The beginning of Props was a lot of fun... the cast had to have a blast getting a chance to do their interpretation of someone else's character! They all did a pretty great job, too. It was also nice to see Rachel humbled a bit. I'm glad she's not giving up on her dream, which I thought was really unrealistic last week, but it's great to see that she's not as overconfident anymore. Here scenes with Tina were pretty great. Also, the scene between Beiste and Puck after the fight was one of my favorite this season. It's rare for us to see Puck let go like that.
Nationals was pretty great, too. But did anyone else laugh when the announcer called Lindsay Lohan "America's sweetheart"? That bit of humor aside, the musical numbers were all pretty fantastic, which I suppose I should have expected since they were supposed to be Nationals caliber. The one song that particularly stood out, though, was Rachel's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now". It actually gave me chills, and was probably one of my favorite performances on the show to date. I can't wait to hear the full version.
One thing was strange to me, though - wasn't the glee club's triumphant return to McKinley a little out of place? I mean, it just seemed like a bit of an abrupt turnaround... I half expected it to be a dream sequence of what they were expecting. Still, I really enjoyed both hours of the show, and look forward to the finale.

This was the #Glee that I loved when I watched the pilot after #Idol in May 2009. The body-swap sequence cracked me up!

ReplyDeleteIt was beautiful, funny and I had a few tears..
ReplyDeleteThe body swap was funny, and their Nationals performance was good. Good that they're ending on a high, but I doubt I'll be back for S4.
