I loved this show but had no idea it was going for a second season because of all the BAD PRESS it seemed to receive and yet sure enough they can cancel my A GIFTED MAN for the no other reason than "no one was watching" - I know of quite a few other people who were watching. What is even funnier is that A GIFTED MAN hasn't officially been cancelled.
It got much mixed reviews, not bad reviews. It got better reviews than for example Psych. I think it was actully a bit great to be USA Network, a channel i mostly gives up every show after the first season (Psych, Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, White Collar, In Plain Sight e.t.c.). It`s one of the shows together with Burn Notice, and Nessary Roughness i like form the channel.
The show also got a decent or good bunch of viewers, and is on a channel like USA Network, not NBC or CBS.
A Gifted Man will be cancelled in mai, during the upfronts same as Unforgettable. And CSI: NY hopefully.
It got really good reviews here in the UK and a lot of followers considering it's on a really obscure channel for here. I'd say it was a hit over here and the channel has confirmed they'll be bringing us the 2nd season "sooner than you think" \o/ I know what you mean, I've been madder than anything in the past few years when they've cancelled shows just because they're not getting the exact firgures the networks, even if the figures are huge if they don't hit the bar they're done. That's the TV business for you.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Without even seeing the promos...I am so excited this show is back!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the new season. Was one of my favorite new shows.
