NBC has already bought the project. If they put it up as a series, that something else. They wont do it before next year (or suprise us and say they will pick it up as a series during upfronts).
This is not a complete remake. The script i has read is quite good. Bryan Fuller is a special tv-producer, and he has turned it into something quite good (in the script of the pilot). More like a dramedy mixed with supernatural-elements and "monsters". Sorry, but Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies is one of the best one-season shows there up with Firefly, Profit and Terriers of all time. The show also has Eddie Izzard onboard, witch makes it more better looking than everything else besides Midnight Sun when it comes to pilots on NBC this year. Hannibal the comming tv-show also from Bryan Fuller as The Munsters is also quite good. Thethe script was quite good. Agent Graham was far much better than the one in the movie Red Dragon (set years later).
If it turns out to be good then great,i think i'm just tried of all the remakes that have been popping up and the ones still to come.Tired and a little cranky today :(
I think it will be great. Bryan Fuller can make something old shiny again according to the scripts. Pushing Daisies is some the most original stuff on the biggest tv-networks the last couple years.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That's actually pretty interesting. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThis was great when i was a little kid but putting it in prime time seems ridiculous. If NBC buys it then i know it won't last.
