Kinda got my mind blown tonight at dinner. @BryanWynbrandt explained the mythology behind Alcatraz. Guess what. It's Purgatory.

Wait, what? So everyone's just dead? They were going to pull a Lost on us?
ReplyDeletePurgatory??!!
ReplyDeleteWish we got more details...
Too bad Alcatraz doesn't have season 2, I was hoping it's gonna get better.
I have a sneaky suspicion that Jorge was joking with us :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I think he's making a Lost related joke :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, I made that connection a few minutes after I remembered he was on Lost.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Are You Kidding Me! We were going LOST all over again....oh man.
ReplyDeleteI still would have watched...
Ha ha ha ha Jorge, that's great. But what if it isn't a joke!?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI think he was joking, but I still think there may have been 2 time lines by the time we got to the end of it...it's possible that their was a previous history from the 1950's onwards, that was changed when 'the future' went back an altered it from that point on, considering some people in the future were aware of their futuristic existence...
ReplyDeleteI still say the Island is a time machine that helps spawn and maintain itself with multiple time lines and conscience plane(s) of existence that basically set up the notion of where man (at any point in any history) would coin terms like: 'limbo', 'hell', purgatory', divine plane, ect, ect, as the Island could awaken the awareness (except for our group of saviors) to believing in any one group or persons thought. It's that saying that everything thought itself into existence...(David is something we get to glimpse that gets created into the next time line, to continue to show us the "progress" of going through hell and back!)
I love what Jason O'Mara (Terra Nova) tweeted to Geoff Stults (The Finder) and Sam Neil (Alcatraz)....

ha ha
ReplyDeleteI would have watched too... fore a while at least.
ReplyDeleteI guess I always had issues with the show honestly. The mythology was awesome, the premise was good, the execution was mediocre and the character development was just bad.
It's never a good sign to me when the weekly guests stars are consistently more enjoyable than the recurring cast.
The pilot had me hooked in for the season, the finale set up a good Season 2 also I guess. I just think that the show was better in theory on paper than on my TV screen.
I had issues with the show to,but It would have been nice to know why this was all happening. I would have even settled for the Readers Digest version! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, Ouch!
ReplyDeleteI think he was joking too!
ReplyDeleteDarth why aren't you a writer? You should be working with/for Bad Robot, seriously!!!
You obviously have the talent, you certainly have the imagination for it,they would love you.Honestly, think about it....unless you already have written something??????
He is kidding,right?
ReplyDeletelol nice Zinger, Jorge...
ReplyDeleteI think season 2 would have been better, because they were planing on moving a way from TCOTW format...that would have opened up more room to explore a lot of the characters more in depth (especially Rebecca and Diego) and now that we generally know who the key players are, it would be easier to focus on their stories too.
ReplyDeleteLike I said before 13 episodes just ins't enough time IMO to get to the point they were trying to get to, so on that note perhaps catering to TCOTW people wasn't the best idea...even POI has made everything so much more interconnected.
I feel so Bad for Jason O'Mara. I really like him as an actor, but he seriously has a curse following him...a curse death to sci-fi! (But if we rename the genre magic and fantasy, instead of science and [advanced] technology it surprising does better...Once Upon A Time :/)
ReplyDeleteLOL Jorge I love you <3 Glad he is on Twitter he always comes across a great guy, hope he gets a new show soon
ReplyDeleteI love the description of his account: "One away from my island trilogy."
ReplyDeleteIt's always purgatory!
ReplyDeletewow thanks for the spoiler i just started watching lost ...
ReplyDeleteLost was never purgatory, I ASSURE you.
