Looks interesting. I like Robert Knepper but I thought Titus Welliver was the head of the cult group? Regardless I'll check it out, especially now that I know Alona Tal is involved somehow.
Love the promo, but it does little to assuage my worries that the CW simply cannot handle a high concept series like this. Ringer was such a mess I will be wary of any high concept series on CW for a while I think....
That said, this is one of thetop 3 to 5 shows I am looking forward to this new Fall season!
I love that logo! This definitely looks interesting, but I don't have a lot of faith in the CW to make it comprehensive, tbh... I think I'm gonna get completely confused from minute 1.
Oh this looks good shame that it is on the CW though because I just don't see them treating it correctly...plus the ratings will be low no matter what :( (compared to the other networks)
Found a cast promo but it is LQ. Hopefully something HQ will turn up soon. I also added a edited screencap of the logo since I thought it was awesome like most other people!
wow the CW actually has the most interesting shows this season! green arrow, this and carrie diarries! im all in (the emily md show looks horrible though)
There was a fairly heavy cheese factor throughout, but I still am interested I guess..... My guess is it could just bomb and be like the similar high concept wreck from this year on CW... Ringer.
Thanks! I feel not so alone now with my thoughts. ;) The promo wasn't as strong as I would've liked. And compared to the other killers'-followers show "The Following", this show's promo looks a lot weaker. If the writing is good, perhaps it'll do okay. Although, in a battle royale, I think "The Following" has a better chance at surviving than "Cult".
I think the thing with Ringer is that was given a 22 episode order, and they obviously didn't know what to do with half of those episodes and ended up filling it with unnecessary rubbish storylines and plot twists that weren't needed. Cult is a midseason show, so hopefully they won't have the same problem and will be able to have a tight season with no stupid side stories that aren't needed.
It looks pretty good. I´m not really sure how far they will take the story to make it last for 22 episodes and maybe another season, but I´m willing to give it a shot.
I like the look of this but I don't know if the CW will stick with it particularly after what the boss said about Ringer and its serialized format being difficult to repeat.
Let me start by saying I love the "show's" logo!!!
Looks high consept interesting and frankly (from what I can tell by the little we were given) qute well made. I don't know if it will catch on though. I hope so.... it's been one the projects I've been more interested in since they began developing it.
I like Matt Davis and Alona Tal, but I am skeptical about how good the show will be. Not only over the writing but also because I'm on the fence over whether or not this is my kind of thing. I'm not big on those show within a show stuff. Just looks too weird for me. Don't know why.
Supernatural hasn't been scary in... how long now? Seriously.. I now know that the oldest 'beast' in existance likes humans dipped in cheesy sauce (extra cheesy) and expensive business suits. Sigh. Oh, and unicorns DO fart rainbows! (cries)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Looks interesting
ReplyDeleteThis looks intense.
ReplyDeleteThe show within the show is on the CW? LMFAO
ReplyDeleteThis should be great. I hope Robert Knepper pulls off another T-Bag worthy performance.
Mehh looks okay.
ReplyDeleteIts like Saw within a show.lol
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting but it seem more like it would be better if it was just a movie.
T-Bag and Alaric in the same show, I'm in.
ReplyDeleteI like the logo.
ReplyDeleteIt looks interesting, could have the most potential out of the new CW shows.
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting. I like Robert Knepper but I thought Titus Welliver was the head of the cult group? Regardless I'll check it out, especially now that I know Alona Tal is involved somehow.
ReplyDeletehmm... Im not sure what I think about this show yet... But it does have Alona Tal so thats a plus =]
ReplyDeleteNo. Titus Welliver was about to play the boss of a special group working on a missing cult in the pilot Midnight Sun over at NBC.
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting wonder if it will hold up think i will definitely give the pilot a try.

ReplyDeleteI love O'Bannon but it looks messy and likely to be cancelled after the 13th episode tbh.
ReplyDeleteRobert Knepper and Matthew Davis, both actors are great!
ReplyDeletewow the CW actually has the most interesting shows this season! green arrow, this and carrie diarries! im all in (the emily md show looks horrible though)
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing
ReplyDeleteThat's my worry too.
ReplyDeleteI love O'Bannan but this does not interest me at all.
ReplyDeleteInteresting... And hey, there's Matt and Alona!
ReplyDeleteTHIS ONE I like. *staring at you crazy/obsessive fan*
ReplyDeleteThat's already on my top-list!
ReplyDeleteEh. That's a clever-ass logo, though.
ReplyDeleteALARIC!!!!!! no matter what i would watch this because of him but it also looks good so im defiantly gonna watch this!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that thought the ending of the promo with the ominous "next...next........next", was LOL cheesy?
ReplyDeleteMost interesting looking show CW has ever had, not sure if it is going to work but intend to watch the pilot at least
ReplyDeleteNo. XD

ReplyDeletePromo looks interesting, I thought it would've been paired up with Supernatural though, since they both seem intense, action-packed and scary.
ReplyDeleteIntrigued

ReplyDeleteOk... this looks pretty interesting for a CW show.. I'll give it a look when it comes out
