to tease us!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  90. The episode is over and I 'm still crying, you guys!Awesome finale!Lexie and Mark's scene was heartbreaking as well as Mark's "Lexie is waiting for me"....I loved Christina in this episode! She was so brave  and funny ("I found my shoe") and I loved her rant about why she's leaving SGH,b/c honestly who wouldn't want to leave that death trap?

    ReplyDelete
  91.  Chyler wanted out and thought this was the best ending for Lexie

    ReplyDelete
  92.  I agree 100% =) can't wait for it to come back.

    ReplyDelete
  93. i have to say, i agree.  i was quite unimpressed.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I cried like a little baby when lexie died, so sad! Very intense! The rest of the episode i find very disapointing.. i don't care what's happens in the hospital, i wanna know about the rest, so that was an anti climax. But i choose awesome anyway

    ReplyDelete
  95. I think I'm officially done with the emotional abuse this woman puts me through. Mostly because in the end there is no real pay off for sitting through it.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I cried so much during Lexie's death, but i loved Christina! She found her shoe, lol! I can't wait till season 9!!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. I totally understand that Chyler wanted to leave but they could have made Lexie's death better and bigger and not just in the first 10 minutes, plus I believe the acting (their reaction when lexie died) was pretty much terrible and didn't look real. I'm truly disappointed with this finale. It was basically pointless! excpet, well, finding cristina's shoe
But with all that, I can't wait for season 9!! I just can't stop watching no matter what!

    ReplyDelete
  98. I could see that happening in the series finale, like a final scene....I really could.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Chyler Leigh is beyond amazing, I am truly going to miss her.

    ReplyDelete
  100. And Arizona dies next season, she's still would have come back next season.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I don't get it. People talk about "so many deaths". Uh, last I checkd, George and Lexie are the onlymain characters ever to be killed off. Everyone else either just left, or those who died were minor characters.

And most importantly, this is a over-the-top drama television with bombs on patients, hospital shootings, main characters on the verge of death every couple of episodes, come on, this isn't anything new.

    ReplyDelete
  102. The "cliffhanger" was lame. If Tom Hanks's character in Castaway could survive 3 years on a island, these people can survive a couple of days in the woods.  We all know they all are going to get recuse. Lexie dying was obvious if you watched the promo and Teddy getting fired wasn't surprising, what was surprising is that is going to stick and Kim Raver is not coming back.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Rachel Lockwood18 May 2012 at 17:32

Definitely. But then they have a few months to write the next part, if they haven't already. And they may be looking at the fans responses to see what to do.

But tbh, I would like it if they didn't change anything else. That the rest of them get found because there are going to be a lot of stories surrounding their injuries.

Mark, is close to dying, needs attention straight away.
Derek, may have nerve damage in his arm.
Grey, infected leg probably by time they get found.
Arizona, extremely bad break of the leg that can have a lot of complications plus the coughing up blood.
And Christina dislocated arm but hey at least she found her shoe :D

And that is just the ones at the plane site, their injuries will have an affect on the hospital and loved ones. So there are a lot of possibilities and I hope really do hope they don't kill anyone else or allow someone to leave.

    ReplyDelete
  104.  how do you know she wanted to leave?? super shonda's long tweet only says that shonda and Chyler came to the desition together, but it doesn't say a reason , a good reason.
    Burke- fired
O'malley- ask to end his contract
    Izzie- ditto
    Hahn-- fired
    lexie----????

