it looked like Cas was inside the building tho with the symbols blocking but i thought cas still couldnt b in it? Anyways tho he got his mojo back last time was saw him before he saved Sam and took on Lucifer maybe the Angels up in heaven got another new boss after Cas and Raphael died? I mean that meant all the big bad angels that were leaders had died and angels had no bosses which as we could tell....they dont know what to do with that lol. So they are either pist Cas returned and got his powers back or they want him back as their leader but he wont go easy apparently

  8. Good television promos are not supposed to make people blind unless the editors know it's going to be a crapfest.

    Just sayin'.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think it's going to be awesome. But I've always liked the angels so...matter of opinion. I'm sure it's going to be action packed though. :D

  10. I am freaking out over this promo so hard.
    CAAAAAAAAS!!!!

It looks scary and threatening and awesome. After seeing some screen-grabs (because it goes by so quickly) I am hopeful that I will get the two things that I want out of this episode: 1) Cas hallucinating Dean, and 2) Cas!whump with the archangels.

Looking forward to this so much! Edlund, don't let us down!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Definitely not optimistic about this episode but I'm mostly mad at how the damn promo hurt my eyes :/

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm thinking that they drew the symbols after Cas was in the room with them. The symbols probably only block any angel outside.

I'm pretty sure they're not going after Cas to get him to go back to Heaven. Not to lead the angels. I'm sure after what he did at the beginning of the season they're very angry. At the very least they may see him as a threat.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I am confident Ben Edlund will not let us down. :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Or maybe they're pissed because Cas killed so many angels in heaven when he thought he was "god."

    ReplyDelete
  15. That's exactly my thought. Hence the angel slapping/hitting Cas.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Even though the promo says that, Supernatural hasn't officially been renewed yet. But it is likely only the season finale.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey they cleaned Cas' trenchcoat! I like this ep already :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. If I didn't know Castiel was going to be in the finale, I'd say this would be the episode he was gonna die for real this time. I'm happy its not, but I know those arcangels are definitely gonna make him suffer.

Also, is it me or has Castiel told Dean he's sorry like a million times this season?

    ReplyDelete
  19. This time it could be towards the angels though, not necessarily Dean.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I clearly hear Castiel's voice saying: "I'm sorry, Dean." at the end of the promo.

    ReplyDelete
  21. LOL I had to download the clip and play it at like 3x slower to even make sense of this, and even then I think I missed some things. That promo is way too fast, plus the video quality is horrendous so it's really quite unwatchable. But whatever, idc, because Castiel! And finally more actual plot! I'm excited.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I found a HQ version on YouTube, but the second half the clips are super short so it's still hard to see what's happening. I think the editors really wanted to keep us guessing what the heck will happen in the next episodes.

Also, I caught a frame where bright light is shining on one of the characters, i think Dean, like an angel is being killed. Again, if i didn't know Castiel was gonna live, I'd say this was his exit episode.

castiel said i am sorry to dean again sounds very bad and confuse

  24. Oh my Cas!!!!

Ok we have Angels, Demons, Cas and Meg!
"Well this is going to be sooooo much fun!!!"

In the clips Sam and Dean together have protective glasses on working on something, A big block of stone which Dean is seen  hammering.  And Dean is  very angry sending the "I'm sorry" board game flying while sitting across from Castiel

There aren't enough I'm sorries said by Castiel in ten centures to make up for what he did and I hope the showrunners remember in "The Born Again identity" Dean told Sam in the ending scene "We have no friends All of our friends are dead". Not that Dean wishes Castiel dead but that their friendship is dead. After what Castiel intentionally did to Sam theres no way things can ever be the same again, how could they be seriously? Dean wouldn't be Dean anymore if they were.  ( Dean can forgive him and perhaps should for Deans own sake to have peace of mind and be able to move on with his life)
Hopefuly Singers word means something (unlike Kripke and gambles) and Castiels return from the dead (yet a third time) for better closure and conclusion for this character will be ended most likely by his death sacrificing himself for the greater good and for some redemption. And this time Castiel and the Angel mythology will be gone for good as there hasn't been a place for him or them in this show for seasons now.

And most likely this show is going to keep ignoring  Castile being  responsible for Bobby death too. And torturing poor Ellie to death the one good creature to come out of Purgatory who had helped the boys. But they can't let him off the hook in the broad prospective for all the humans and Angels he killed.

Its almost impossible for the show runners to tackle the reality of all the people closest to castiel  that he hurt tortured and killed. Thats why i felt he should have stayed dead. You really can't candy coat it and use sams forgiving nature to downsize what he did. I hope they don't

Other ho hum clips in this promo are Meg getting tossed around and Dean looks ready to, push button  the Angels away buying them some time to do whatever they need or escape.

The Blonde definitely is an Angel, and she has her fist raised to punch someone (maybe Meg or more fittingly Castiel for the thousands of Angels (and humans) hes killed)  and shes using her power (to throw people it looks like maybe Sam by the open door behind him,his positioning and the way Sam is facing  Dean and Cass) But Cass is standing there next to Dean and Dean is looking at him and Sam too with surprised looks on ther faces maybe its when she first  makes her entrance. Who knows?

