SYFY celebrates the series finale of "Eureka" by releasing the fifth and final season on DVD July 17th, 2012. That's 1 day after the series finale airs on TV!
A press release issued details confirms that street date, alongside the runtime of 9 hours, 23 mins., complete with anamorphic widescreen video, and multiple sound qualities (English Dolby Digital 5.1 and English Dolby Digital 2.0), and subtitles (it did not say which language they were in...)
The DVD is also packed with numerous bonus features:
- Gag Reel
- Deleted Scenes
- Extended Scenes
- A Fond Farewell: The cast and crew share their appreciation for the show and their fans
- Anatomy of an Episode: "Jack of All Trades" - A behind-the-scenes look at the making of an episode
- Ode to Carl the Jeep: A tribute featuring all the ways Sheriff Carter's vehicle has been destroyed
- "Just Another Day" - Episode Commentary with Co-creator/Executive Producer Jaime Paglia and Executive Producers Bruce Miller and Todd Sharp
- "This Song is on the House" - An original song from a "Eureka" fan with an introduction by show co-creator Jaime Paglia
Eureka's series finale airs July 16 at 9:00PM on SYFY, followed by this the day after.
