Suburgatory & Modern Family (at last), a new episode of Ugly Americans (last week's episode was one of the best of the season, and it had Jon Benjamin (Archer !) guest-starring) and I'll be storing the Psych finale on a shelve. I won't watch Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 since I've seen the first two episodes, which are good, it seems like a good comedy, but are they cougartowning the title of the show ?
Apt 23 would make a perfect combo with Suburgatory, they sort of share the same tone. It's most definitely not as fitting as a combo with Modern Family, but I doubt Suburgatory would be strong enough to start the hour, so I like how the comedy block is done, hopefully it'll retain enough of the audience of Modern Family (which is a much more wholesome program).
+ The new installments of the Late Late Show and The Colbert Report (Michelle Obama is a guest, nice).
But first and foremost, I'll be tuning in to see Quevilly vs. Rennes, semi-final of the Coupe de France (soccer ! run for your life !). A club in National (3rd division) vs. the 5th club of Ligue 1 (1st division), €1.3 million of budget vs. €52 millions of budget (the Stade Rennais could be a lot richer but the owner is married to Salma Hayek and doesn't care much about football, so there goes the money). But that's the interest of this Cup, having many David vs. Goliath faceoffs. Quevilly took Marseille out 3 weeks ago (3-2), and this small normand club is no stranger to big performances (they also reached the semi-finals in 2010, they lost to Paris (1-0)).
I'll support Rennes though, as I'm kind of living there most of the time for the past year. Rennes has the opportunity to go the final against Lyon, which disposed of Ajaccio (at Ajaccio) yesterday (4-0), with the corsican supporters and players being... corsican, let's leave it at that.
Rennes got to the final in May 2009, only to be defeated by Guingamp (2-1), a Ligue 2 club (players like Drogba and Malouda emerged from that club) which happens to be 30 km from my hometown, so I was obviously rooting for them : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UlPaauX7I8 That final being a Breton derby (first time ever), there were breton flags all over the stadium, the breton anthem played (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UCrEk9HY7c ), it was pretty awesome.
It's very rare when it's not a Ligue 1 club that wins the Coupe de France, Le Havre did it in 1959 by defeating Sochaux, and then there's Guingamp on May 9, 2009 :). Bagpipes roared at the Stade de France that night (you'd expect when two Breton clubs are in the stadium), hopefully they will roar again next May if Rennes wins tonight.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
CSI, Mod Fam, Suburgatory.. already saw the first 2 eps of B in 23 on iTunes
