I loved it! Although it wasn't exactly the talk I was hoping for, at least Castle and Beckett had a mature, adult conversation. It was driving me nuts how they weren't talking to each other.
Tonight's episode was AAAAWWWEEEESSSOOOOMMMEEEE (sorry I'm a little wound up from tonight's episode and next weeks EPIC promo lol)!
Loved that Alexis was just tricking Castle into thinking that she was all grown up and didn't want to play with him any more so that she could just get one up on him (by the way how cool was it that she did it by rappelling). I like the show for a lot of different reasons, but I've always loved the moments that Alexis and Castle share and tonight was no exception. Glad that she chose Columbia which means she'll be sticking around next season.
And Castle was too funny with his obsession about zombies. Nathan Fillion always does fantastic at playing the scenes where Castle acts like a kid in the world's biggest candy shop (his eyes and face just light up with such enthusiasm) and it made me laugh so hard. It made me smile too when Ryan asked him whether he actually believed in zombies and he said no, but he believed in annoying Beckett.
It was also nice to see Beckett and Castle resolve some of their issues. They didn't really talk, but through subtext and underlying meanings they came to an understanding and paved the way for an actual conversation next week (or so I hope).
It was interesting how they incorporated zombies into the episode. I don't know if the zombie role play culture is real, but I would imagine that it is. The only thing I didn't like was the way that they got the confession. I've worked in law enforcement for several years and it was way too obvious that that was entrapment. But it's TV and I know a lot is portrayed incorrectly in TV, so I'll let it slide (especially because Castle freaking out Esposito was way too funny).
Anyway it was a hilarious episode that set the stage for next week and it was nice to get a break from the angst of the last few weeks. I vote awesome episode!
Ok, that was fabulous. Pure fun, and with some glorious Caskett moments! Not sure who enjoyed this one more: Castle, or the audience. And oh, that promo for next week!
I'm SO glad Castle and Beckett finally talked. It's about time they got over themselves, and their wires had been crossed for way too long. It was an awesome episode overall - I loved the Castle/Alexis stuff, and Castle's zombie obsession was entertaining... this one was a lot of fun, and next week is going to be so intense!
this episode go far away from the word awesome covers all aspect of human behavior traditions, friendship, love, dark side actions or unlikely preference in do strange things (zombie crowd thing) without harm anyone very cool & scripted with class.
It hit all the right cords: emotionally, comically, procedurally.... Excellent episode. Brought the season full cricle and set us up for the finale pretty nicelly. Excellent episode!!!!
I was surprised by this episode - I was worried it would be too light but it hit the right notes. Some nice Castle/Alexis scenes and some great movement in the Castle/Beckett relationship with Castle realising that Beckett was working on her issues and was nearly ready to move past her mother's death and her own shooting.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
