Former Angel and Alias star Amy Acker will guest-star on Person of Interest's Season 1 finale.

Acker will play an attractive psychologist who caters to the rich and powerful. When the machine spits out her number, Reese (Jim Caviezel) must keep her safe from several clients who could potentially kill to keep their secrets safe.

Besides her work on Angel and Alias, Acker has also recurred on such series as Dollhouse and Happy Town. Most recently, Acker guest-starred on Grimm and Once Upon a Time. She's currently appearing on the big screen in The Cabin in the Woods.

Person of Interest airs Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS. The season finale is slated to air May 17.

Am I the only one surprised the season finale sounds a bit like a stand alone episode/ case of the week episode ? :o

  17. thats possible. and maybe flashbacks for Finch and the Machine origins again? That would justify a finale episode. I get the feeling that there is still a lot about Finch we don't know about that could completely change our opinion about him; no one spends their life in such secrecy without some serious stuff to hide..And it's not even after creating the machine, if I remember correctly, Finch even went to college under a false name.

  18.  hey and what if Root knew finch...I mean his real name and identity or something like that?

  19. Oh you should!! I am rewatching with a friend shortly too, think i'm going to be watching the season over and over basically until season two hits, lol.

  20. I was never sure if Root did know Finch or not honestly. Her calling him up and using his name, "Harold" certainly imp[lies she could know him and she recognized his "signature" on here mission breakdown. I guess it could just be that she backtraced his web of security, shell companies and fake names to his real name (or at least the fake name we know him by XD) and she did not know of him before he interfered in her business too.

Yeah I do not recall the exact nature of Finch and Ingram's relationship since we got short brief and vague glances  into their pasts. I think Finch was the programmer and Ingram was the business side or government liaison of the project maybe.  It would be nice to get more insight into Finch's past or the Machine past... something more explicit and detailed.

  21. I wouldn't be surprised that we get revelations by the coffee spoon. NCIS needed some 6 seasons to complete most of the character back stories, and didn't even try the first three.

  22. Ha! I'm glad you are enjoying it so much! I love "all over it like a rash" great expression, made me laugh, and smile!  :D

  23. Lol, good, it is a rather good turn of phrase :D

  24. I was always okay with that (well, except with Gibbs, that drove me crazy).

  25. Well, when it comes to Person of Interest you just never know what little thing can spiral out of control and leave your mind completely blown. There will be a twist, I am almost certain of it and even expecting a left turn that will keep us buzzing all summer and well into fall. But if not, this has been an amazing start for a great show that I hope goes for at least 3 more seasons.

  26. I completely agree! This show just is really amazing so far!

And I too think that there will be some kind of twist in the episode. Going in I knew what Abrams and Nolan were capable of, but damn each episode just blows me away with the little connections and continuity!

And that's without mentioning the great twists this show has! I. Can. Not. Wait! Summer's going to be long! :)

  27. Ha, true. But that is why 'Heartland' was all the more brilliant (in fact, I think I'm gonna go watch it now :) )

  28. You know what, me too. It took awhile for NCIS to grow on me but I have probably seen every episode at least 10 times by now. Some I even know by heart from start to finish.
