    Thank the HBO gods this was better than "Girls" was!
    It has some tinkering to do, but it's already more funny than cringe-worthy. Unlike many comedies on the air these days....

    "Thank the HBO gods this was better than "Girls" was!" - That wasn't hard, Girls is very (what's the word I'm looking for...) peculiar show. For me not funny at all.
    As for "veep" I see potential here.

    it reminded me of Parks and recreation a little bit, which is not a bad thing in my case. I laughed at some jokes like the "glasses are like wheelchairs for eyes" and some other parts.... not bad It will get a 2nd week viewing from me.

    Unlike Girls this was actually funny! I am a huge fan of Thick of It and In The Loop so this is naturally playing to all the things I love, think it has real potential
