    I really don't think it's going to be Arizona dying now, I mean they could pull the whole internal bleeding thing, but she's a surgeon, I think one of them over the course of the episode would notice, and I mean it would use be one of those things that I would think to be a cop out. Someone who is already on the floor dying isn't that much of a surprise, it would be more dramatic if Mark or someone who is just running around to die of  internal bleeding. 
    That being said, this episode already looks well done.

    Yeah, Shonda does like to go with the unexpected. But to be honest with you Derek, Arizona and Lexie all seem too obvious at this point. I would guess Mark but he's on the safe list according to Ausiello, so I think it has to be someone at the hospital.

    So funny when Arizona stopped screaming and then just got up and sat next to the plane. I thought she was trapped! But I'm pretty sure she will be trapped, I think the pilot will start to shake the plane again (as he did in the beginning, when Arizona looked so worried and told him to stop that) and I think the plane will roll to le right, where Arizona is sitting, trapping her.

    I think Ausiellos theory might be true, that it's someone back at the hospital, and ,maybe April commits suicide, cause she's in such a bad place right now, but I hope it's not her, cause I'm totally shippin her and Jackson.

    I can't tell much of the ep just by these 7 min!! Each time I watch or read something more get more confusing and honestly don't know whom is going to die, but I still stick with my guess: Lexie!
    And was not cool what they did with Arizona, they should at least check on her! Ok that her screaming was terrifying, but scream at her to shut up was a little too much, even for Yang!

    Oh dear! o0 This episode is already killing me! I just don't know who might die, it could even be Mark (the way he's holding his side and is also short of breath). And what the heck did Derek do to his hand???
    And I agree, poor Arizona!
    The only "light" moment was the pilot, showing some black humor.

    I too thought it would be Lexie, however, we normally are in shock at who Shonda kills off (i.e, O'Malley on Grey's and Dell on Private). The shoe comment with Christina also made me consider her as well. However, we haven't heard anything about Alex Karev. Does anyone think she may shock us with that one? I can not wait, the suspense is killing me!!!!

     Its quite possible its more than one person that dies this season.I think April commits suicide,and someone from the crash,and we know its either Arizona or Lexie..or both,Shonda did say early on it could be more than one person.

    I know they aren't exactly rational right now but they are still surgeons when one of your friends is screaming like that surely one of them would have made sure she was alright. I understand they are all more emotionally invested in Derek and Lexie but they don't hate Arizona.

     Oh definitely i agree! Poor Derek he has gone through more then anyone else there it seems! I didn't think they would go with the hand considering they already went through hand problems with Burke,but i guess there wasn't much else they could injure Derek with that could potentially ruin his career?

    I've had the misfortune of causing TWO compound fractures to people in two different sports. Don't know about the shock factor but neither stopped screaming until the ambulance arrived.

    My money is on Arizona for two reasons: 1) They're making Lexie look the worst. 2) It looks like Arizona is in better shape but the infection is going to get her. And not right away, either. I think she'll see Torres one last time before she takes her dirt nap.

    Arizona's constant scream was annoying and not helping the situation. Different people have different tolerances to pain and different reactions to shock. Silencing Arizona is a smart move. Makes it easier to hear cries or noises for help, like Lexie's tapping. They didn't ignore her. Arizona was accounted for. They went searching for people who were missing.

    It wasn't personal. They were in a crisis situation. In a crisis, medical personnel know to access the damage first, then triage. They knew where Arizona was. They had to account for the rest of the missing passengers.

    Yeah, I agree with laura on this. It was personal or mean. They are medical professionals. They are acting appropriately to the situation, given the understandable shock everyone would be in. See my above comments for more info.

    I can understand all of that and that she did point in the direction of Derek to help them out but at that point she had not sat up. It's not the best example but in Sixth Sense Mel Gibsons wife when she has been hit by the truck she is only alive because of the truck pinning her to the tree. 
    The same could have happened to Arizona her entire bottom half of her body could have been crushed and the sheer weight preventing her from passing out.
    The point i was trying to make was that they glanced in her direction they didn't go and give her the once over, There are 3 walking and 2 missing. Christina shouting was harsh to see but completely within her character and yes as playdoc pointed out was helpful to hear others cries.

    OMG! I wouldn't be surprised if they first kill Lexie during this finale and let us on a cliffhanger about Arizona and may be Derek's lives until next season!
    Anyway, as always the cast is really acting great, I could barely watched it, I felt it so true! I can't wait for this!

    One intangible right now is I don't think we know where the plane went down. Don't know if Seattle Grace is the closest hospital or trauma center. What if the rescue helicopter carrying doctors from SG crashed on the way to the crash site?

