“THE SECRET CIRCLE” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)
“Family” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

CASSIE AND DIANA UNLEASH THEIR DARK MAGIC, CHARLES AND DAWN GET A SHOT AT RESTORING THEIR POWERS AND FAYE FIGHTS FOR HER LIFE IN THIS JAW-DROPPNG SEASON FINALE  — After Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) is attacked by the Witch Hunters, Jake (Chris Zylka), Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) and Adam (Thomas Dekker) set out to save her.  Blackwell (guest star Joe Lando) tells Cassie (Britt Robertson) and Diana (Shelley Hennig) that the only way to stop the Witch Hunters is to use their Balcoin blood to unleash the Crystal Skull.  Diana is reluctant, but Cassie convinces her it’s the only way to help their friend, but she’ll need to tap into her dark magic to do it.  Meanwhile, Dawn (Natasha Henstridge) and Charles (Gale Harold) are faced with a new way to get their power back...but at a very big cost.   Dave Barrett directed the episode written by Andrew Miller & Andrea Newman (#122).

  1. excuse me while I LOL at Crystal Skull.

  2. The Crystal Skull is something from the books, and it's an important tool in the books too.

  3.  That's fine. Still makes me think of Indiana Jones though.

  4. Season 2 please and why no mention Nick! :( Althought that might be to much of a spoiler for those who don't want to be spoiled

  5. So, we won't get to see Diana's dark magic until the last episode? :s Don't like it

  6.  I thought of that too but my immediate follow-up thought was if Dallas would have something like that in her shop on Suburgatory.

  7. I'm going to go ahead and guess that Diana won't be able to control her dark magic like Cassie can.  She may be a lot of trouble next season, IF there's a next season.  (and there's a good chance there won't be)

  8. But there's also a slightly good chance there will be, since a lot of the CW's other shows are tanking and TSC still has a higher average than most. I have my fingers crossed! Can't wait for the season finale though.

  9.  TSC USED to have better ratings than most but the ratings have slipped this spring to the point where they aren't any better than the other shows on the chopping block.

Just this last week, TSC was only one tenth of a demo point better than Nikita and Nikita had had more total viewers.  In fact, TSC's ratings are lower than Hart of Dixie's now.

I think they're making the reappearance of Nick a special surprise.

  14. It isn't funny, it's taken from the books and a lot of us loved the reference. And the show is about witch witchcraft, duh.

  15. But still, for most part of the season TSC was ahead of all the new shows and every other show on the network besides TVD and it's been tied with SPN, so I think it has a better chance that mediocre Ringer and its collection of 0.4s, for example.

  16. Amazing, I can't wait to see all coming to a head!

  17.  Networks aren't interested in the ratings a show used to have.  Networks are only concerned with the ratings a show can sustain.  The Secret Circle hasn't sustained its audience.  Their ratings never leveled out and still continue to drop.

As far as SPN goes, Friday ratings are treated differently by networks because of the smaller potential viewing audience and Ringer has absolutely no shot at a renewal.  The latter doesn't make TSC's chances any better either.  I fully suspect, if The CW thinks highly of enough of their pilots, that TSC will be canceled.

  18. Didn't say anything about the show. And the books don't appeal to me so I didn't know. Crystal Skull just made me giggle. I don't think there's nothing wrong with that. Didn't mean to offend.

  19. oh, that's fantastic. When we have 2 episodes until the finale this show starts to get me hooked...
