2012 Masters Tournament overrun (CBS), 60 Minutes (CBS)
-Losers (excluding repeats):
Dateline (NBC)
----------
-Rating Results:
CBS ruled this holiday Sunday in the overnights, but individual program results are approximate due to a 51-minute Masters Golf Tournament overrun. NBC finished a distant second, followed by ABC and Fox, which aired an evening of a repeats.
Keeping in mind that results for CBS are subject to change, here are the results by half-hour:
7:00 p.m. - 2012 Masters Tournament: 10.5 rating/21 share (#1)
7:30 p.m. – 2012 Masters Tournament / 60 Minutes: 10.0/19 (#1)
8:00 p.m. – 60 Minutes: 7.9/14 (#1)
8:30 p.m. – 60 Minutes / The Amazing Race: 7.0/12 (#1)
9:00 p.m. – The Amazing Race: 5.6/ 9 (#1)
9:30 p.m. – The Amazing Race / The Good Wife R: 5.5/ 9 (#1)
10:00 p.m. – The Good Wife R: 5.1/ 9 (#1)
10:30 p.m. – The Good Wife R / CSI: Miami: 5.2/ 9 (#1)
Note that CSI: Miami was either the season or series finale. Rumor has it CSI: Miami will return if David Caruso is willing to come back at a reduced salary.
Over at ABC, the network aired two episodes of recently introduced drama GCB with the 9 p.m. installment a test to see if it can step in for Desperate Housewives. GCB at 9 p.m. finished third with a 4.0/ 7 in the overnights, which was 37 percent below Desperate Housewives one week earlier (6.3/10 on April 1) and 18 percent below a year-ago edition of Brothers & Sisters (4.9/ 8 on 4/10/11). In other words, there is no way ABC can move GCB to Sunday at 9 p.m. next season if it returns.
Next on ABC was the regularly scheduled 10 p.m. edition of GCB at a third-place 3.8/ 7. Earlier in the evening were encore telecasts of America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 2.8/ 6) and Once Upon a Time (#3: 2.5/ 4) from 7-9 p.m.
Elsewhere, NBC had nothing unusual to report with its line-up of Dateline (#2: 3.4/ 7 at 7 p.m.), older skewing Harry’s Law (#2: 5.1/ 9 at 8 p.m.), which based on total viewers is worthy of a renewal, and two-hours of Celebrity Apprentice, which averaged a 4.7/ 8 from 9-11 p.m. Comparatively, Celebrity Apprentice dipped by 23 percent from the year-ago evening (6.1/10 on 4/10/11). Here is the half-hour breakdown:
Celebrity Apprentice (NBC)
9:00 p.m.: 4.3/ 7 (#2)
9:30 p.m.: 4.4/ 7 (#2)
10:00 p.m.: 5.0/ 8 (#2)
10:30 p.m.: 5.2/ 9 (#1t)
While I do not want to give anything away, Lisa Lampanelli is the definition of the word bully.
Fourth in each of the half-hours from 7-10 p.m. was Fox’s encore combination of a 7 p.m. edition The Simpsons (1.3/ 3), The Cleveland Show (1.3/ 3), the regularly scheduled edition of The Simpsons (2.0/ 4), Bob’s Burger’s (1.8/ 3), Family Guy (2.5/ 4) and American Dad (2.2/ 4).

A reduced salary? I thought the real question of CSI: Miami's fate was whether NYC 22 failed or not, not that it was David Caruso's choice. I hope he makes the right choice, though, to renew the show... he is one of the people in Hollywood that I have the most faith in. Cannot picture him in any other role than H :P
ReplyDeleteI don't see why he wouldn't want to come back even with a reduced salary, CSI Miami was a big break for him.
ReplyDeleteThat's not good for GCB, I was hoping for it to have good ratings at 9pm. They should keep it on at 10 though.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but this was just a 2 hour special for last night.
ReplyDeleteThe Good Wife repeated well (though that's probably the golf runover), but CSI dropped a lot. How did it drop to 1.3 from 2.0?
ReplyDeleteWhy don't they just hire someone to replace David Caruso? Like maybe someone who can actually act,it would be a nice change,i might even tune in.
ReplyDeleteI tried watching GCB but i didn't like it at all..
Andy,i cannot find Missing,i checked ABC but nothing M except for Modern Family. Is it listed somewhere else?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's...Missing.
ReplyDeleteHa! That's what i was going to say...but didn't lol... :P
ReplyDeleteLisa
ReplyDeleteLampanelli.
CBS thinks CSI: Miami is watched because of David Caruso.
That's one of the reasons i don't watch CSI Miami because of David Caruso, and its a bad show because of him......
ReplyDeleteOkay who is Lisa Lampanelli?
It's not a bad show because of him, and 10 million average viewers kind of proves my point. David Caruso is awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteSorry, I didn't know you were going to say it.
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that CSI: Miami was delayed by 52 minutes (yes, 52 minutes. Not a typo) in some time zones due to sports last night...
ReplyDeleteKnow the saying To each his own? Just as you have every right to express your opinion,so do i..... :D
ReplyDeleteDo you have any idea who Lisa Lampanelli is?
Ha,don't worry about,glad you did! :D
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd no clue who Lisa Lampanelli is, sorry. Maybe the CSIs could find out? :D (dry joke, I know)
That cracked me up! I like dry jokes,lol.... :D
ReplyDeleteJust found out who Lisa Lampenelli is and your right Andy she is! To make a living like that...
ReplyDeleteThat'll explain it. 52 minutes? Ouch.
ReplyDeleteNo, CSI: Miami is terrible just because of pretty much everything with the show :D
ReplyDeleteShe's a Comedian who is currently on that stupid Trump apprentice show and supposedly went off last week on him.
ReplyDeleteShe somehow manages to get on all the 'Roasts of...." shows on Comedy Central.
By the way, I disagree with your opinion about David Caruso.
He's the main reason I watch the show. :)
Yes i found out before that she is an insult comedian, thanks anyway! :)
ReplyDeleteYep,we can agree to disagree, and i disagree with your opinion... :) Now where even!! :D Just being silly, welcome to SpoilerTV where you a lurker at one time?
Csi miami sucks
ReplyDeleteYep,it sure does! :D