The one thing  I liked and it was re-enforced in last nights great episode is Sam and Dean are a solid team in every way and they together take the lead. No doubt the episodes leading up to the finale and the finale itself will be made better because of their united leadership and strong bond whcih seems to growing quickly and  stronger with each episode

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ellie wasn't a "good creature to come out of Purgatory," she was a monster who killed everyone at Lovecraft's party, and was only helping the boys because she liked this world and didn't want the Purgatory monsters messing it up.  Sam, Dean, and Bobby torture and murder demons and monsters all of time for info.

And sorry, but if you put Bobby's blood directly on Cas's hands, then you have to put Ellen and Jo's hands directly on Sam's hands.  Cas didn't intend to let the Leviathan's loose on the world.  He grew prideful, overestimated his strength, and unintentionally let the Leviathans escape.  They in turn killed Bobby.  Sam didn't intend to let Lucifer out.  He grew prideful, overestimated his strength, and unintentionally let Lucifer out.  Lucifer and Meg, in turn, killed Jo and Ellen.

Cas is guilty of a lot, but no one's hands are clean on this show.  Even Bobby is guilty of murder.  In season 3, he shot Ruby unprovoked with what he believed was a damaged Colt, knowing it probably wouldn't hurt the demon but would most likely kill the girl she was possessing if she still stood a chance.  The show is about redemption and forgiveness.

  27. I'm so ready for an angel fight.  I loved last year's Edlund/Cas ep, so I'm looking forward to this one the most this year.

    ReplyDelete
  28.  Thank you !!! Couldn't agree more. And let's not forget that Sam also killed innocent people when he was soulless... How is that different from what Cas did when he was under the influence of all those damaged souls from Purgatory? Fans often suffer from selective amnesia, it's crazy...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Maybe it's just an ad for the promo like the "part of me always believed that you would come back" from 7.17

    ReplyDelete
  30. I recently re-watched season 4, and there parallels between Sam and Cas are so striking. If Sam can be forgiven, then so can Castiel.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yikes, SO much going on... I had to squint a little to ease the confusion, and I still don't think I got all of it... but this is going to be an intense one for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, I was wondering when that would come back to bite him... he doesn't have the juice he used to, so they'd be okay to approach (or attack) him now.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Me too. I wasn't expecting to see angels anymore.
    I'm already in heaven ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's funny how you make it sound like Kripke, Gamble and SInger promised that Castiel would be off the show by a certain point, and it's some kind of betrayal that they didn't hold to that. Castiel is a really interesting character, and if I were a writer, I'd want to keep him around too.

Gamble already said that Castiel's arc this season is left open enough for him to come back in season 8. So he's not being killed off for good.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Perhaps. But why play it now? And Cas and Dean playing Sorry?

I have a feeling Cas will be very sorry this episode lol. /endstupidjoke

    ReplyDelete
  36. Exactly. Obvious parallels are obvious. It's clear that the writers are purposely trying to make the connection between Sam's actions in season 4 and Castiel's in season 6. And just as in season 5, when Sam had to redeem himself, Cas has to redeem himself now. I'm so tired of hearing about how Cas is to blame for literally every bad thing that has happened since season 4, and how he never ever deserves forgiveness no matter what he does. The hypocrisy is amazing. If people want retribution and vengeance on Cas, they better be willing to demand it on Sam as well. The truth is, they both deserved a chance to redeem themselves and earn forgiveness.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah that statement gets thrown out nearly every time Cas is mentioned but it's not based in any reality that I can find. None of the showrunners ever promised that Cas would be permanently written off the show.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh yeah, my mistake. It was late last night :P

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think Dean may actually be Lucifer in disguise in that board game scene. I don't see Dean playing a board game anytime soon, and the fact that it's the board game 'Sorry' well, it's something that Lucifer would so come up with because he knows how Sorry Cas is for his mistakes. It's the kind of clever thing Lucy would do.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Whoa! What's going on?! I mean, WHAT just happened?
Regardless, this is FANTASTIC! Looks like another awesome episode! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  41. This is just my opinion, but one other parallel is that I was thoroughly sick of both story lines by the time they were done.  I just hope they move on quickly and get back to Dean and Sam kicking butt and taking names.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well, that is one terrible promo.  I may not like every twist the SPN story takes, but I do expect to sort of know what's going on after watching the promo 5 times.  This is like trying to play a game in the pitch black with a strobe light pulsing.  It's disorienting instead of informative.  At least I got that Dean and Sam figured something out with the red clay and that Meg, Cas and more angels are back.  Ruh roh!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Why can't they dress the female angels in a sensible pantsuit? Raphael was one crazy dick/bitch but he/she had style in all them forms. Blondie there seems not to care about presentation.

