“Red Rover, Red Rover” — On the eighth anniversary of his wife and daughter’s death, Jane receives a message from Red John, causing Jane to lose focus on his current case and put the investigation and his career at the CBI in jeopardy, on THE MENTALIST on Thursday, May 10 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Ray Wise (“Twin Peaks,” “How I Met Your Mother”) guest stars as Dennis Victor, the owner of a brokerage firm where the CBI’s latest victim was an employee.

    Well every episode includes the word or an allusion to "red" in the title.

    The core focus of the show is about Jane seeking revenge, the pilot started with the opening words "When first embarking on revenge, dig two graves" from a chinese proverb.

    Basically the entire series is going to be about Jane seeking revenge, I don't think Jane will ever finally catch / kill Red John until the series finale.

    So Darcy will be back...should be interesting. I'm looking forward to and dreading watching Jane spiral out of control, I hate to see him go through something like this but I also know it's going to make some good TV.

    No Maxine Bahns or Isabella Acres (she must have outgrown the character, though)?? No new flashback? :'( I At least I hope they use some old footage then.. 

    Every episode I'm hoping for some new flashback of his family.. I mean when was the last (and only) one?? In Redwood! O.O

    Ray Wise... I have seen a couple of episodes of Twin Peaks, really want to catch up on it sooner rather than later... Saw him on Psych in a couple of episodes, including the Twin Peaks reunion episode...

    Actor David Kaufman was Gary Wineman on The Mentalist, ep "The Red Mile" and return in ep "Red Rover, Red Rover." But I do not remember him.
