It was an amazing episode aside from Quinn and Barney/Quinn. The high pitched screaming was a little overdramatic. Calm down there. And ugh at the Stormtrooper sex. NOBODY WANTED TO SEE THAT.
Loved all the flash forwards. LOL at Lily being pregnant in every single one of them. (Probably because Aly is.)
Poor current!Ted. But yay for Baby Girl Mosby showing up at the 2015 one! She was so cute. And Barney was clearly hiding his ring finger.
That episode was so good. Super funny...and the more I see of Quinn the more I like her. So sweet with the baby! And such a big reveal! Really coming down to the finish line soon
i know on the whole barney hiding his left hand... i was like wow really? even though we know he gets married in like 4-3 episodes..... but then again he might get divorced so maby they dont want us to know...
I do feel a lot better about Barney/Quinn after this episode, but I still won't be able to believe the writers aren't going to do Barney/Robin until I see it.
And now we pretty much have confirmation that Ted meets the mother in either Season 8 or 9 (as long as each season still equals a year going forward), so I'm happy about that.
I loved watching everyone "evolve" through flashbacks! Robin in the Stormtrooper was kind of hilarious.. or creepy.. I haven't really decided yet haha. I may have gotten a little misty when Ted came out with his baby girl in 2015, too.
It was also cool to see that Barney has grown enough not to want the same thing three years from now that he always wanted in the past. I mean, I know he said he wanted to be with Quinn, and we know he's getting married (ideally to Robin), but it was awesome to see him come to that realization. Our little Barney's growing up!
I'm with you on this one - I went back and forth on Quinn for a while, but I think I may legitimately like her now. Then again, that could all change in the next episode haha.. but for now, I thought the moment between her and Barney in the kitchen smashing the mugs was cute.
I thought that this was the best episode of this half of the season. Minus Quinn who I didn't even notice and didn't care about this episode was great. Loved how they worked Robin into each story and a flashback to 2009 when BR were dating. Hot, stormtrooper sex not with Quinn but with Robin. Barney is clearly trying to replace Robin with Quinn and it's showing all over this episode.
Decoupage, really? Baby in trucker hats, yes so cute. The episode was lacking until the final scene paid off. I guess I am one of the few people who still care about Ted, his growth has seemed so stunted and the story line has made me more sad than happy this whole season. So, I really need the good stuff to hurry up and get here. I don't mind Quinn (for now). I have never really liked Robin and I hated her and Barney together (sorry Kluzty_Girl). I hate she held Ted back for so long. I hate how she neuters Barney.
Great episode, you know, minus Barney/Quinn. These red herrings that Quinn will be the bride... they're making it too obvious, how is that going to be a "shocking" bride reveal? Robin is totally the bride.
Good ep. Quinn is so cute. At this point in the story her marriage to Barney would not be motivated enough, but marriage to Robin would be even worse. On the other hand, they have the whole of next season to persuade me to either scenario (though I would need a lot of it when it comes to Robin considering her actions).
Ok episode, liked seeing Ted with the baby but otherwise it wasn't particularly funny. This show needs to end before it goes any further downhill. A shame, because it was once so awesome.
Agreed! Just did not like Robin with Barney, and I dislike how that still seems to play a more prominent role to fans than things that actually have to do with Ted.
Such a good episode, I didn't even mind the Quinn and Barney nonsense because Barney literally made me laugh the whole entire time. So stoked for the finale.
Actually, we realy don't know if he gets married. We know he is in the church or what ever, about to get married, but maybe he dosen't go throw whit it.
People think that because they believe that the two will wind up together in the end and they are just waiting for the moment it happens for good. But I don't necessarily think she is the bride. It could very well be Quinn and the wedding doesn't happen or they end up getting divorced.
Thanks Jenni! So there are a lot of possibilities... me too, I think Quinn is the bride... especially since Barney said he wants to stay with her for the rest of his life...
ROFL! I don't get it, how showing Quinn and Barney happy makes more obvious that Barney will end up with Robin? Where is your logic, how did you came up on that? I really don't understand how extremely obssesed you are with this whole Robin + Barney thing. Seriously, give it a break, it's boring.
And that is the beauty of his character. He didn't have to develop himself - from the very beggining he knew exactly what he want. Now, we are six years later and he wants the very same thing which he wanted in Pilot. I love him for that. Yes, Barney has grown and it's awesome, but I think it's more awesome that Ted can be the same guy through seven years. Ironically, this is the only reason he can't achieve what he wants. :o
I'm not a Quinn fan ( but I suppose everyone needs a practice relationship or two...especially a guy like Barney, before they settle down) but I did love the moment when Barney said he didn't want another revolving girl in 3 years. And the baby.....
I really liked this ep. I liked the prediction vs reality aspect and, after a long while, I finally had moments where I laughed out loud.
This may have been the worst episode of HIMYM I can remember. - After a short bar sequence to set things up, the show started off with 15 solid minutes of perpetually unfunny fantasy sequences and flashbacks. - After 15 minutes, Ted finally had his sad sack, woe is me revelation and we finally get to the actual plot of the episode. - Four minutes after Ted's blithering, Barney had his dating revelation. - The last few minutes with Barney and Quinn were actually the only good thing about the episode. - "Trilogy Time" was 4 minutes of decent material and 18 minutes of horrible filler.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
The baby! Omg! so cute! :')
ReplyDeleteAlso, i'm still not liking Quinn/Barney :/
Also Loved the Barney/Robin flashback! :D

