  1. I was extremely interested in this show when I first heard about it, but I didn't expect to love OUAT as much as I do. It's now one of my favorite shows, and I'm so happy it's doing well.

  2. I find the show enjoyable enough, but I mostly watch for Ginnifer Goodwin.

Yes, I am indeed that shallow.

I remember when it first started and I expected it to be this huge flop. I never had intentions of watching it but I did out of curiosity. Once Upon a Time and Revenge were such pleasant surprises.

  4. I have to admit I hated the pilot. I still think its the weakest episode to ever be created in this show.

However with every episode, the show keeps getting infinitely better and they do not fall into the same horrible things the shows of the genre usually do.

Now the only thing in the show that I even remotely can hate is Henry. I find most of the characters(especially emma and snow white) engaging, unique, multi-layered and complex.

  5. I'm not going to lie...initially, and for a long time, I was not interested in this show. Sure, it was by Kitsis and Horowitz and has a great cast, but the whole 'fairytale' angle was completely lost on me - I just didn't like the sound of it to be honest. But slowly, my interest grew as did OUAT's popularity here, and just before it premiered here in the UK I decided to check out the pilot. 'Just the pilot', I said, then I'll wait until it comes on UK TV and I'll maybe tune in every week.

2 days later, I had watched up to The Stable Boy and the hiatus was just as excruciating to me as it was to the original fans. It just goes to show how your expectations of a show can be so, so wrong, in the best way. Given that it came from some of the brains of Lost, I should never have doubted them.

  6. It's definitely the best new show in a long time (in my opinion).

I don't know, I kind of disagree on the character thing... I hate Emma and Henry, specially Henry. Not only are they annoying as hell, they're the weakest of the bunch. Although, they're not focusing that much on Henry and Emma is sort of interesting now, sort of...

  8. Very interesting read. I was a total skeptic at first, I have to admit. I rolled my eyes when I heard the premise, and had pretty low expectations. I'm SO glad I got over myself and decided to watch! It's definitely my favorite new show of 2011.

  9.  Unpopular opinion here: I was extremely excited for this show, but I ended up leaving it. It was one of my top new shows to watch because I love fairytales, the LOST writers and Jennifer Morrison is amazing. But it turns out Grumpy's episode was it for me. I can't even say why I don't like the show as much as I thought I would, but I think it's because it's too cheesy sometimes, and I was expecting something a little darker. Plus some twists were just cringe worthy for me, like Rumple being the beast. This show just lacks something for me, maybe some more action and more serious stuff. Sometimes it's boring, like the Storybrooke storylines. Oh, and I also LOVE Snow/Charming but I can't stand David/Mary Margareth. Weird. Anyway, I wish the show the best, though, but for now I'm out.

  10. I fell in love with the show before the pilot even ended. Then as Emma started changing i started  falling out of love with the show, now i'm  just at the point of liking it.For now i guess its better than not liking it at all..

  11. I loved the idea of the show from the beginning! I'm so happy it became such a success!

  12. I started watching the show in January (caught up in two days). I saw a lot of buzz about it so I gave it a try and became hooked. That said, I think the show has some of its weak points - but Lana Parrilla's acting and EQ/Regina's complexity is just the kind of thing I absolutely adore and that keeps me watching. Robert Carlyle is mind blowing, too, and Ginnifer Goodwin plays a very interesting Snow White. I hope by s2 the show will even out - it certainly has a lot of actors that elevate the material (and there are scenes/episodes that are well written).

I was expecting something darker as well. Probably because Edward Kitsis said "we're gonna tell stories that are dark," and, "we're not doing the 12-year-old kid version of this."  .

Depends, what's considered a long time?

  16. At least for me, its the best new show since Buffy went off the air.

I'd say thats quite a long time :)

  17. The article gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, knowing that so many people tuned in and took a chance and THEN stayed hooked.  It's so wonderfully preposterous, with this colorful, cheesy, wacky, touching, and unexpected show just tapping into a clearly passionate audience. Many thanks to the creators of the show and the viewers who stuck with it, for making this such a fun ride.