    ReplyDelete
  105. my dislike of this episode actually had nothing to do with the death. people are assuming if you didnt like the episode it was because you were upset about who did or did not die. i had been a die hard fan from literally, day 1, the first second it was on the air i was watching, my week was built around grey's days, and when that day came the hours could not go by fast enough.  but, this last season, and possibly starting from the prior season, it just isnt there for me anymore. this season, i would literally get to the next week and realize, i had not even watched the prior week's episode yet.  half the time i would fast forward through half of the episode, because half of the people on it i just didnt care about.  i actually did like lexie, but her death didnt bother me, and the only thing that made me sad about it was meredith's reaction to it.  otherwise, i didnt really care, and that is from someone who actually did like lexie.  it had a few good scenes including mer stitching up derek's arm.  but honestly the whole thing dragged.  i didnt care a bit about any of the scenes going on at the hospital, and at the end, i literally said, um, ok.  thats it?  so, those who loved it can jump on me, but that is my honest, personal assessment of greys, for me, at this point.  and it truly makes me sad that i feel that way because this show was what once got me through difficult weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Lol! Owen...I know, right!?! That's how they end the episode. As if so many people didn't think Owen was a terrible Chief, let alone person. I think Chief Webber should get his job back. He SO would've been on the ball about this. Seeing that clip from when Webber was Chief made me really nostalgic. Owen couldn't have spare a few min. to listen to the messages? Geez! Then again, his secretary should've mentioned something like, oh I don't know, "the other hospital is wondering where the surgeons are" or "the surgeons didn't make it to the hospital yet". Would've started the search sooner. Just sayin'...

Mark - There's still time to kill him off by the season premiere this Fall. He's in pretty bad shape.

  107. That was hilarious! Yang was happier about that than finding Derek! Hahaha! Good comedic break in the middle of the episode.

  108. It was probably the best death Grey's has done. Simple, but heartbreaking. More preferable to how George died imo. And not mindless 'shock value' ones, like the shooting.

  109. It seems like the deaths aren't over yet, doesn't it? Mark is in really bad shape. He's barely conscious near the end. Arizona's coughing up blood is pretty bad too. Meredith's head injury could be worrisome or minor, no way to tell while they're in the woods. The only people I can tell that likely won't die is Christina and Derek. Although, it's super sad that Derek will likely never be the #1 neurosurgeon again, if he can even be a surgeon again with just one good hand. It IS remarkably similar to Burke's injury. Recycling storylines is never a good thing, for any show.

  110. I agree. Especially since Mark said "Lexie's waiting for me". That was so bittersweet. Mark dying after that would make sense plot-wise. Maybe give a Mark-Lexie reunion in the afterlife for their fans? I'm sure some would appreciate that. I'll be watching the season premiere to see if Grey's gives a good wrap up to this storyline.

  111. Very poor SF, not because of the death, the episode in general was just poor...there was nothing thrilling/exciting about it...I found myself asking "is it over yet" which normally I would never do! It felt lazy in my opinion and that is a lot coming from me, I usually would never say a bad word about G.A as I love it! I hope S9 brings us back to the old Grey's :( Also I'm going to miss Lexipedia :(

  112. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LEXIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  113. Whine whine, bitch bitch, moan moan... The actress playing Lexie wanted to move on. GET OVER IT. If you're not going to watch the show because of one character leaving then good riddance.

    ReplyDelete
  114.  If she didn't say then i misunderstood and i'm sorry,i thought she said she wanted to leave.I'm pretty sure that was said, let me try to find it,i'll get back to you either way..

  115. If Arizona was going to die, she would've already. Shonda spoke about the finale afterwards and stated that she would miss both Chyler Leigh and Kim Raver, which heavily indicates they're the only actors off the show. If Jessica Capshaw was going to leave, they would've had it happen in the finale, not a premiere.

  116. Lexie is really not a fan favourite. Mark and Lexie as a couple were a fan favourite, but Lexie independently has never been one of the more interesting characters, apart from season 4 really...

    ReplyDelete
  117. You know? if they want to do a complete retool of the show, tit could be interesting, but most shows don't survive that.

What I would like to see, it's a future episode with Zola and the batch of interns in 25 years. (One of them being the daughter of of one of Lexie's other sisters, that looks just like Lex :3)

  118. seriously I wish it was arizona instead.

  119. I agree, I kept watching Buffy after Tara died!

    ReplyDelete
  120.   And what do you base this on? For many people Lexie was a fan favorite. She might have gained more fans because she was seen as the underdog, everyone wanting her and Mark together, but that's not the reason they liked her..

    ReplyDelete
  121. Oh, and yeah, that Lexie died in the first 15 minutes was good on it's own. It was not the episode centering around her death, her death was just an accident (a cruel accident) but it is more honest to the whole situation. At least she got the chance to say goodbye to Mark, and that is a lot less that people in  real life get.

