  1. Just an ok ep, too heavy handed in a lot of parts but decent ending. I'm glad that Lip (and Sheila and Jody) finally got the anchor that was Karen out of his life (hopefully), and that Lip might be moving on to someone hotter in Este, (but maybe not less crazy). I feel the kids especially Fiona give Frank and Monica way too much benefit of the doubt and should pretty much keep them out of their lives, but then there would be no show... lol

I loved it! Not every plot was perfect or anything (kept muttering "screw you Frank!" under my breath as I've done practically every week this season) but the resolution to the plots I truly cared about were just right for me.

Fiona getting her GED, being there to comfort Carl and Debbie, having Steve/Jimmy stay with Fiona through the tough times and proving he's in it for the long haul, Lip coming to his senses and ending the season sleeping with Estefania, Sheila keeping the baby, Karen leaving, etc. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if she turns up as a drug-addicted hooker in a future season, it would fit her attitude pretty well.

Personally I've enjoyed how they've made the show more dramatic recently because since it's helped me connect with the characters much more than I did last year. Maybe it's because some of it hit close to home for me but it was extremely rewarding to see at least some happiness awaiting my favorite characters (Lip and Fiona in particular) after all the crap they went through over the last few episodes.

  4. Solid episode.
     - What I liked best about this finale is what it accomplished.
       * The mother is gone again.
       * Karen is gone too.  (Yay!)
       * Jimmy-Steve is back so they can stop taking up space with that story.
       * They finally made Ian's storyline interesting.
       * They kicked Frank out.  (now if they'd only change the locks)
     - I wasn't expecting Stefania back but, for the first time, she was actually fun to watch.  Go Lip!
     - WTF was Jenna Elfman doing there?  That was weird.

This was a very uneven season but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

    side notes:
     - It was a good thing Jane Levy left and was replaced by Emma Greenwell as Mandy Milkovich.  I can't picture the girl from Suburgatory doing all the nude scenes / sex scenes.
     - What was the point of Amy Smart's character this season?  (or at all for that matter)
     - Emma Kenney as Deb is more interesting than Ian and Carl and should get more screen time and better stories.
     - The synopsis for the finale said "Eddie's insurance check arrives" but I don't remember hearing it mentioned at all. - I cannot believe the Jody character will be a regular next season. - It's strange that the season ended without addressing or resolving the fact that the entire family is broke.  They have no money to make it through the winter.