     Boom! Well i gotta tell ya that is one thing i didn't think about! I figured Arizona even though she looks beat up but ok, i don't believe she is.After my bypass i started to crash after coming out of it "fine" so Arizona sitting up means nothing in itself. Same for Lexie,we'll see...Now that you introduced this bit of sunshiny  possibilities,that would be something wouldn't it,"they survived the plane crash only to die in a helicopter crash on the way to the hospital...  the irony is not lost..man that would suck...

     Sometimes the worst part is the anticipation. But now not only do we have the anticipation that's been growing over the past few weeks but the added anticipation knowing its not going to be quick.This story is going to unfold on Shonda's time,her way so i think this will  not be an easy hour to get through,even if only one character dies.

    I keep thinking that Callie is the one who's going to die.(i REALLY hope i'm wrong)
    - Unexpected death = no one on the plane
    - Shonda refuses to say something about Calzona in the finale
    - Arizona telling her "Don't ever leave me"
    - Callie narrating
    - beloved character, during the table read everyone was crying = the originals are safe and they have renewed their contracts, this leaves Callie and Mark (Ausiello said he's safe)

    Arizona has still a minimum chance to be the one. But i definitely think it'll be Callie and i wonder how will she die? Shonda said it will be dark and twisty.I really have no clue.

    Arizona seems to be safe for now but I'm not so sure about Lexie. After watching this I got the feeling that it's Lexie who is going to die. I mean a wrack on your lower body. She'll bleed out as soon as it is lifted if her legs aren't mush already. And Derek, I seriously hope he didn't just cut off his hand. But then again he must still have his hand if he'll be still in the show otherwise he'll be just boring and of no use. I mean Derek the houseman aka. exsurgeon who is plain boring and better of dead.

    Alright, I'm no way nearer as to who will die or who won't, but if - IF - Lexie will die, on the site, (and it really, really looks that way) then I won't like it (cause I'm one of those rare Slexie-fans out there, and I always hoped for a happily ever after) BUT I can live with it when they'll handle it in a good way. Her sister is on the scene as well as Mark, so at least she won't be alone and it'll give some drama to Mark's and Mer's storyline next season. If Arizona dies - and I won't like this either, cause she's one of my fav doctors! - she better be with Callie when it happens. Okay, I never thought that Shondas' crazy and mean writing would get me again THIS much after 8 seasons, but it DID happen (I'm not proud of it!), now could it just be Thursday (for me Friday) so that we can get closure? The Grey's fan base is completely out of control: on Twitter, here, everywhere. Anybody else starting to get paranoid?  *lol*

    But Arizona and Addison aren't even in the same specialty. Addison is a double board certified neo-natal and OBGYN  (she deals with preemies and pregnant women) where as Arizona is in Pediatrics (babies-18 year olds)

    Shonda has this "pattern" that when i character is going to die he is ignored through all the season, it was this way with George and with Dell ( private practice) ,  in this season ( and the previous)  and  Lexie was kinda ignored , not like george was , but we've had much less moments with her than with rest of the cast . i hope i'm wrong

    Holly shit! I barely watched it. It was so painful to watch this characters with whom we've been for so many years in situation like this. It's worse than the ferryboat, worse than the shooting. For me it will probably be the least watchable finale of Grey's (maybe even of every tv series I've ever seen).

    I don't think Derek smacks or crunches his hand, his finger's are still moving so the nerve's are fine. I think he more likely hit's the metal with the rock, and as the blood rushes back into his hand the pain would be dreadful. Think of pin's and needles just a million times worse, plus the metal could also have cut him as he smacked down on it.

     I had forgotten they were not in the same specialty. However, in terms of hierarchy, the head of department can be any specialty, as long as the other specialties are represented in his/her department. Do we know in what specialty they did their boards? Alex, in particular, didn't he do neo-natal?

    Well i hope this promo/clip is misleading and no one on the plane dies. Those are the best characters in the show imo and if they take away any of the non original characters i'm scared i might get bored next season, which is sad because i love this show.

     When this first came out i immediately said Richard & Derek and i would have stayed at least with Richard,until i heard he re-uped on his contract,same for Derek.So i took Shonda word and decided it would have to be Arizona.But thinking about Fringe and how they faked us out,i'm starting to think Shonda's doing the same thing!
      I'll say this Thank Goodness its Thursday,only 13 hours to go!!!! I swear if we had to wait another week i would have been banging my head against the wall!

     Yeah,why the hell would anyone do that to there hand before trying,or waiting for someone to help? Makes no sense what so ever,and that is really an insult to the fans as well as the actor.

    Usually Sandra Oh is a phenomenal actress but in that first minute and a half it is cringe worthy. Even Ellen's acting is below her usual standard.
