Glad to hear that Sam and Dean might be questioning whether Bobby staying around is a good thing. That makes me feel a little better about this episode.
i'm glad to see that the boys may get clued in to who has been helping them out. i think it will help the boys (especially dean) in the grieving process, as well as in their fight against the leviathans.
"If evil is partying in here, it has one hell of a clean-up crew." Ha! Perhaps Constance has come back. I like the idea of an old-fashioned ghost story. If it's anything like Asylum, I'm going to be one happy fan.
Me too and I'm wondering if the boys are going to have to burn that flask at some time so Bobby can move on. We learned from Tessa in S2 what happens to a spirit that hangs around and the boys wouldn't want that for Bobby
Ghosts don't just instantly go insane. Tessa was saying that eventually it does get to them, after realizing that their family/friends have moved on and then further down the road where they pass on and they're left alone. Sure, some obviously 'decay' at different rates, but my guess is Bobby already knows and understands all of this and is planning on staying sane as long as he can be there for the boys (in whatever capacity).
Same here. They've been telling us that spirits that stick around too long become the things that Sam and Dean have to hunt, so it would really screw with continuity in the universe of Supernatural if they let Bobby stick around as a ghost indefinitely.
This really looks good. Not surprised Annie is dead after the CHCH promo (I'm guessing since she was a hunter she must have died trying to stop the ghosts?).
This sort of reminds me of Asylum, if only because of the multiple ghosts. I like. :D
The beginning of the clip reminded me of Asylum. It's one of my favorite really scary episodes of the series. I hope this episode will have that feel as well.
But what makes people think burning whatever they are connected to makes the ghosts move on, in which case, what would reapers be there for?It looks more like they burn into non-existance,like when angels smite demons, I doubt they go anywhere but are just gone. What if hunters are wrong about this?
My guess is he makes the decision to move on himself when he starts to lose himself to his vengence. I dont hink the boys will have to send Bobby to the other side, I'm expecting more of a Roadkill type ending for Bobby.
It's an interesting question, but a hazard of the job, I suppose. And it'll be an interesting position to put the boys in if Bobby starts becoming less "Bobby the friendly ghost" and more vengeful spirit
That's my hope, too (A Roadkill/HOTH - style ending "going into the light") rather than the boys having to destroy the flask. I recall what Sam told "Molly" in Roadkill - that having to salt and burn their remains in their Dad's mind "meant death for ghosts" and every spirit that the boys have had to resort to these measures went - painfully - up in flames. But Sam also said they really didn't know what happened to these spirits. Death told Dean that the human soul was impermanent so there is a possibility that "torched spirits" are just obliterated, permanently gone with no afterlife at all. I would not like that for "Bobby" :(.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
LOL. "Hi. I'm Bobby, and I'm a ghost."
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Sam and Dean might be questioning whether Bobby staying around is a good thing. That makes me feel a little better about this episode.
ReplyDeleteSo Annie really is dead... that's too bad, I was hoping she could become a recurring character.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun one though ! I love that they're going to explore spirits through Bobby's POV.

ReplyDeleteHa.. I love how "Hi... I'm Bobby... I'm a ghost..." sounds like the start of an addicts' meeting.. Ghosts Anonymous?
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to this one. I love Bobby.
ReplyDeleteBobby at a Ghost Anonymous meeting... I like it!
ReplyDeleteHaha. So true!

And of course I just love Bobby!

ReplyDeleteThe hell? That music is VERY un-Supernatural.
ReplyDeleteThey always play that music in the producer's preview, if I remember correctly. It's CW music, not show music.
ReplyDeleteWe'll chalk that up to my unending aggravation with the CW's promotion department then.
ReplyDelete"Hi. I'm Bobby, and I'm a ghost." I missed you! And it's good old fashioned ghost story, so yay! I missed that too:)
