  1. Well, the question may sound stupid to you but what does this mean for Fringe exactly?

  2. it means you crazy fans get 20 more seasons while shows like awake get cancelled :(

    1. Don't blame us if your show didn't get enough viewers.

  3. It means nothing other than the fact that another channel now has the rights to show the episodes.  Does it mean anything for it's existence after the final 13 episode season?  Nope.

  4. 1.  Fringe getting renewed has NOTHING to do with Awake getting cancelled (I mean come on they're not even on the same network)
    2.  No it doesn't.  All it means is that another network is allowed to air episodes of Fringe (repeats).  The show is still ending after it's 13-episode run next season.

  5. Wow. At least Variety sounded a little more enthusiastic about it.

  6.  Umm lets see aside from Warner Brothers making big bucks from now till eternity, and giving Anna, Josh, John, and Astrid a weekly or monthly check....it means nothing,Oh wait,it also means where ever you travel you will forever be able to find Fringe. Warner Brothers is also looking into streaming it so maybe Netflix,Hulu or another streaming co. will get it.Anywhere, any time Fringe sounds pretty good to me.:)

I'm still hoping they decide, or are at least open to making a movie somewhere down the road.

  7. Well, it's good that some of the syndication money is starting to come in; but this sucks for me personally, because I don't get the Science channel.   :(

    ReplyDelete
  8. It doesn't mean that at all.  Fringe is done after this season.  All it means is that people can catch reruns on TV if they have this station I have never heard of.  This is not a feather in the cap of WB either.  I bet they are hoping to sell to someone bigger.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I doubt WB is very excited to sell Fringe to Discovery Science.  I have basic cable and I don't get that channel.  I would say a large percentage of the population does not so it can't be making very much money for the WB, at least not compared to other syndication deals.  They have to still be shopping around for other possibilities.  I would say far more people would watch if it does indeed go to Netflix streaming.

DISCOVERY.....[.W.H.A.T.]...sound promising possible more budget the series new a new boost

  11. I have DirectTv and the science channel is 284.  http://science.discovery.com/
I watch it all the time...
they have the reruns of Firefly..
Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman
    Dark Matters with John Noble
    Prophets of science fiction
Brave New World with Stephan Hawking
and don't forget the all time greatest time waster: Punkin Chunkin :)

it's solid channel for the show..

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's not an exclusive deal, which means they can also sell it to one of the bigger players. if they do that, and no reason to think they won't then it's not such a dumb move.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Same here :(
need to find out how much it is to upgrade cable.

    ReplyDelete
  14.  Oh i definitely agree with you,the agreement they have with The Science Channel is non-exclusive,so i imagine it will pop up everywhere eventually. As for the channel itself usually after there run they usually show it on there sister channels, weather they do it this time who knows?  Amazon from what the article said is strongly courting the WB,and put in a bid, besides Hulu Plus and Netflix. Yes i agree they will make more with streaming who ever it make be,and the selling of dvd's and blue ray..

    ReplyDelete
  15. Aren't you lucky? I should've figured you would have something like that, given how smart you are.

    ReplyDelete
  16. It means that the hard work the cast put it will pay off for them. And they deserve it. Anna, John and Josh have worked their butts off producing top notch TV every week even knowing the ratings aren't good. I felt like with this cast that every time it looked bleak they worked harder. I'm glad they sold into syndication and I hope other channels will give them a shot as well.
I am a Fringe Fan For Life and will try to support them if I can. I don't have the science channel in my cable packet with will find out how much it is to upgrade. If it starts streaming, I will try to be there also.

  18.  Isn't it a great channel! My husband and i have been watching it for years. If you haven't checked out The universe,or Mars Rising, How its Made and of course The Mythbusters you should, buti have the feeling you have at least seen The Mythbusters.I wouldn't give up this channel for anything!  And yes Punkin Chunkin too but only once, how long can one watch possibly watch that?  :)

    ReplyDelete
  19.  I have Time Warner and i know at least with them if i didn't want a full upgrade i could add a channel. If the upgrade is to expensive see how much it would cost just to add that channel.

    ReplyDelete
  20. yep, i just lucked out .. i've had directv for 7 years.. it was a gift from my mom and then i took over paying for it..

which channels would work for you? TNT, FX, SyFy, AMC... ? maybe they'll go to more than one platform..  netflix streaming would be great.. i rewatched the first two seasons with netflix dvd b/f they doubled their charges. Personally i'd like for Amazon to get it..

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks.
I have comcast cable and it's not in my current packet, will have t upgrade. Satellite is out of the question because I live in an apartment complex and we're not allowed to put up dishes.

    ReplyDelete
  22.  I have Time Warner and channel 111 is Cntric  for the Science channel it is channel 103 (SD)

And people shouldn't forget the Discovery channel has more than two channels so they should look to see what they get...

  23.  i love mythbusters.. esp. the new program, Head Rush,  i'm kind of itching to microwave some bars of soap.. but i don't want that in MY microwave ;o)

I'll watch just about anything relating to space, physics, the future, science fiction, past civilizations, unexplained mysteries and so on..

    i'm such a geek ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have TNT (of all the cable channels,I thought this would get Fringe), FX, SyFy, and AMC. Don't have Netflix, though (but I'll probably wait until that new season of Arrested Development for that one).

    ReplyDelete
  25.  Amazon is aggressively going after this, and they already put in a bid for it..

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh, I will try, don't worry :)

    ReplyDelete
  27.  Yeah i live in an area that is surrounded by the woods, the trees are so tall so i can't get the signal for satellite.

