Gossip Girl is getting a new hottie.

And he's way more than just a good-looking face—it's Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta!

I can exclusively reveal that…

Saporta, 32, will make his acting debut in the CW series' upcoming season finale on May 14.

"Acting is something that has been of interest to him for a while," a source reports. "So when he was offered the role, he jumped at it."

But to keep things pretty much spoiler-free, the source stayed mum on story details. "I can tell you that he's playing a character that is not a musician," the informer said.

    I don't really know much about him, but I suppose it could be cool. And I'm glad they're not bringing him on as a musician - that always seems cheap somehow when they bring on a musician, assign him/her a random character, and have them sing.

    YESS. Actually a couple years ago, in an interview, Gabe said that he loved Gossip Girl and chucks "I'm  chuck Bass" line and blair and chuck too. He said he watched it all the time. I'm glad he got a role in a show that he likes. :)