So happy to see angels again, I hope we see their reactions to the levy business, and that they give some clues about the clay, they know their biblical stuff pretty well (maybe the clay is what brings to bros to contact Cas)

    ReplyDelete
  44. I haven't the slightest idea if Sera wanted Cas off or not, but as she is stepping down from the showrunner position, it make sense that she will left the door open for jeremy Carver.

Considering j. Carver wrote "the rapture", "free  to be you and me", "point of no return" or "changing channels", I have big hope for Cas in season 8.
    :-p

    ReplyDelete
  45. Brilliant! Love the idea of hallucifer playing with Cas guilt.
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well that's too bad for you I guess, but I and a lot of other people happen to like stories about redemption and forgiveness. I thought Sam's journey to the dark side and then back again was amazing. It really enriched his character for me.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Angels. Lots and lots of angels. I just hope there isn't some magical fix for the leviathans via angels.  I never really had a problem with the use of Angels before, but this time it feels a little forced.

    ReplyDelete
  48. How can it feel forced if you don't know what the story is yet?

    ReplyDelete
  49.  Lol at Meg being all comfy reading a mag with her legs stretched on Cas bed. She's a perfect nurse Ratched!

Sam and Dean find some (enochian?) written tablet hidden in the clay. I guess it's a how to kill your leviathan guide for dummy.  It could be one of heaven lost weapon, hence the angels coming back.

I wonder if Cas is waking up because he sense his brothers and sisters?

Cas head down and looking totally miserable in front of his "family" break my heart. I wonder how he will escape the death penalty they most probably have in store for him.

Who is tossing Meg against the wall? It seems more a demon than an angel move.

    ReplyDelete
  50.  Love both Sam and Cas redemption arc, but I'm with you on the boys kicking butt wish.

I want them on the road with a shining baby*, rocking music, the
occasional beer sharing, a little less angst and a lot more of action.
*And if I dare to hope, depowered Cas on the back seat

I think after the apocalypse and leviathans stuff, it would be good to
go back to a smaller adventure scale and have the brothers saving some
people instead of saving all humanity.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Take out Cas in the back seat (although I like the depowered idea) and you've got my wish list for season 8.  I'm not anti-redemption.  I think it is very powerful.  I just don't want to spend weeks in a never ending emoangst ball dealing with the fallout of characters making hideous choices.  I want to like the heroes I'm rooting for and I really, really want next season to be action oriented.

    ReplyDelete
  52. My theory was that Castiel, while in the hospital, found the board game, was intrigued by the title and decided to play it as if that'll help him express how sorry he was or something.

Dean comes across him, realizes what he's doing and throws the game to the floor in anger.
I have this bad feeling we're not gonna get any hallucinations from Castiel besides what we've seen already. But i really hope I'm wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  53. This looks dull to me, I haven't been this underwhelmed before a season finale ever for SPN. It's just not interesting me this season, I miss the days when it was Sam and Dean in mortal peril, the stakes were so much higher and more interesting then and this looks Castiel centric which I could not care less about. Yawn.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Fair point, bad choice of the word forced. I mean that it seemed Angels had played their part, and this was something separate. (I'm bad at explaining)

    ReplyDelete
  55.  In their defense, stakes couldn't really get much higher than season 5 (and potentially 6)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dean and Cas are playing Sorry?  Wonder how that goes.

    ReplyDelete
  57. D'we know yet if next season is a go?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Ok so not expecting much Sam on this one for obviou reasons. So far the show has done a good job with the lack of Jared in the last few episodes basically over using guest stars and dialling down Dean so it doesnt feel like its all about one brother as it had seemed earlier this season. Liek I said dont expect him to do or say much, this one is guest satr heavy so he wouldnt have had much involvement anyway.

I had also prepared myself for Cas coming back and the fact that they basically gave him Sam's storyline with a twist because Jared obviously had better things to do. Also very prepared for all the Dean/Cas angst, it had to happen eventually. Seriously hope Meg drops as many jokes in as possible about thier latest lovers tiff. She snarks so well and would love her to get a few innuendos about Destiel in there just for a laugh, even better if it gets a laugh out of Sam.

All I want from the episode is to know what the hunk of clay is for, not really interested in the rest of it. This season has had its moments but I'm kinda finding a boring. I've written this season off as 'the season of meh'

Oh well only 3 episodes and a hellatus to go before hopefully Carver gives us back the excitment.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I too, hope that Carver manages to come up with a thrilling story-arc.
It would be nice to see the writers coming up with something really different and creative.

It doesn't have to be stratospheric just as long as it's coherent, engaging and logical with lots of Sam and Dean working together-ness and great guest stars who guest star, and don't become leads for the episode.

However this season there have been good episodes too and it would be unfair not to acknowledge that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. there have been some good episodes but my problem has been the overall storyarc, that is what has been lacking for me. I have likes a few episodes individually. I just want there to be coherency, better writing, excitment and more brothers less guest star focus.

    ReplyDelete
  61. you might also compare Dean's torturing of souls in hell, they've all pretty much done something bad that they need to be redeemed for.

I wonder if some fans are just treating Cas how Sam has been treated for several seasons now. Look at the abuse he gets from certain groups of the fandom.
