Pretty good ep with some good forward movement on the mytharc and whatever the Capt (or his highness) is planning with the hot hexenbeast spinning her web for Nick's partner. Decent cotw with a spin on the goose that grew the golden egg in esophagus... lol Liked that we still got some good Monroe/Rosalie bits, but even though I understood the reasoning, the Juliett turndown of Nick's proposal felt really anticlimactic and lame on her part. It seemed awkward that she was just staring at the ring, kind of unimpressed with it at the end....
Juliette rejecting the proposal was entirely right. She clearly sees that something is up and that something is going on and that Nick is not telling everything. Marriage can't be based on secrets. And till Nick trusts her enough to let her in, there's no point of even marrying each other. Its nice to see a strong and capable normal woman in the show that is not treated like trash.
I loved how obsessed Hank is getting , I loved how Nick saved the day with Juliette's assistance. I was sad that Juliette refused the ring. I am thinking Juliette's experiences as a Vet would be invaluable to Nick as he faces these other creatures. He should open up to her. I suspect he will do so eventually.
I really liked the crime...though I did feel a little like Juliette wondering if these things were following them. Really like Monroe and his lady. I'm starting to thing that by seasons' end Juliette is going to know Nick's secret and I'm really interesting to see how that's going to play out. I got and liked the point that she made about accepting his proposal...but there was something...um...ambiguous about her eyes in that moment.
I'm starting to think most other Grimms were just mindless assassins.
I had been expecting this to be the ep where she found out about Nick because of the mention that she's a vet. Since it hasn't been mentioned for a while, I figured she was going to have to get the egg out...and that would be how she found out... followed by the proposal.
I think the show is getting better. But Nick is too bland on his own. I could use some spicier characters, like a really feisty Juliette, working with him.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteGreat episode.
ReplyDeleteAnyone noticed Sgt Wu eating the paper clip. He's definitely not recovered from Adalind's mojo.

ReplyDeleteI caught that. Intended to mention it but I forgot by the time I got to the computer. I'm officially worried about both Wu and Hank. :-)
