Sad, as I've enjoyed this show over the years, but this past season was pretty inconsistent and it's time for the final curtain. At least they have a timeline to start tying things up for a good sendoff and concentrate on really good writing.
He's in charge of NBC... what IQ did you ever think he had? :P This season kind of proves that nobody at NBC really knows 100% what they are doing, ESPECIALLY with the renewal of Shitney!
Relieved by this. A silly, clever, quirky show. But it doesn't hold to me the way a lot of the other comedies on air do. I won't be sad to see it go but I'll still enjoy getting to the end.
Like I said, the timeline gives them an endpoint to focus on and write towards that which gives them direction and motivation whereas this season felt too often like throwing stuff at the wall to see what would stick, but that's my opinion anyways..
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI'll miss 30 Rock, but I'd always prefer a show pick its own end when the timing is right than wait until the network cancels it.
ReplyDeleteit can go out with a bang, any news whether alec will be in it.
