Good schedule! I also like this one.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Sunday for The Mentalist :( hope Elementary is worth it *glare*
ReplyDeleteInteresting schedule. I like it. Not too many risks taken, mostly the same. I figured it'd be pretty similar. Why change what's working?
ReplyDeleteMoving TAAHM is the biggest "shocker," and I think that might work out. Since it already gets good ratings, it'll only be helped by being paired with TBBT. And that'll give POI a stronger lead-in, which should help it. Elementary should have a strong launching pad. MINJ is doomed on Friday but it's a non-cop drama so it was doomed anyway. The Mentalist on Sunday should still be okay, I think.
I don't watch The Mentalist anymore but I can tell you if you do that the night change will annoy you. The Good Wife was pushed back at least a half hour every time it aired in the fall and it will probably annoy the crap out of Mentalist fans.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. For the most part, this schedule does seem to make sense (like ABC's).
ReplyDeletei think they should have moved Hawaii Five0 to Tuesdays with NCIS and NCIS LA.. since its basically NCIS Hawaii ,,
ReplyDeleteThe Mentalist on Sunday?! O_______O
ReplyDeleteAre they crazy??
I don't watch The Mentalist anymore either, however, the new move doesn't seem too bad imo. Not that much competition on Sundays at 10p. Although, Good Wife doesn't seem to be that great a lead-in, ratings-wise.
ReplyDeleteand what about Rules Of Engagement!?
ReplyDeleteGood schedule from CBS, pretty much what I expected though TAAHM moving to Thursday instead of 2BG is a bit of a bold move, sending out a message to the competiton that they intend to rule Thursdays.
ReplyDeleteI knew the Mentalist was moving but I think it would have been better at 9pm Sunday, The Good Wife isnt a great lead in.
Elementry at 10pm Thursday also a good idea, Scandal and that low rated crap NBC have scheduled there should ensure CBS have a very good hour.
New drama Friday at 9pm, Fridays are becoming fashionable again it would seem.
Vegas at 10pm on Tuesday, exactly where I would have put it. Against PP and Parenthood it could do very well.
One question guys: what NT and N stand for?
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I like that! Hawaii Five-0 = NCIS Hawaii. And I agree with you on that scheduling too. Then again, I don't know anything about CBS' new shows yet, so maybe "Vegas" will end up being a good fit there?
ReplyDeleteNT I think is New Time
ReplyDeleteN is New Show
It'll be up against some strong competition from NBC's 'Do No Harm' and ABC's '666 Park Avenue' but it should hold up, it has the advantage of an already exsisting fanbase, I do think it shuld have aired at 9 though but The Good Wife would not have fared well aginst the increased competition.
ReplyDeleteThat is the exact reason why I stopped watching Cold Case. I loved the show, but I never knew when it was going to air because of sports.
ReplyDeleteThey haven't made a decision yet.
ReplyDeleteNow its time to break out the paper and pens boys and girls and make our viewing schedule!
ReplyDeleteSo far so good,i see The Mentalist is on Sunday..I gave up The Good Wife because of all the OT when football is on,so there goes the Mentalist too i suppose, can't even dvr it since you never know when its on,too bad.
POI was doing just fine for about three episodes which had THREE series highs in a row, or have people forgotten that?
ReplyDeleteNot bad....
ReplyDeleteGood thing move TAHM for thursday, this mean a little help for POI.
ReplyDeleteThe good wife still sunday... Don't like iit
ReplyDeleteThe Thursday comedy block it's a ratings behemoth.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really nice schedule!
ReplyDeleteOf course CBS has a lot to work with seeing as they have so many high rated series.
yess! thats what i meant actually they should have moved Vegas to that spot! especially having the 2 hour comedy block as a lead in.. i think its a Win/Win for both shows!
ReplyDeleteGrr with stupid sports over running my sunday shows will be right up the shoot now, put sport on a sport channel where it belongs, please!!!!!
ReplyDeletefuck this! why The Mentalist for Sunday? It's gonna get cancelled now! :( Just like CSI Miami. Sunday is not the day for procedural crime shows, it wont work there! x-(
ReplyDeletethey have Mentalist's spot to elementary? o.O I hate Elementary even more now! what are they thinking. Mentalist is one of the consistent shows for CBS, they did not move to 9pm slot for that reason and now they are moving it? why?
ReplyDeleteI dont get the Mentalist move though! they have solid numbers for thursday at 10. I dont see any reason why they should move it to Sunday, which is not a good timeslot to have and replace it with Elementary which is one of those new shows that could easily be a hit and a miss...
ReplyDeleteGeez... The Mentalist on Sunday?? it seems that someone put Baby in the corner with this one...
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah I actually used to call Five-0 CSI: Hawaii. In fact, I have a theory that that was a big reason why they canceled CSI: Miami. I am really sad to see Miami go. It was one of my favorite shows. But, when you compare it to Five-0, the similarities are everywhere. The beaches, the general plots of the episodes, the action sequences, the type of shows they are, etc. I think CBS realized that they were basically paying to produce 2 versions of the same show and that's why they decided to keep the younger one and cancel the the older one.
ReplyDeleteAs far as The Mentalist goes, I think they put it there simply because they didn't have any other place to put it. I had to deal with sport event overruns when Miami was airing there the last few seasons and sometimes it was hard to catch the show live, let alone DVR it. I hope the new time doesn't hurt the show.
Oh, and that Thursday schedule is downright beastly. TBBT followed by TAAHM followed by POI? Damn. I wish the other 3 networks luck on Thursdays this fall. They're going to freaking need all the luck they can get to compete with that monster.
Friday along with Blue Bloods was fine by me .. but Sunday isn't for The Mentalist.. :(
ReplyDeleteMoving The Mentalist on Sundays at 10:00 pm is stupid. They want to kill the program. The Goodwife has some very low rates but will have a better schedule.
ReplyDeleteAt least now I have no reason to watch Person of Interest. I was just trying not to miss the beginning of the Mentalist!
ReplyDeleteI think it would have been cool if they moved Hawaii 5 O to tuesday with the two NCIS's I like to think of them as a family.
