Oh yay! And I'm happy about Partners. The two shows that had gay leads last year weren't picked up, so I hope this one is.
ReplyDeleteWhat about CW's Beauty and the Beasy?
ReplyDeleteno mention is usually a bad sign
ReplyDeleteWhat does it mean for Cult : "Gaining momentum" ?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm french and I really don't understand this expression :/
its chances of being picked up are increasing
ReplyDeleteActually it's fine, I understand now ! I hope this show will be pick up :D
ReplyDeleteThey dont judge a pilot before its done. That pilot is not done yet. Its near finished shooting in Toronto.
ReplyDeleteNo word on JJ Abrams/Mark Schwahn's "Shelter"?
ReplyDeletei think it finished shooting april 2nd
ReplyDeleteNot filmed yet. You have to wait.
ReplyDeleteYes, but there is something called editing and sounding.
ReplyDeleteI'll wait for the shows to be picked up before I get attached to any of them. I made that mistake last year.
ReplyDeletewhile that was the last cw pilot to finish filming it did finish filming like first week of April
ReplyDeleteActually they finished filming on a week or two ago. Guest it's still in post-production.
ReplyDeleteFrom the 4 pilot scripts i read from The CW that`s the worst. Cult is like so darn bad structured and the characters come out as kinda flat. Well, maybe CW likes that.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious, how good were the other pilots you read? And I'm not surprised about the Cult. The plot sounds ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Gilded Lilys and 666 Park Avenue will most likely make it onto my TV screen.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am also looking forward to Do No Harm on NBC and Ralph lamb on CBS.
I'm not sure what all the buzz is behind First Cut, but after the mediocre season of Hart of Dixie I honestly don't think that The CW should go down the medical route again...at least not so soon. Really hope that Joey Dakota gets picked up though solely for the fact that I want to see Craig Horner in something new.
I can only say from the scripts but i read also Arrow, Carrie Diaries, and The Selection. I liked The Selection and Arrow. Im kinda unsure what i think of Carrie Diaries, it basically said that SATC-fans should not remember the HBO-version of Carrie Bradshaw.
ReplyDeleteNo mention CW's Beauty and the Beast makes me anxious! I really want this show to be picked up!
ReplyDeleteactually the CW also screened beauty and shelter http://www.broadcastingcable.com/article/483344-NAB_CW_Affiliates_Get_First_Face_to_Face_With_Pedowitz.php
ReplyDelete"NICK STOLLER project : solid but single camera" what an odd complaint, but it is CBS after all. CBS could trade with NBC: CBS takes Shitney and Chelsea, and then NBC leaves
ReplyDeleteCrossing my fingers Americana gets picked up. There are 3 soaps ahead of it though, blah. :(
ReplyDeletei have a feeling that ABC are going to pick up Devious Maids and pair it with GCB IF its renewed!! then air Mistresses as a midseason show instead of summer just like what they did with Missing..
ReplyDeleteAfter all, I think they'll pick up Arrow, the Selection, The Carrie Diaries and something else. TCD however, is such an epic fail, and it won't help the CW to grow. I'm rooting for Shelter and Beauty and the Beast. Anyway, I'll watch every CW new show next fall. (Except for TCD) :P
ReplyDeleteit doesn't say they've been screened. what exactly does a ~peek mean?
ReplyDeletewhat does in contention mean? sorry my english isnt ver good
ReplyDeleteThe Carrie Diaries sounds to be good!!
ReplyDeleteit still has a chance
ReplyDeleteHuh... interesting info. Some shows that had caught my eye are not on the list. Now I guess we'll just have to wait and see what makes it on the air.
ReplyDeleteI so hope Last Resort gets picked up! I love Shawn Ryan's shows!
ReplyDeleteIn other words, every pilot tested well and they still put on the air the same crap every year. Yup, I totally buy it...
ReplyDeleteTCD might not be everyones cup of te but it is based on an international francise which means the CW can make lots of money from it. It is currently one of the pilots getting buzz in the UK.
ReplyDeleteJust because it doesnt appeal to you or I doesnt mean it wouldnt find an audience.
I hope the CW pick up a lot of new shows for next season. Arrow, TCD, The Selection, First Cut and maybe even Cult for mid season. Just as many as they possibly can. They need a few solid hits to build on. The more new shows they pick up the more poor rated shows they can cancel.
ReplyDeleteABC have some great pilots in the works but I always find thier shows too soapy, I will steer clear of anything Shonda Rhimes related.
CBS they dont have a lot of shedule left to fill, I think pretty much any of their pilots could be hits but I love the casting on the Ralph Lamb project so I hope that gets picked up.
NBC seriously need to pick up as many new shows as they can. I say dump all thier current shows on the same nights and new shows all together on the same nights. They have a lot of interesting sounding pilots in the works that I hope go to series. Most of thier current shows need to be either cancelled or given final seasons. Its time to start rebuilding.
FOX limited space means either cancellations of some some low rated fan faves or a lot of short season orders like Terra Nova/Alcatraz. I also expect only 1 of the spy dramas to be picked up I vote the kid spy over Ali Laters hooker spy.
are you refering to the current shows on the air be renewed over the nets picks up more new shows? if you are I agree.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you there, too much META is actually a bad thing not a clever idea. Its too niche IMO, if they want to attract viewers they need more main stream. I know it sounds boring but the network doesnt get many viewers as it is and Cult is the type of show that alienates the vast majority of potential viewing audience the CW can acheive fom the get go.
ReplyDeletethey probabaly only aired a small pre-edited section of the pilot. Or what they've had time to edit already?
ReplyDeleteThey are taking their time with this one, didnt we see set pics a while back about the same time as the Selection was filming their pilot?
There have been set photos for I think all the cw pilots except Shelter. I find it odd considering who is behind the project. They also cast last and filmed last. There is literally no buzz surrounding that show.
ReplyDeleteI was very disappointed that there is no buzz mentioned for my most anticipated new show, "Beauty and the Beast." I would think that this would be a shoo-in after the success of "Once Upon a Time" and "Grimm." I would love to see both versions on in the fall, although my greatest disappointment will be if Kristin Kreuk never gets to play Beauty.

I'm crossing my fingers for NBC's "The Frontier". Need some Bridget Regan on the TV screen again! (and on a horse, ha! *gg*)