ReplyDeleteGreat episode!!
ReplyDeleteSo loved the Barney/Robin flashback :)
i know on the whole barney hiding his left hand... i was like wow really? even though we know he gets married in like 4-3 episodes..... but then again he might get divorced so maby they dont want us to know...
ReplyDeleteHmmm, very good point about the ring. We know he gets married, but who knows afterward?
ReplyDeleteI do feel a lot better about Barney/Quinn after this episode, but I still won't be able to believe the writers aren't going to do Barney/Robin until I see it.

ReplyDeleteJust because we know he gets married doesn't mean the marriage lasts.

ReplyDeleteThe ending was my favorite part,: Barney/Quinn and Ted and his daughter part.
ReplyDeleteHe won't get married in this season, only his bride will be revealed.
ReplyDeleteGreat episode, you know, minus Barney/Quinn. These red herrings that Quinn will be the bride... they're making it too obvious, how is that going to be a "shocking" bride reveal? Robin is totally the bride.
ReplyDeleteAlmost everyone think that Robin is the bride, so if Quinn's turns out to be the bride, then that would be "shocking."
ReplyDeleteGood ep. Quinn is so cute. At this point in the story her marriage to Barney would not be motivated enough, but marriage to Robin would be even worse. ReplyDeleteCould have used more star wars references...
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Just did not like Robin with Barney, and I dislike how that still seems to play a more prominent role to fans than things that actually have to do with Ted.
ReplyDeleteSuch a good episode, I didn't even mind the Quinn and Barney nonsense because Barney literally made me laugh the whole entire time. So stoked for the finale.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand guys... why do you all think Robin is the bride? What if were Quinn?
ReplyDeleteActually, we realy don't know if he gets married. We know he is in the church or what ever, about to get married, but maybe he dosen't go throw whit it.
ReplyDeleteTed IS stunted and it's frustrating. He's been essentially the same guy since the pilot.
ReplyDeletePeople think that because they believe that the two will wind up together in the end and they are just waiting for the moment it happens for good. But I don't necessarily think she is the bride. It could very well be Quinn and the wedding doesn't happen or they end up getting divorced.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenni! So there are a lot of possibilities... me too, I think Quinn is the bride... especially since Barney said he wants to stay with her for the rest of his life...
ReplyDeleteThe writers have said in earlier interviews that he does get married.

ReplyDeleteI am 100% that Robin won't be the bride. I just want to see Klutzy_girl's face, when she will be proven that she was wrong for the whole time. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Quinn fan ( but I suppose everyone needs a practice relationship or two...especially a guy like Barney, before they settle down) but I did love the moment when Barney said he didn't want another revolving girl in 3 years. And the baby.....

I'm no Ted hater. I just find him a little stagnant at times. But I understand your point and it is a valid one, certainly.
