Yesterday we started our new Reader Predictions polls with the NBC Shows (You can still vote here). Today it's the turn of FOX, whose new trailers we posted last night.

We'll be doing this for ABC, CW, and CBS over the next few days after they have released their schedules and videos.

So vote below on how you think each show will fare next season.

Let us know in the comments which shows you think will be renewed/canceled for 2012/13.

Existing Show

  4. the only new shows I voted renew are: The Following and the Mindy Project, with a possibilty for Ben and Kate...

  5. The renewals and cancellations were pretty much the same for me.

  6. New shows: renew Ben and Kate, The Goodwin Games, The Following. Cancel Mob Doctor and The Mindy Project.
Existing shows: renew Glee, American Dad, The New Girl and cancel the others.
These are not necessarily what I want, but what I think. Have loved Raising Hope, but it may be running out of steam.

  8. renewed: bones, the following , raising hopes, new girl, american dad and the cleveland show.

I'm hesitant about Glee but I voted cancelled.
The only shows that I find interesting on Fox so far are "the following" and of course "fringe"

I'm not from the us so I wonder, Does Fox have a target audience?
With cartoons and comedy like raising hope, goodwin games, or ben&kate it seems more a "family" network.

I need a new "xfiles" or "fringe" as next year will be the last :-/

  10. Here's my based on pure speculation, probably 8-% wrong, what can you tell from a trailer prediction:

Ben + Kate - cancelled by 13 episodes.  Part of the country will love Ben part will hate him, most won't care enough to watch.  They have to play the sibling bond up if they want to keep the comedy from being obnoxious.

Goodwin Games - renewed despite low ratings.  We've got a three shot at a character being so annoying that the show is unwatchable but it has a slightly different twist with the puzzle aspect that might get people to try it.  This one will live or die on word of mouth.

The Following - risky since they are trading off Kevin Bacon's reputation just like they traded of Keifer Sutherland's with Touch.  I think the results will be similar.  FOX will want to renew it despite low ratings.  The question will be whether Bacon wants to continue or not.  If he does, The Following replaces Touch next season.

Mindy Project - cancelled but that's just because I thought it was the worst new show trailer of the bunch.  That means this will be the one they actually renew.  Well that and it's paired with New Girl.

Mob Doctor - cancelled.  It will start with decent numbers but then fall off as people lose interest in its serialized nature.

I make no prediction on animation since I have never seen any of those shows.

Bones - renewed due to the state of the network.  I see them announcing a final season after next season.  Ratings will stay relatively flat throughout the season which makes it one of their more predictable shows.

Glee - renewed.  Barely.  Depends on how they can work the graduating students back into the mix.  FOX may regret not doing that NYC spin-off with Kurt and Rachel.  Many people would watch that show. Others would return to Glee if they left.

New Girl - renewed.  Likely to be one of their biggest comedies and be used to build another comedy next year.

Raising Hope - renewed even if ratings continue to decrease because it will be one season away from syndication numbers (88 episodes) and that's where the big bucks come.

Touch - canceled because they won't need Keifer Sutherland if they have Kevin Bacon.

  12. how come the simpsons and Family Guy arent on the poll?

    ReplyDelete
  13. They have already been renewed for next season

    ReplyDelete
  14. oh right i knew that for the simpsons but family guys only been renewed for another season i thought? meaning the 2013-2014 season is still in question?

  15. Oh,I was under the impression it had gotten renewed as well.

    I'll try to double check

  16. New shows renewed-The Following,

Established shows- Bones,Raising Hope an Touch. I'm sure there will be others but honestly next season sucks for Fox. I doubt Touch will make it beyond next season if that.Mod Doctor,i just don't see it having staying power, but i could be wrong...pretty pitiful  2012-2013 season....

  17. Fox is really hard to predict imo. They seem more adventurous than the other networks, so their shows tend to skirt the low ratings territory a lot. This group of shows will likely all end up borderline again.

  18. Fox is really hard to predict imo. They have a lot of "cult-following"-type of shows, so their shows tend to skirt the low ratings territory a lot. This group of shows will likely all end up borderline again.

  19. The Following seems like it has good quality going for it. But, it really would depend on the follow-through. I wonder if they have enough material and good writing to make a series out of that premise. It could get repetitive and old fast. Like, a depressing version of "The Mentalist". I agree. Fox doesn't have a very good upcoming group of new shows.

  20.  I felt like i was picking the least worst out of the worst..that should say it all!  It seems like all the shows i don't watch make it,so Mob Doctor will probably make it and The Following which i will probably like will be cancelled. But really until the show starts we don't know which ones we will stick with and which one we dump..

    ReplyDelete
  21.  Yep. I agree with you here too. We'll have to see come Fall.

  22. Renewed Bones and Glee although I'm not sure of either XD

  23. I think The Mindy Project and The Following will be OK

Glee could get cancelled if the ratings really drop and it is taking a big risk with the splitting the storylines. I mean it will probably be safe but a girl can dream.

  24. I am fairly sure American Dad and The Cleveland Show are done after this season.

  25. Bones!! Definitely, if the entire season is As solid as the latest season finale.
