  2. Is that the first jacket Emma's worn that hasn't been leather?
    Pinocchio is kinda creepy.

  5. I no longer have idea what Mr Gold/ Rumpel's goal or plan is.

  6. Oh Emma. I really wish the writers would make you smarter than the average rock on the ground.

  7.  Emma is really getting on my nerves now. :S

  8. Emma has been on my nerves for quite awhile now!

  9. Mine too. I would love to see the old Emma back. You know the one from the first few episodes. It seems this one can't do anything on her own. And seriously woman you have a problem with Regina fight it out yourself. Running to Mr Gold of all people is a very bad idea. I wouldn't trust him very much. The man is all screwing over someone.

  10. I know thats the Emma i want back too! The writers are doing this for a reason, maybe there wouldn't be much a storyline for her? What ever the reason i hope next season its better,i already gave up for this season considering there is only a few episodes left..

  11. I agree with all of this. I liked the Emma of the first episodes so much better. The old Emma would have taken on Regina herself. Now she's running to the other "big bad" in town and thinks he will help her? Girl, are you really that stupid? Gold's on no one's side but his own and everything he does comes at a price. But Emma either doesn't care (which makes her look self-righteous) or she's really just... clearly not the brightest crayon in the box. It could be a good story if they were consciously drawing parallels between Emma and Regina and their relationships to Gold, but I'm afraid the writing for their "saviour" has just gotten really off track and the writers aren't aware of it.

  12. Mr. Gold is a lawyer. I think Emma is going to him because she is trying to legally wrest Henry from Regina's clutches. She thinks in real world terms not FTL.

  13. I agree about Gold, he is just out for himself. Love the hell out of him for though. Emma or Regina, for that matter trusting him is just a bad idea. I think that's what frustrates me about Gold is I can never make him out. Like last week he completely screwed Regina over and then this week he refuses to help Emma in her fight against Regina to get custody. I mean WTH. Who's side is he on and what is his agenda. At least with Regina you know what she is doing and why but with Gold I haven't a clue. And regarding Emma how has she made things better in the last few episodes. The last thing I can remember that she changed things for the better or brought about a happy ending was in "Truth North" when she reunited "Hansel and Gretel" their father. I definitely think the writers have lost focus on her being the "saviour". They seem to be more interested in a Regina v Emma in custody of Henry story right now and it's not really working for alot of people.

  14. Oh right I hadn't even thought of the lawyer thing. That's fair enough but still the writing for her lately has been really poor.

  15. But does she really have to think in FTL terms to know that Gold is shady at best and has nothing but his own interests in mind? She knows people who made deals with him and got screwed over badly. He told her himself that the entire town is more afraid of him than Regina. She just told him last week that she doesn't trust him. And yet she comes running to him and thinks she can use him against Regina? It screams stupid to me. Even if he's the only lawyer in town.

  16. What's up with Emma, is the spell affecting her too? She's getting progressively dumber as the season goes on!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Agree, very poor writing for her lately.

  18. And from reading the press releases it doesn't get better... she wants to leave Storybrooke, why? Silly girl.

  19. Are you serious. So in the last episode she says she wants Henry back but now she is thinking about leaving. WTH is going on with the writing of this character. I dunno.

  20. I just love how people seem to think Emma suddenly became "dumber". she did not. Anger is clouding her judgment.

These clips alone prove that she is so focused on "getting back" at Regina that she does not notice even most obvious details - like how the whole process would affect Henry.

In that she is no different from Rumple and Regina herself in that a thirst for revenge and vengeance clouds their judgment and leads them into dangerous roads.

I expect that thanks to this episode Emma starts to think more clearly. She has already been doing that when not angry.

  21. Beats me too! But here is the article:

  22. I agree, but stress that she is written in a more one dimensional way, verses the rest of the characters, not just because of the lack of a direct double who once lived in a very vivacious world, but also because she is the character that is also so "grounded" in realism that it adds a tripple dose of a lack of strong identity, making her exceptionally more limited...

It's similar to Peter Bishop. I am hopeful that by the time we get into season 2, something will start to change with her...

  23. Excellent points! Very well said! 100% agree!

  24. And I thought there was a progress with Emma. In the episode with Hatter! And now again!
But hey, it's Pinoccio story! Can't wait!

  25. Depends on what happens in 1x20.

if its something horrible that makes her freak out and believe in the whole magic stuff, it makes a perfect sense.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Haha yeah. Live wooden person is kinda creepy to see.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That would have to be pretty horrible. This character needs some major overhaul done. Problem is I'm becoming somewhat skeptical to the writing of this character.

  28. That whale looked rather angry... I wonder if Dr Whale might be The Whale, then again that would be rather too obvious?

  29. Clip #1 - Emma has to stop going to Gold for stuff like this.  Just last episode, she stated in no uncertain terms that she didn't trust Gold.  She, in the same conversation, accused him of being involved in Kathryn's abduction and playing both sides of the fence in the case.  She needs to start fighting her battles without him or Gold is going to burn her one of these days.

Clip #2 - Decent CGI this time.  That looked a lot better than anything in the Wonderland episode.

  30. Really looking forward to this episode! Such a great show

  31. I disagree. This is more than just anger clouding her judgement. In the last episode she said she didn't trust Gold and accused him of being involved with the abduction of Kathryn. She also said she feels like he's playing both sides.

So, after all that, why go back to Gold now? She seems to be able to reason with herself in the previous episode and now it's back to being dumb?

I can usually make sense of a character, but her flip-floppy nature is getting on my nerves.

  32. These look great, I can't wait for the Pinocchio story!

  33. The whale is really creepy. Can't wait for Sunday!

  34. LOL! PINOCCHIOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! XD
    Sorry...that part made me LOL...

  35. Anyone else wonder why Gepetto (did I spell that right?) has an accent, even though he didn't have one when we saw him as a child in 'That Still Small Voice?' Been bugging me for a while now, lol. Also, I noticed that the Pinocchio we see here looks different from the puppet we see Gepetto cradling in the promo photos. Anyone starting to wonder if there's more than one wooden boy out there? I mean, we never heard the red-headed kid in the pilot actually referred to as Pinocchio, maybe he's a different puppet and Pinocchio was actually lost at sea. Would explain why August told mother superior that he and his father had a 'difficult parting' or however he worded it. Anyone else wanna speculate?

  36. Now what did change between her not trusting Gold and her doing that?

    Regina's Sidney situation happened.

When she was talking about not trusting Gold and etc she had a clear head - MM was free, Regina was bound to go down, etc.

  37. Oh, I thought he was cute. :)

    And a very good son.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I KNEW he wasn't Gold's boy but Pinocchio... I am confused at how Henry is the only one who can leave Storybook, If I'm not mistaken, she lived outside of the town for 27yrs, and August too...So why can't she  leave anymore... I do think the end game and curse breaker is Regina being selfless for someone elses happiness, Henrys..