    ReplyDelete
  28. How do you know that?

    ReplyDelete
  29.  I would have to say i'm geeky but not a full fledged geek, now my husband,HE is the ultimate geek! I swear his brain soaks up everything and he gets geekier by the day.  :P

Love Head Rush! Oh please no soap in the microwave, not unless you planned on buying a new one? We do like the same things don't we! :D

  30. this past winter, the one time we got some snow, and it was thick on my satellite which went out 15mins b/f Fringe came on! I climbed a ladder with a water hose and sprayed the snow off (didn't have a ladder tall enough to put me on the roof..) which sounds simple now but was any but that at the time:
I couldn't get my hose to reach the backyard, i 'borrowed' the neighbors instead.. the ladder was sinking into the mud.. it's cold & snowing and i'm getting water back splash all over myself.. i'm not sure if this is even going to work and then i realize there is potential to have the water freeze and ice sounds worse than snow for reception purposes.... HAHHAA it all worked out and i did watch Fringe that night..  :)

    ReplyDelete
  31.  Ha!  Oh i know you will!! :D More than any other person i know you would do just about anything in your power for Fringe!   :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. yep :) check out my newest wall decoration in my place.

    ReplyDelete
  33. hahah we share lotso same taste.. i'm honored to say.

    ReplyDelete
  34.  Hahahah The crazy things we do for our Fringe! That happened to me a few years ago,we had the worst snow storm in years,36 inches in two days, the dish was buried in ice and snow. After digging ourselves out of our front door Ken tried getting to it to knock the snow off but couldn't reach it,we wound up having to wait a day just to  dig out the ladder in order to reach the dish....

    ReplyDelete
  35.  i may be kind of completely jealous of these...   :\~

    ReplyDelete
  36.  yikes, 36 inches!  in Memphis all it takes is 2 inches for everything to fall apart!  LMAO

i had my mom set to record the episode in case mine didn't come on.. and was totally prepared to drive in the snow/ice to her place to watch it :)
it's obs. important to for me to watch Fringe live

    ReplyDelete
  37.  Wow.these are NICE! Did you make this?

and yes i am completely jealous of these...

    ReplyDelete
  38.  Me Too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Man, I don't have that channel! Lucky cat!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thanks! I have Directv so I may have 284. Exciting news!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Glad the show was picked up for syndication...

Too bad this will not get a Season 6 or more episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  42. lostrocks4ever24 May 2012 at 17:44

is this good? will we get more episodes or anything???

    ReplyDelete
  43. It will not lead to more episodes or a Season 6, it's just a way for FOX studios to offset some costs for this season.

It is a good in the sense that the first time they shop syndication rights around there seems to be a number of bidders! Fringe will likely be airing on TV or streaming off some online site for years to come!

    ReplyDelete
  44. They don't even plow residential areas or sidewalks here in Minneapolis unless there is at least 2 inches on the ground.

Guess we are used to it up here. XD

    ReplyDelete
  45.  It was in the article that i read.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wazzaoo, I think people are overreacting to a comment I'm assuming you didn't mean to be taken seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  47.  Hey laura hope all is well!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Happy for the show, doesn't effect me as I'm in the UK and have the boxsets anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Don't have the channel but it's good to Fringe will still be on the air.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I bought the prints at WBshop.com and just framed them.

    ReplyDelete
  51.  They must consider 2 inches snow flurries by you.

    ReplyDelete
  52.  They are nice.I was there the other day and all i saw was dvd's,mugs and tees.

    ReplyDelete
  53.  They are also looking into streaming, and it seems Amazon really wants it,weather they get it or one of the others hasn't been announced  yet. So as they say, stayed tuned!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ha XD

I can think of a few times we had flurries and got an inch or more. Two may be pushing it to be called flurries though. XD

    ReplyDelete
  55. omg, i just checked my comments wtf is going on here :D considering everybody knows that next year of fringe will be final why is everybody flipping out? i was just being cynic.

    ReplyDelete
  56. do you really think i dont know that considering im visiting this site for years?

    ReplyDelete
  57.  Then it must be snow shower,ha!  :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Well then I have to ask...why in the world did you post that comment when you already know that what you said isn't accurate?  What was the point?

    ReplyDelete
  59. SAMURAI_ex_ninja24 May 2012 at 22:25

Hey!! A fellow Minnesotan!!! Sweet!!! And yeah, it takes a lot of snow to make a difference up here, just this year it snowed a foot in a day and we only had a two hour late start for school -_-

    ReplyDelete
  60. Ha!
Yeah it really does not phase us too much here. I've been driving in legitimate blizzard conditions where you cannot see more than 5 feet in front of you.

That was not a wise choice maybe, but it was drive in it or stay the night at work....

    ReplyDelete
  61. there should be 4 pages of merchandise for Fringe and they were on the last page. Really good quality as well. They are actual photographs, not just cheap poster paper.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hey! How's it going! I have been meaning to catch up with everyone...I am especially behind with commenting on GOT! --It's a bummer that Awake's first part of the season finale is one tonight...I really wished they would have picked it up for another season. It's SO well done! J.S. is really really good! Oh well, catch you soon!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  69. Good Stuff, I wonder will it be on the Sky Discovery Science channel In UK

    ReplyDelete
  70.  This isn't a deal for SC to make more seasons of the series, it's only going to air the repeats.

    ReplyDelete

Disqus generic email template...mmmm..if made the producers more money is ok and help improve the series in other network
