Clip 1: Dang. They brought William B. Davis out of hiding for this. They really dug deep into the sci-fi grab bag. Clip 2: It's good that they move the story to present time so quickly. I wasn't digging the look of their version of the future.
side note: I'm surprised to see sneak peeks this early since the show doesn't premiere 'til the 27th.
i have seen the first episode and really enjoyed it will post a review later with more clips and character bios leading to the premiere date effects and sound were still incomplete in version i saw though
The future was not overly impressive to me either, but as Tariqq noted, most of the VFX were labeled "temporary".
I will say that while the overall future came off a bit weak, the concept of their future was better than I expected as was the technology. It just made sense to me unlike some future shows where it seems to be less functional and more about style or cool factor.
In this case the jumpsuits made some sense and had a purpose and were not just to show off Nichols curves. They work some back story into the jumpsuits which was nice and of courser the red jumpsuit people were criminals so that made sense too.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteCigarette smoking man! And he is part of the conspiracy again :-)
ReplyDeleteWhy do future people always wear tight spandex?
Cool. I'll be sure to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAnd jumpsuits. Future societies love their jumpsuits.
ReplyDeleteTariqq would you happen to know if anyone in the states is interested in this show?
ReplyDeleteThis i have to see,it looks good!
I was thinking the same thing as I saw the Smoking Man in this one... xD
ReplyDeleteI found his role very interesting... both future him and past him and the dynamic between them!
