I will be watching Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell, Brienne of Tarth and Catelyn Stark. Yoren and his Crows fending off Gold Cloaks... of course I speak about Game of Thrones.
THE event of the night : the 21th and last chapter of Eastbound and Down :( (although it may not be the series finale after all, they said so last year at Paleyfest but McBride and Hill are hesistating now, they will shoot a new movie and then see if they have ideas for a fourth season, but HBO would want them to do one : http://www.indiewire.com/article/television/is-eastbound-and-down-ending-even-show-co-creator-jody-hill-isnt-sure ).
And then two new series : NYC 22 and Girls. At first I was not nearly as excited for Girls as I was for Veep, but it's getting a lot of good critics. I'm intrigued now. As for NYC 22, it doesn't look like it'll be a contender for a Golden Globe or anything but it seems like a decent (cop)show for CBS, I hope it works out.
And The Good Wife (stellar season so far, as always), The Big C, Game of Thrones (but I'll wait for May 27 to start watching this season, same for The Borgias... not nearly as impatient for that one though). I'll put the new episodes of Nurse Jackie, The Killing and Mad Men in a little box until I'm up to date.
I never said that did I? Don't put words into my mouth.
I'm okay with sex, violence and killing as long as it serves a story purpose. But 6 to 7 scenes like that in 1 episode is just too much.
After the fourth scene, I was like "again with the sex?" And I was not the only one, there is a point where it's useful and a point it's just to show off.
Same goes with the violence and the killing. For that matter Joffrey doesn't have 6 scenes in an episodes to show what a douchebag he is now does he?
Sorry, that came across wrong. It was a question, because I thought you were like the others I've seen on the net that react to the one sex scene in ep1 this season and freak out over it.
They forget about the killing, torturing and cruelty before the scene, then they focus on the sex scene, and again ignore the murdering of children and innocents afterwards.
It's strange, and to be honest, I haven't really noticed the sexposition much this year. It's much more integrated this year and so far comes nowhere as strange/intrusive as the littlefinger "Play with her arse" scene from last year lol.
It's alright, just a misunderstanding. I believe sexposition can be quite effective, Boardwalk Empire does this great. And I agree that in GoT it's more integrated this season, that Littlefinger scene last season really jumped out as bad.
But at least spread those scenes out over multiple episodes, 7 times in 1 episode is just too much! Luckily none of my roommates came asking if I was watching porn or something. LOL!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Game of Thrones! It's been 2 weeks since I've seen a new episode.
ReplyDeleteBreakout Kings! Good ol' fun.
Harry's Law. Ridiculous at times but good.