But at first, seeing that Lexie died so soon into the episode, I thought the episode would show different outcomes with different people dying, and at the end the cliffhanger would have been who died. I kinda like my idea better :D

  122.   I was wondering where you have been? I haven't seen you in  awhile, hope all is well!

  123. hey yea ive been on vacation for 2weeks no tv so now i got back just in time for that episode.

    ReplyDelete
  124. The shoe bit and her telling Arizona to shut up were the only highlights of the episode... and maybe the fact that the gun didn't work - that's just ridiculous.

  125.  Ha! What an episode to come back to! This site was crazy mad all week,no for almost 2 weeks now speculating who was going to die, some mad house..plus the Upfronts all week have been keeping everyone busy...At least all of this will keep you busy for awhile, glad your back, but a 2 wk vacation w/o tv is a nice change, but only for so long,i would imagine. I'll let you get back to catching up,we'll speak soon i'm sure!!  :)

It would have been better if we did not know who renewed their contracts.

  127.  lol yea it i saw bits and pieces of the craziness when i would get wifi.  It was a lil challenging not watching tv for 2 wks but i made it through. still catching up on other shows . so far behind

  128. i get the whole point of the episode, and the whole leaving things to the last minute because things change in a heart beat. But there are too many stupid things, like how can they let the plane take off with all the faults, not to mention the flare gun not working. Add that to, surely there was a mayday call when they went down or started to have trouble. Az was coughing up blood at ones stage, so she defo has internal injuries. We know derek, mer and christina are ok, cos they have only just signed a 2 year contract. I think it could have been better writtern.. but some fans r never satisfied

  129. Whatever Castle's and HIMYM's finale make me feel GA destroy it. I never cry, but seeing lexie die and then Mark saying "Lexie is waitting for me" broke me. It wasn't the best story line, but the episode made cry and laugh (christina and his shoe) almost at the same time so it had to be great, right?

Can't believe lexie is dead and now HOUSE is ending.... it's too much.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I didn't think it was as good as it could've been. Season 5 and season 6 finales were far more heartbreaking/intense IMO. And come on, I totally hear Cristina, how often can they die in terrible circumstances? The bus accident and the cancer were ok, shit happens in life, but then they had the shooting and now this? not to mention the bomb episode, the Meredith nearly drowning, the Callie/Arizona car accident, I mean seriously? It stopped being believable a long time ago.

Also, while the plane crash scenes were good, the rest of the episode sucked. They totally failed to come up with a storyline for all those who stayed at the hospital. I HATE Jackson and April together, but well, now that Lexie's dead I think they're gonna become a couple sooner or later. And I totally missed an Alex/Morgan scene. They were building what seemed to be an interesting relationship with these two all season long just to completely drop it in the finale. Blah. I expected more, maybe it's time to say goodbye to this show.

    ReplyDelete
  131. You know, it's a good thing they cut back and forth between the crash site and the hospital, even if it was a little jarring and abrupt at times. I needed some time to recover from the tears that were streaming down my face every now and then. Lexie's death scene pretty much punched me in the heart repeatedly. And I can't believe they left the ending up in the air... I didn't see that coming.

I'm glad Cristina addressed all of the things these residents have been through... I realize that this isn't real life, but seriously... these people have been through more than their fair share of crappy luck and near-death experiences.

  132. dissapointing episode. :(

    ReplyDelete
  133. Not going to lie. I totally saw it coming, because Arizona couldn't die because of what happened to Callie in season 7 and Ellen, Patrick and Sandra all renewed their contracts for two more seasons so that left Lexie and Mark but I just had his feeling that it was going to be Lexie. AND PEOPLE STOP WITH THE APRIL HATE! Her and Jackson are just so amazing with eachother! <3 Shonda Rhimes is an amazing writer because think about, it's beacuse of her that you guys love Lexie so much and it's becaue of her you are all so pissed that she died, don't get me wrong I bawling like a baby almost the whole episode, this is the same thing that happened with George, he was one of the most loved characters on the show and I'm people were extremly pissed off about him dying too but this is what keeps us watching the show and I love Shonda for creating this <3 ok that's all!
