  1. I think that Barney and Robin storyline will be very rushed next season:
Barney and Quinn break up, Robin dates another guy, Robin dumps that guy, Barney and Robin get back together, Barney proposes to Robin, and Barney and Robin get married.

This is all too much for one season.

  2. I've just about had it, If the Mother isn't revealed  next season, I'm out.

  3. I love the show with pure passion and I identify as Ted almost in every situation, but I am with you. It has been too long and we have to at least know more about her. 7 seasons of delaying it is enough. :)

  4. i completly agree with you. they GAVE US NOTHING this eason about the mother. i remember in the early seasons, when ted was dating rache bilson und they said her roommate was the mother...

  5. And that's gonna be one more season focused on How Barney Got Married. I'm so disappointed with this show.
How long is it since we had a Ted storyline related to the mother? Season 5 maybe?

  6. Agree with all of you, this show has become more about Barney's love life than Ted's. The show needs to get back to basics and the Titular reasoning of the whole story.

  7. What more do you guys expect, they told you that Ted meets the mother at Barney's wedding, so of course the shows main focus is Barney, for now.

  8. So this proves Barney/Robin get married, so yay for that! And Victoria's going to be around next season? Yay!

I can't wait for season eight, tbh. And Ted's journey will culminate with meeting the Mother at Barney and Robin's wedding. God, it feels so good to say that and actually have it be true.

  9. I know I'm pretty much going to echo everything that's being said below, but I really do hope they get back to the main focus of the show next season. Yes, I understand that Ted meets the mother at Barney's wedding, but how much longer are we going to have to wait? He won't tell us when we see the wedding again, and I'm wondering how many clues they'll actually drop along the way. I just hope they get moving quickly, because as much as I love Barney, this show isn't supposed to be about HIS journey.

  10. I really hope that Ted is the focus next season. Also, looking at the Vulture interview, they should be discussing whether a relationship could happen within the 24 episodes, or 48 episodes. Not whether it's a season or two left for the show. For the most part I am actually leaning towards 48 episodes, just because Barney's relationship with Quinn was shoved down our throats within such a short period of time.

Have Quinn around with Barney, have Robin date someone else, then have them together for a long time before a wedding is discussed. Don't have everything happen in 24 episodes and the audience can't catch their breath. (After writing all that, I am now fully convinced that the writers will have them date other people for most of season 8, then throw them together in some awkward way. Don't know why, it's just my faith in them)

Seriously with Ted?! No wonder he talks about his friends so much with his kids, cause he keeps revisiting the same old stories about himself! Close every "door" to his past and please open a few new ones because he does not stop going in circles. I remember thinking the moment Ted meets the mother would be such a big thing, but now I just think it will be an off-handed comment while describing the time Barney married Robin.....

  11. My guess is that Barney and Robin are NOT going to marry eachother. They are gonna get married at the same time but to different ppl : a double wedding. As Babar Suhail said, they can't rush through all this mess Robin is  gonna get into. Her next relationship is going to be serious as they hinted. Plus, they spent to much time with this 3rd love story of Barney and Quinn's to turn it into another failure.

  12. The interviews pretty much confirmed that it's Robin and Barney getting married. Plus, if it's awkward for exes to go to each others weddings, how much more awkward would it be to get married in the same church at the same time?  Why even do that?  So everybody can compare notes at the reception?  You know, "Robin likes it when you give her orchids instead of roses" or "You wouldn't know it, but Barney's really more of a butt guy."  Then Barney's former stripper wife can give Barney's ex-love a few tips for the wedding night while Barney tells Robin's new hubby about how he slept with Robin the last time they were both in serious relationships.  And for the wedding favors, everybody gets a coupon for one free therapy session.

Seriously, though, Barney got engaged to a girl he met like eight episodes ago, and that would the world's meanest fake out to all the fans who love Barney and Robin.  Not having them end up together is one thing, but to have Barney get engaged to someone else, then make everyone think that Robin is the bride, then take it away again?  This isn't Gossip Girl.  Now, I also think this is going to be kind of a rush job to get them where they need to be, and yes, I also want the focus to be a bit more on Ted next season which would make it even harder to make that happen, but while the idea of a double wedding is actually starting to sound kinda amusing, I don't see it happening.

Love your middle name, though. :D

  13.  yeah, they seem to be saying they will get married. But we don't know if it stays that way... I really hope it does... And also, I hope if a 9th season is given, they let Ted meet the mother at 8 finale and the last one can be about Ted's happily-ever-after. That sort of thing never makes for a good story, but as fans, we have waited for Ted to meet his wife for such a long time, I hope they make a season, or least 13 episodes - like a short season - or even just a TV movie sort of thing about what happens next.

  14. hey, and could Robin's new love interest be that guy in that one episode where Barney takes his dad to a club and she sees some guy and Ted totally ruins it for her? The narrator Ted says there's more to come from that story...
