  1. Oh god yes! I think this is going to be a worthy successor to the other Bourne movies. Love that is is tying into the story as a whole. Renner is such a great actor and the rest of the cast are perfect.

  2. Looks good ! Yes, they're milking the cow, but it promises to still be damn good milk, so I'll happily drink it.

Paul Greengrass' very particular style (extremely shaky and raw but at the same time not confusing) will be missed, as it was a key element in the identity of the Bourne series, but it's a new chapter, Jason Bourne is no longer here, maybe it's good to mark a transition. A smooth transition, thankfully, since the main writer of the whole series (Tony Gilroy) is still here and taking a bigger role by directing the film too, and most of the supporting cast is back (except Julia Stiles apparently, but given the evolution of her character and the ending of Ultimatum, it would have made no sense to have her back).

I'm glad they're not rebooting the series or doing the exact same thing with another character. It's like a spin-off (of a character we've never seen before), a prequel (following, in part at least, the same training that Jason Bourne went through himself before he was found floating in the Mediterranean sea) and a follow-up ("Jason Bourne was just the tip of the iceberg").

The last 4-5 months of the year will be crowded with promising thrillers : Killer Joe, Savages, Lawless, Argo, Killing Them Softly, The Paperboy, The Place Beyond the Pines, and broader productions like this one, The Gangster Squad, Looper, Premium Rush and Skyfall.

  6. wow. Really nice preview and as much of a "no Bourne movie w/o Matt D" person I was, I really like the look of this and really like Jeremy R, and think that he 'll do a great job with it..

  7. It's not a thriller but I'm gonna mention it because I'm a nerdy fanboy like that: The Hobbit part one comes out at the end of the year too! :D

  8. I'm really looking forward to this movie.  I've missed the Bourne movies, and now I'll be able to get my fix.  Jeremy Renner and everyone else looks great in it so far, too!
