  1. This serie will kill CSI: Miami!?

  2. I liked the credits more than I thought I would. Well-made (especially in today's world of just showing the title and then going to the show...)

  3. CSI: Miami is killing itself, and has done it slowly since the start. It`s the worst CSI out there.

  4. I don't appreciate hearing that, since it's my number #1 show. I understand its your point of view, but with 10 seasons in the box, it's obviously not killing itself. And CSI: NY is by far the worst CSI out there. It's even getting less episodes than Miami this season, and that kind of proves my point.

  5. 1. If it gets awesome ratings, I unfortunately do think it will take over CSI: Miami's spot.
    2. On the other hand, CBS could want to keep Miami and kill off CSI: NY, which means they could move Miami to another night/time.

  6. even though I like CSI, I do think it's time for a change. And these credits are really, really well made!

  7. that was a cool opening, I am looking forward to this show because it reminds me so much of rookie Blue and I enjoyed that one considering I dont really watch cop shows

  8. These are fairly good credits...
Not HBO quality, but better than many current network shows for sure.I'm going to be checking this out despite not like most "rookie" type shows of any genre. That time of year when a lot of series are ending and I have extra time to check out new series....

  9. Sorry, this is a discussion-felt where people often say what they mean. People really dont have the necessarily same meaning as you, or me.

CSI:NY is for me as much garabage as Miami. But both have problems with trying to overdo love-stuff that is not natural or even trying to do something good for the show.

They have not done anything that feels real for quite a long time. Horatio is a comic-character with so bad material and lines that makes youre head pop because of all the cheese, and has been that way from the start. Calleigh & Delko-love stuff felt so forced it was nearly painfull to watch. The players that were good either got removed from the show or is rare thing to see on the show.

10-20-30-40 or darn 5000 seasons dont mean it`s good. It`s still what`s it is, pretty much the most worst CSI show together with CSI: NY.

I loved the CSI-franchise as it started for me in 2001 (this is when the show came to Norway). Now i only love the mothership show, specially now with Elisabeth Shue and Ted Danson, both really good actors even before i knew they where coming to the show for me. But the other CSI`s lacks of actors that can handle their stuff, or when actors that can act the writers give em to bad material to do on the show. The normal CSI also had this problem, but thankfully, Laurence Fishburne left when his character started to feel quite bad.

It`s not that CSI`s is suppose to be a first class drama. It`s suppose to be easy, it`s suppose to have character you like. It`s suppose to at least be decent now and then. Only the normal and original CSI is this now longer. And i hope CBS cancels both Miami and NY. Even tough Miami will survive for another season.

  10. As i said in the other post, CBS will not cancel Miami this season. But NY will be gone, for sure. I really doubt that NYC-22 will survive, i like the feeling to the show a lot. I did not get the feel for Blue Bloods. But i like this The Unusuals meets the beatcops of NY-vibe this show brings me. It`s a mile better than still having CSI Miami and NY on the screen at CBS.

  11. I completely understand that it's your opinion, and I respect that to the fullest. I just wish people would actually look a little bit further into the show's characters than just what is visible.

From watching all episodes of all seasons of 'Miami', there is a lot more to Horatio than just the visual characteristics of the sunglasses, one-liners and the way he stands and moves. On TV, people are used to understanding characters from minute one, whether they are funny, stupid, or completely ridiculous. In H's case, they have built up his personality throughout the seasons, and one can really only understand why he is like he is if you delve into it a little bit. My first time watching it, I felt it was really awkward. Now, 8 years later (I didn't start watching at season 1), I really get what it is all about. And no, it is NOT a bad attempt from David Caruso's side to get a job, it is something he's built over the years, and what he shows on the screen and what he brings of his talent to create a character beat any and all of the other CSI characters, and all of crime dramas (and comedy shows) on TV. I have never seen a character as well-developed as Horatio Caine.

So, before we make this a full-worthy Internet battle for our opinions, we can safely say we have different opinions of what good television and what well-created characters and actors really are. But I just had to respond when I saw your comment, it was overly-provocative for a #1 fan of the show as myself, hahaha :P

  12. Very creative credits. I usually don't watch this type of shows but since they seem to be paying close attention to details, aesthetics, etc, perhaps it's not a cookie-cutter police procedural...

  13. If CSI Miami could die and disappear, it'd make my day even if the show replacing it wasn't all that good. But if this show is as good as the credits could make us hope, then all the better. I don't watch CSi NY so I get why it'd be the one to go and since this show is a NY show, then it'd make sense. But I don't actively dislike CSI NY :)
